I had a deeply uncomfortable and disturbing experience at this brow threading place and would not recommend it, especially to Black women or people of color. First, the service itself was poor. The owner completely chopped my brows, making them thin without my consent or any discussion about shape or thickness. What I asked for was not honored at all. On top of that, the tint color used was completely incorrect for my skin tone. More troubling than the bad service was the behavior. The owner was blatantly racist in her demeanor toward Black African American women and darker skinned clients. The comments and treatment were noticeably different and disgusting. First time here but not a first timer to threading. I decided to check this place out to get my eyebrows done for wedding festivities. Walking in, the place is clean and elegant. It seems to be family operated, with the father at the counter, the daughter and mother both doing the threading. I'm so glad the daughter was able to do my eyebrow as she was kind and patient. But the mom, omg. Maybe she needs to lay off the coffee but using a stern, loud and uncalled tone for paying customers is a big no no. She was appalled that a child had their feet on their couch. Lol. Put a sign up if it's that important, her attitude was uncalled for. I even heard the father saying shhh..it's okay after she almost yelled at the child. If I was the child mom, I would of clapped back but all the customers were quiet and patiently waiting. Back to my eyebrows, I got them threaded and also tinted and paid $31. I was recommend by the daughter to do tint to darken my eyebrows and cover up my grays. Lol mistake. It didn't cover it up. But oh well. Other than that, I might check this place out again, hopefully the mother won't be there, because she definitely needs to work on her customer service. read more

UNEVEN EYEBROWS !!!! It kills me to write a bad review for a small business but my eyebrows are very uneven. One is thicker than the other. The women who did them said their was a reason for it but, the arches don't even match. I didn't ask her to fix it for fear would end up worse. Came here to get my brows cleaned up before an event for the weekend. I was able to walk in and check in for service. There was one other person on front of me and there wasn't much of a wait. I'm not used to threading and my threader was very patient with me cause I didn't know how to hold my eye brows. Overall it didn't hurt as much as the last time from another place (I have thick hair). After it was done I was surprised it looked so clean, lol. If I can give negative stars, I WOULD! Do NOT go here. I don't know how they have a 4.5 star. I assume it's fake scam reviews. Anu did my eyebrows and butchered one. Even though I explained I don't want the extra hairs taken out. When I saw in mirror and asked why she took the hairs I asked not to. She just responded with "in my calculation it is ok". I interpreted that basically she did it how she wanted. I expressed I was not happy. She ignored my feelings and frustration without any concern or empathy. In fact she was so rude, that even though I still paid for the eyebrows, she didn't even thank me. I left and later called on the phone and asked to speak to the manager or owner. She was yelling at me on phone and saying "I will not give to you, you find for yourself". So I went back in person so that I can get the owners information. Anu gave me a card that had a number and had me call it and said that was the owner and that the owner is in INDIA. Came in spontaneously at 10am and they were surprisingly open. Sign on the door read closed, the doors swung open any ways. No one else in the store so social distancing wasn't an issue. She had a chair set up right by the front door and was already sanitizing it as I stepped in. I would highly recommend stopping by for your brow needs. So glad some places are open. Before && After... Being in quarantine not being able to get my nails done or my brows done has been torture but I was finally able to get them done today! Anu always hooks me up with my brows, she keeps me on point. I remember the first time I went to her && I knew she was gonna be the one to do my brows from that point on! I found her cause another shop messed my brows up but she was able to fix them && still keep them thick how I like them, she's amazing. I left with two totally different shaped brows. I would have said something in person however I wasn't handed mirror at the end of my appointment to even check. I should have known better than to assume my brows would have matched! I'm not even that picky but it's real noticeable hence the reason for the review. This is my second time getting my eyebrow threading. I usually do waxing and threading is slightly less painful. Although it is less painful, threading takes a bit longer in my opinion. I went in because they had a special since it is under a new management according to their sign outside their building. The lady Anu who did my eyebrow was friendly and she was very nice. I thought that the end result was okay. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. She kind of left some small pieces of hair on the eyebrow that I needed off. Overall, it was okay. The prices are kind of expensive in my opinion. They do have a full face option and I think I would just do my whole face that costs $30, rather than doing individual parts of my face that could potentially cost more. read more

I immediately feel in love with the intimate, glamour girl space, with blinged out lighting. I was warmly greeted by Nazia. She was excited to see me, and my eyebrows were excited to see her. We figured out what I wanted. Nazia made me feel at ease. We chatted about life, current events, traveling, errands, why I am so hairy, LOL. I was in SERIOUS need of Nazia and she DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Teal walls, with a marble tile, white furniture and mirrors.... and such a clean, comfortable environment. CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH! I came in today because of a FiveStar locals deal that said "$3 off any service" and even upon walking in, I mentioned the $3 off and the lady acknowledged the coupon. It wasn't until AFTER my eyebrow threading that she said I could only take $1 off per visit, that I'd have to come back 3 times for the full $3. That makes no sense! Very rude, argumentative and unfriendly lady. I have been to her for eyebrows threading 7-8 times. Earlier the owner, Anu used to have a card on which she would sign every time a costumer would get threading done. She recently went digital. After threading, you give your number and your points are added on the computer. I think after every 8 sessions of threading, one threading is free. Last time when I went I told her that most of my threading sessions are on the card. So she took the card from me and said "I've added them into the system and let me trash the card for you as its useless now. All your previous sessions have been entered into the system." I went today and saw that I only have 20 points from last time and todays threading. I told her that previous sessions are not showing and you yourself had entered the session on your computer and ripped the card for me. On this Anu said you should have kept all the 'thank you for coming' messages in your phone of previous sessions. I told her that I delete those messages as they are either thank for coming messages or deals for threading that are valid for only next two weeks. Since I dont have the need to get eyebrows done in two weeks I delete those messages. I mean who keeps thank for coming messages, it just extra data in your phone. She said since you dont have the record I am not going to honor your previous sessions!!! Although she was the one who apparently had entered my sessions from card on her computer. She even remembered me and knows that I've been there several times but she kept talking in loud voice to me that she wont honor previous sessions. From 6-7 sessions, my sessions were reduced to mere 2 sessions. I was due for a free threading next time. We kept going back and forth and I told her again that she herself had transferred the sessions from the card onto her computer but she kept blaming me that I should have saved those 'thank you for coming' messages. After paying and tipping her (probably shouldn't have) I just left the place. She basically lost all the record of my previous threading sessions for which she somehow rudely blamed me. I lost my free threading session. Also she wears gloves while doing threading but she has the same gloves on even while shes on phone (shes on phone a lot) so the basic purpose of wearing gloves while doing other chores is gone. Moreover, her initial price was $6 and now she has increased it to $10. For this much price there are numerous threading places in elk grove and sacramento who do a much better job. They are friendly, not argumentative like Anu. I am never going back to this place again. read more
