I ordered a fridge back in December 2020. Still have no fridge, and it's being pushed back yet again, until September. Almost 10 months waiting. Decided to go with Home Depot, as they are able to deliver the fridge within the week. read more

Every sales person in here is just trying to meet their goals for the year; or at least that what it feels like. They make big promises when you are looking for products and when you go for billing, everything just falls apart. While shopping, we were told that once we pay 10% of the amount, the item goes on hold for us with the price. However, after paying 10%, when we returned 4 days later, we were told that the chairs for our dining table were out of stock (even though they were in stock when we paid the booking amount). The billing people are a totally different story - rude, have zero patience and shout at the sales person (one of their own) in front of customers. Wow. folks? Don't buy mattresses here. They may be comfortable and feel nice but seriously once they fail way before their time? They will find any way to not stand by their product. I have been fighting their ONLINE warranty program for over a year. Read that again. ONLINE. So as the customer we have to do all the leg work and measuring and oh guess what? They don't like pictures xyz since it does not use their tools. Seriously folks. They do not have techs to send out and do the warranty write up. I tried 3 different way to get the measurements they required and each time they said no we do not like that denied denied denied. The mattress is 4 years old into a 10 year warranty and has 2 inch sags on it and one box spring is sagging in a spot. Now, we bought and have religiously used the waterproof mattress protector on it. It was ALWAYS on it save for when it was getting washed. This thing was $160 for the cover alone. Mattress set $1500 approximately. We thought it was comfy and nice but now? two massive sags and a hump in the middle. At 4 years old? What a shitty product. Trump LUX mattress in king with matching boxsprings and it is FAILING. We fight and fight and serta ( the mattress producer) finally says pay $75 for a technician to come out and do the measurements. Well great get it done! The tech himself was nice. HOWEVER. They note what they think is a stain and DENY AND VOID the warranty. Are you kidding me! I go and look? It is a streak of orange crayon. which as all logical people know does NOT affect the wear and tear on a mattress. Serta/Brick are looking for any reason not to do any work or customer service. They noted yes it has big sags. Yes it needs replaced but OH OH LOOK A CRAYON STREAK that they classify as *soiling* voids the warranty. ARE. YOU. SERIOUS. What a blatantly USELESS company for anything. I will guarantee that NOTHING has been spilled on this mattress. EVER. And yet this is the game they want to play? Game on. Small claims court here we come. Lesson: DO NOT BUY MATTRESSES here. Be aware of how they will look for anything to possibly void your warranty and not stand by their below subpar product. Be aware of how they shove all the legwork onto you, the client to prove there is a problem. Be aware of how all they want is your $$ and then do nothing for it. Spread it far and wide. What garbage service they provide; they should be ashamed. For the money we spent, we expect a decent life on such a bed and it is simply junk. Bought a sectional and was told delivery would be end of September so I gave away my sofa in readiness. When I called to chase delivery I was told they could deliver only the footstool, sectional delivery was now end of October. Called again for delivery date only to be told it is now end of November due to covid. I told the guy this was a poor excuse as I ordered during covid and they shouldn't sell sofas, take money if they cannot delivery. I asked to speak with a manager and was told Mia would call me back within an hour. Three days later and no call. My friend and also another family member purchased goods at the same time and they have received the sane shoddy treatment. Absolutely disgraceful service. No respect for customers. Will never buy online from The Brick again. Horrible experience. Sectional sofa ordered a month ago. Delivery date chosen but then not delivered until the following week. Upon delivery, by an unidentifiable third party contractor, I was informed that they would not be setting it up and that I had to do that myself. Okay, no problem...until it was discovered that there were parts missing. Dealing with the Sunridge location directly to rectify this situation has been extremely frustrating and I was told that the parts were delivered on September 8th but could not be completed as occupant not home. What a complete crock, I was home working that whole day. The delivery people didn't leave anything either and now I find out they want me to go to their shop to pick up the parts. I just purchased a electric fireplace with a friend in Calgary for his new home The brick did not inform us that the furniture would have to be built by us. They made no reference to this and they drop the furniture off and left. When we started to assemble the piece one piece is missing upon contacting the store the response has been zero the management has been in meetings apparently all afternoon and evening does not return her phone calls refuses to take back the defective product. read more

Purchased a dining suite a couple weeks ago from the Brick at Heritage Meadows. It came when expected but when I was putting it together I noticed some defects on the table and a few chairs were wobbly. Queen (Customer Service Rep) was awesome!!! She worked with me to find a resolution that I was happy with. They replaced the table immediately and sent a technician to fix the chairs. The set is perfect for me and I appreciate what Queen did to ensure I was a satisfied customer and would use this Brick location again. read more

I bought sofa set on the boxing day sale, the sales man says it will arrive in March. I called them to figure out the expected day for delivery, the said may be June! They keep selling the items that they don't have and even don't know when it will ready. On March first, I chat with customer service on the website and complaint, all what they have is sorry!! You can change with the items available in stock. I requested a call from the manager of Beacon hills store, a lady called me in 2 hours her name is Norei , she said she is the manager and she didn't now when my sofa set will be available. All what they have is either wait and see or choose other replacement for the sofa set from the available stock. I told her this is not fair, this considered fake Boxing sale. I can't replace the set with similar items with double price. She said I will look of best deals or same set in other location to get my order on time. Then she asked me to go to my sales man after 4 days. So, I went to meet him on time, March 5th , he knows nothing about the whole issue. Then he said he will forward the issue to operation something to search for the items. No news so far, I met him today, still he doesn't know. I even looked for replacement items on their website, all items are much higher price plus no single complete sofa set is on stock!!!! I am really frustrated, and decided not to deal with The Bricks again. Absolutely horrible service they take your money and after don't care. we spent over 10,000 on purchasing items for our home and the everything was delayed and they don't even have a curtesy to inform you their is more delays on the original frame you are given, they want you to sign a waver when you get items delivered stating they take no responsibility if they damage your house! Don't ever buy anything from this company nor an extended warranty. First there is barely anybody kind or with good customer service at all in the customer services area in any of the branches I have been on. Second I bought a refrigerator with an extended warranty directly from them one year and half ago and all of the sudden stop working, I have been trying to get the repair done with the warranty , it's been a nightmare, |I have phone all the possible number that appear in the purchase papers: the phone numbers you dial don't even respond its always a machine telling you to hold due high volume of calls at 08:00 am in the morning unbelievable. When they finally answered they said the technician were busy and they gave me an appointment for the end of next week. Just remember the fridge nor the freezer are working so food is going to be spoiled by the time of the service. So disappointed and the worse part is that there isn't anybody you can complain to. I will NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They have lost all credibility for me. I purchased a couch online for the first time. I was really excited to receive it. First of all they made a mistakes when they delivered for the first time the lady at the customer service confirmed only the ottoman ( I had the sofa + the ottoman that was supposed to come with it, you can't use the sofa without it). I received only the ottoman...The same day I made a call to the customer services. Same lady answered me (very incompetent). She set up another date for the delivery for the following week. The next day the company called me to tell me that I had to pick up the order before the end of the week or i could lose the sofa because it was still at the warehouse. So, I arranged for my boyfriend to be there for the delivery. UNTIL THEN I was very calm and respectful, I always said to myself that mistakes happened to everyone. Once the delivery arrived the sofa couldn't fit in the space I wanted it to be. (Oops my mistakes this time). BUT then the delivery people left the sofa in my entire kitchen which is actually very small. According to the lady I spoke on the phone afterwards they are not supposed to leave the furniture there if it does not fit. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO TAKE IT BACK. I was very frustrated after that. It ruined my entire Christmas vacation because I had to call the office every day the entire time. NO ONE EVER REPLIED TO ME. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I only wanted them to answer me so I can set up another pickup or a reselection. Me and my boyfriend had to go at the store location to talk to the customer service. Once we were there, we explain the whole situation and we were very pleasant and calm considering the situation. The customer service people approved the reselection, and we were happy with the person who helped us reselect something. The seller told us we could trust him and he would call us in 6 days to confirm the swapping and the delivery and everything would be delivered the day after. But then I NEVER received a single call from this person EVER. I had to call myself AGAIN to confirm the delivery. NOTHING HAS EVER been confirmed. To this day I'm still waiting for my delivery that I paid 1200$ for. It was supposed to arrive in 2 days... As I have to confirm everything myself... I have been working myself in customer service for about 7 years now and I never have seen this poor a quality of services in my entire life. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. This company is banished for me. We have made a few purchases here over the last 4 years. Most of the time when we have it's been purely on price and mainly for appliances. My most recent visit was to purchase a dryer as ours had died. I was looking for cheap and cheerful as we aren't planning on staying in our current home long term and don't want to move them. I went in on a Saturday. First of all it is so packed full of furniture its hard to navigate the store. Add to that what had to be at least 50 sales people, aimless and wandering and getting to the area of the store you want is like an obstacle course. In one section there were about a dozen sales people sitting on the furniture, watching the TV's across the aisle, very professional. As soon as you are about ten steps in, the sales people start circling like vultures. It is creepy and annoying.Even if you tell one to leave you alone another comes back in their place. While I was checking out dryers, my lurker was sticking so close despite my telling him I am "just looking" that I almost bumped into him twice. But he was doing it so his co-vultures wouldn't swoop in. Madness. Anyway if you need an appliance and have done some research ahead to know what you want, their prices can be good. I wouldn't recommend buying any furniture there as it a) is cheap quality and b) if it arrives "wrong" they are horrible to deal with to fix it. We bought a kitchen table and the chairs were missing parts and they argued with us that it couldn't happen-until I sent pictures. Even then they were unapologetic. Also if you do buy something, avoid giving your number as an automated message will call you about 15 times a year with special offers. read more

I purchased a small accent table from the Deerfoot Brick. I was directed to the distribution center. Staff were nice and gave me their pager explaining how it works. So I went out to my truck to sit and wait. It appeared they were busy, so I might have to wait a bit. I started to notice that some customers were arriving and departing as I waited, still no page. Now I had been waiting for about 1 1/2hrs, so back into the office to inquire about the delay. The lady advised me that I had picked it up and signed for it over an hour ago. I politely told her I had not received the item nor had I signed for it. I showed her the pager I still had. So her and a fellow who I assume was a warehouse supervisor checked the paper work and determined that the item had been given to another customer. They told me they would look for another one. I waited another 20 minutes and received the item. I got home started assembly and noted it was damaged. The damage was inside the drawer and not really visible so I decided I had gone through enough hassle and pretty well wasted a whole day and didn't want to go through trying to return it. This was very shoddy service, and didn't get much of an apology from the staff. Years ago I promised myself I would never shop at the Brick again. Well I went back on my promise and now I'm paying for it. New promise made. read more

On a mission to find the mattress set of my dreams, I wandered into The Brick. I was immediately escorted to the department I was interested in and introduced to the sales person that would be helping me for my visit. The sales person was helpful however the selection was far from impressive. They had only 3 types of the kind of mattress I was looking for and out of the 3, none of them float my boat. What I did appreciate about The Brick however, is the fact that they deliver free of charge, and their staff will take away the old mattresses with them. I was ok with the selection but promised to deliver over the weekend but they could not due to miscommunication on their side. FInally they promised Tuesday delivery, which also was not happening until I called and corrected my details. After all this the store Manager Thomas (Kelly) promised the delivery refund but forgot about it completely until I reminded to him few days later and as a last step, now they want me to go to store to collect my refund, which means another hour of my time. read more

My first experience from the Brick was a nightmare. I bought a bed on sale because it was a good price. It needed to be picked up at the distribution Center which was a 40 minute drive from the store. After bringing it home we opened the boxes to find that instead of a left and right piece for the footboard there was two lefts. So on the phone with customer service and we have to wait for it to come in the mail. Three weeks. Three weeks of sleeping on the floor. I called to confirm it was the right piece and to check on the timing twice. When it finally did arrive, we opened the box and it was a left piece.. for a totally different bed! Customer services suggestion was to wait another three weeks!! This level of customer service is so bad. I know they have multiple pieces sitting at the distribution Center they could open a box and give us the piece and wait themselves for the replacement. Or give us part of the store model. Eventually they agreed to let us return the bed. When we returned the bed to the distribution Center for credit the computer wouldn't give us the refund so they had to get the store to do it over the phone. I would not suggest buying anything from the Brick! We went to Ikea and had a bed up and ready in one afternoon with only one trip. read more

You'll hear a lot of negative reviews about The Brick. I can only speak from experience, only about this store, and only about their Commercial Sales department. And this is not a negative experience. Our Home Builder chose The Brick to supply appliances and discounted home items. For appliances, we had to deal with them, and for anything else we needed, we would get a discount. I've never been a big fan of The Brick and their selection. There is nothing inherently wrong with it, but it just doesn't really match my tastes. That said, we found a bedroom set we loved and, like I mentioned earlier, had no choice on appliances. We dealt with Frank, who's last name escapes me, on both the appliances and bedroom set. Aside from being slightly forgetful, he was awesome and I strongly recommend visiting him. But, with anything surrounding a new home, make sure to get EVERYTHING in writing. A few things you should know. Most importantly, the commercial sales division of The Brick will not price match. In our case, we were able to get the price pretty close to a massive sale that Future Shop had on appliances, but this is rare. Don't be shocked when the lowest price guarantee goes out the window when dealing with commercial sales. Also, unless you are paying in full, you are not guaranteed your items will be in stock when you need them. In our case, the appliances didn't all come at once and our bedroom set was missing pieces during the first delivery. That said, we were very happy. The appliances are awesome (stainless steel Samsung) and the bedroom set has been rock solid. Frank also got us a great deal on everything and saved us a lot of money. Of course, my fiance is to thank for that, as she is a very aggressive woman when it comes to getting the best price. read more

Terrible experience at the Signal Hill location in Calgary. We were the only ones in the store, and the employee was completely uninterested in helping us. Did not give us the Protection sheet to use on the beds, did not come greet us, would not look at us when we asked a question. SO rude. Decided to order on line instead, and filled out concerns on website, and left phone message at head office. NO ONE even got back to us. THEN our mattress was sent to the wrong pick up location, and I had to drive much further to pick it up that I would have if it had gone to the Heritage location as requested. Don't get anything from this store!! We got a couch with a warranty that costed around $300. We have a dog and a kid in the house so the couch got ugly (but quality was already BAD beforehand). So we asked them to replace it with the warranty. Guess what? They said it's misused and neglected? We sit on this couch everyday! WITH A KID FFS! So at the the time of purchase they force you to buy the warranty but when we need to claim the warranty their services is appalling, we bought a brand new fridigaire in October2020 and all of a sudden on the sat evening 18 th April the fridge started making loud crackling noises , I got so scared I turned it off , the warranty office is closed on the weekend so we waited till Monday, on calling the warranty we were told the tech will visit by 10th May if not sooner and nothing else can be done , so now we are without a fridge waiting for the guy to come and check the fault.....not happy with the bricks services , really wish to throw their fridge out and buy somewhere else as a new one will hopefully been deleted even before the tech.. read more

If there is a negative score i can give to The Brick deerfoot meadows heritage drive i will give them one. I purchase a dining set last december 19 2020. I called them February of 2021 they told me that chairs are available but the dining table is not yet available they mentioned that it will arrived May 2021. I just called them today to ask if its already available and they told me again that the table is already in stock but the chairs will be available by June. I think this people are making me stupid. Moved our Meat, Chicken, Fish, Ice creams and lots other items from our old freezer, which was far more better, next day everything thawed out and big loss Complained to the store manager and he says it's Human Error, we cannt do anything about it. REALLY. It was the staff negligence, which they are not taking the blame. Never ever going to buy anything from The Brick , Staff not aware the difference between a freezer and a fridge. After a series of problems, I hope to finally receive the couch I paid for in November next week. Small problem: We requested delivery, but somehow our sales order instructed "hold for pickup." Not a big problem in of itself, but it lead to the subsequent problems. Big, annoying, deal-breaking problem: When we were called to arrange pickup but instead re-requested delivery, the guy took my credit card number to pay for the $80 delivery fee and set up a delivery date. My card was not charged for some unknown reason. The delivery people were supposed to call the morning of to set up a 2 hour window. They didn't call. I spent over an hour total on the phone (most of it on hold) trying to figure out where my couch was. I was first told it was on the truck and I would be called within 30 min for a delivery time frame. After 45 min I called back and I was told it was not on the truck due to an unpaid balance of 80$. I was put back on the phone with a sales guy, who was completely unapologetic, but to get me off of the phone agreed to waive the delivery fee and reschedule delivery. We went in there on a Sunday evening and had the most pathetic salesperson. She kept lowering her mask and told us that the chair was made in Canada. When we got to her cubicle to complete the sale, she actually turned the keyboard towards me and told me to input my information. I'm not touching someone's dirty keyboard. It just got worse from there. She was unprofessional and at the end of the sale actually asked me to participate in a prank on her cousin who works there. Its now been 10 weeks and no sign of the chair. We were told the end of December. Its now Jan 19. For a chair that's allegedly Canadian made, why are we waiting for a slow boat from China? The customer service department was pathetic and management had zero interest in making us happy. They would not give us the floor model or compensate us in any way for their lies. The Brick wont get any rating. I bought a washer and a dryer on the 30th of July. It finally arrived on the 6th of August, 2020. It's still not hooked up and I've talked to so many different people that were not helpful and caused me nothing but grief and stress. The operations manager last name BIRI told me and promised me it would be installed and hooked up on the 6th of August. The Brick makes promises they cannot meet and try to get ahold of someone that can help you, not possible. When you do they make up excuse after excuse. I've had to go to a laundry mat for a week and they wont reimburse me or give me a discount. I will never ever EVER purchase anything from the BRICK. BUYERS BEWARE GO ELSEWHERE. read more

Lying crooks. My family bought furniture from them, with the extended warranty, and contacted them that one of the couches had torn. Keep in mind that all we wanted was for them to honor their promises and fix the couch. Instead, they say that we "waited too long to notify them", keep in mind that the warranty is not up yet, and we've now been notified that our warranty has been voided on the couches. The Brick also says that if you don't use up your warranty before it is up, you can get an in store credit of $90. Do not believe anything that is promised to you when you get the warranty. They will negate in anyway that they can. Will never support such a hoard of sneaky liars. read more

Basically my wife and I purchased a sectional sofa on April 1st as we were expecting our first born son.. we dealt with the salesman and because I'm nice, I won't mention his name at this time... Anyways, we purchased the sectional sofa on April 1st.. the A$$hole didn't even enter our order that we actually paid for until May 3rd.. Basically a boatload of people in between the day of April 1st (date we actually purchased the couch and May 3rd) magically bumped in front of us in line because they quote "paid full price" for the same couch that we were told would be getting VIP pricing on.. Long story short, we were told between May 5th and May 25th at latest, we would be getting our couch.. instead we got an unsympathetic-explanation which was COMPLETE BS amd were told we may or may not see our coach by the end of JULY ... And it gets better.. "We totally understand if you want a full refund, or you can use your purchase price credit towards coming and picking something that's in stock".. which anyone knows that means we'll be spending up to an extra 1000 to $2,000 extra now to get what we want rather than that smoking deal we got on something we wanted in the first place ... Needless to say they'll never see us step foot in the brick again... Not even remotely sorry.. nor did they seem to care. If I could give 0 stars I would. We bought a new washer and dryer set in the new year from the Heritage Meadows location. Took months for the dryer to arrive. The Brick (finally) delivered and installed the new dryer on Saturday Apr 9 and removed our (perfectly fine and working) older dryer. On Sunday (the next day!) we go to turn the new dryer on and it makes this incredibly loud banging sound. Called The Brick (this is 1 day after delivery) and they agree to send a new one on Wednesday (Apr 13). The delivery guys came in and when they pulled the dryer out they noticed a big dent on the side. One commented that "the dryer must have been dropped." They called Merhit at 403 692 1100 who said that because the dent wasn't "noted in their files" they wouldn't take it back because they had no proof that... ??? a mom with three kids, didn't pull it out and beat it with a hammer?! Yes, it's as crazy as it sounds. The Brick delivered and installed the dryer, but I'm the one who must have dropped it somehow within the first 24 hours. I can't even get my head around what just happened. read more
