David dropped the ball on 2 items when we bought our house. we new ahead there was a problem with these 2 issues and he still didn't catch them. We have no recourse against the seller because of his negligence and it has cost us over 400 to fix the issues. would never recommend or use again and our realtor who gave us their name was embarrassed and put in his own money to help with the problem and said he would never use them again. don't waste your money with this company and of course you have to pay them up front. what a joke read more

We just went under contract for our home in Bend and needed a home inspection. Our Realtor gave us Brickkicker's name and a couple of others, but I could tell she really preferred Brickkicker. We are so glad we went with them! David, the owner, did our inspection and was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, took his time, answered all our questions, and did not talk 'over us'. David is incredibly thorough with his inspection. He found a key water heater issue that we were able to resolve with the seller. Had this issue not been found, it would have meant big bucks for us. Missed big issues with the house we bought in 2017, poor sealing in bathrooms, toilet that gushed water all over the floor when flushed, etc. Posting a review now as it appears to be a common issue with them. read more

David did a home inspection for us and we are very impressed with his work and professionalism. Getting a home inspection done during this time of social distancing can be a nerve-wracking prospect since you cannot walk through the home with the inspector, but nevertheless David did an excellent job and provided a thorough and thoughtful report that was incredibly helpful in the home buying process. read more

June 21,2019 Jeff Newberry of Brickkicker did a home inspection of my home I was selling and in the process he broke my garage door opener, damaged the breaker box door, left windows unlocked and my back door unlocked. He claimed he didn't break the opener or damage the breaker box but both were in working order before he touched them in the inspection. I tried to get him to come and fix them but he said he wasn't responsible and refused to come back and fix what he broke and damaged. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone! read more

By far, the worst building inspector I've ever dealt with - and I've bought and sold eight houses. They missed big things (e.g., building code violations) and small things (e.g., broken window, rotted molding). They used some fancy-looking electronic gizmos during their inspection, but seemed more interested in showing off those toys than in doing nuts-and-boots inspection work. When confronted with their deficiencies, they dissembled, obfuscated, denied...but offered to refund our fee, which was nowhere near the amount of money we paid in repairs after relying on their "report." Don't let them near your house. read more

Would never recommend them to anyone. Our inspector nit-picked our home and listed several things "that COULD go wrong" with our 6 year old home. Said our fireplace was not operational but didn't spend the time to even turn it on.. it in fact IS operational and works just fine. Descriptions and a lot of "maybe this could happen in the future.." seemed like it was made to scare buyers. read more

This is the best experience buying a home ever! Not only was the inspector (who happened to be the owner) professional and very detailed, he also went out of his way to answer all of my questions. I have purchased a lot of homes throughout the years and this by far was a very pleasant experience. In April 2017, Brick Kicker of abend Oregon performed a home inspection of my the home my daughter was selling. The inspector noted the kitchen sink and garbage disposal were operational. Upon returning home after the inspection, she discovered that the garbage disposal was broken. We invited the inspector and owner to view the damage and requested they pay for the cost of the replacement disposal($90) and we would assume the cost and responsibility of installation. They were insistent that they did not break the unit; we couldn't understand how they could say it was in working order only hours before and then hav it broken. We discovered that they had unscrewed a part that caused it to break. We asked if they would be willing to even split the cost of the disposal. Despite agreeing and our providing copies of receipts on four occasions they will not reimburse the $45 expense. On a different matter, they also knocked a bottle of soap onto the floor when they were using a ladder, crushed the bottle by stepping on it spilling the contents and then didn't clean up. read more
