I bought faulty design Micah floor lamp, and when I wanted to return it after 2 days, they charged me 25% stocking fee, They don't care if you buy faulty poor quality products, they are all about the stocking fee regardless. BUYER BEWARE. I made an order two years and seven months ago and my items are still on back order. I have paid in full, upfront, and I still keep getting the same run around from the customer service department. The staff has had such a high turn-over that nothing ends up getting resolved before one person leaves and other fills the position. I actually had my original sales rep phone me after she quit to let me know that she was leaving the store due to the dishonesty of non-deliverable items that they were still selling. The terrible customer service that we have to go through at head office made her powerless to do anything for her customers. She went onto explain that this consistently happens to customers on a regular basis. I have had three deliveries with wrong items or items that have been damaged and they have been sitting in my basement now for 1-2 years waiting for a scheduled pick-up that never seems to happen. I also paid top dollar for their premium delivery, and they still refused to bring the items upstairs which was part of the delivery contract. When the delivery company dropped off my last order, they told me that they are always worried with EQ3 deliveries because the items delivered are usually wrong and the 'backordered' items never end up getting delivered. Of course most people take it out on the delivery company. They told me of a man that was waiting one year in an unfurnished apartment with a mattress on the floor awaiting his order. I am still waiting for my three lamps and the Replay Ottoman Cover. I am also out $400 due to the delivery of several incorrect items. I have not been reimbursed because the items need to be picked back up for inspection from the delivery company. Because the delivery company is contracted out, they refuse to have the delivery company pick up their items from my house without having me paying another delivery charge. This is not the worst part. IKEA has better quality than EQ3, my dining room chairs are falling apart, all they use is glue to adhere them together. I have the finish actually peeling and falling off my bookshelves and media stand (which were items that were damaged and replaced). The only items that are decent quality are the leather sofa and duvet cover. Everything else is terrible. I spent over $12,000 with EQ3 and feel completely taken. I would never recommend this place to anyone unless they have a decent item that is actually in stock. read more

I originally spoke with sales assosiate, Tiffany in the store a few weeks back. She was assisting both myself and a good friend of mine, she was so super helpful this day but what has been amazing is her follow through with me. I am renovating and re-designing our house while my husband is out of country and so she offered to come take a look at my space, today she was able to come over and assist me with placing just the right piece of furniture in my main living space while also bringing to light an entire new floor plan I hadn't even thought of, I'm so thankful for this because I was really struggling with the space on my own, (I have a slightly less creative mind then her) I feel so confident about the space now and I couldn't be happier with my picks! I want to commend Tiffany personally because it has been a LONG time since I felt I've encountered a sales associate as passionate and as professional as her. I felt more like I was trusting in a personal friend for advise then I was interacting with a company. on that note, I have to mention how much I LOVE that EQ3 is a Canadian company and most of the furniture is made in Canada, what a concept, it feels good to support a local company with high quiality and decent costs. I am so excited and looking forward to my new couch and pillows, I feel like a 5 year old in candy shop! I wonder what EQ3 stands for? Huh - who knows. I like EQ3 and have for years. Today, after going to my favorite furniture stores in the hunt for my first king size bed (umm, exciting) we ended up dropping in to EQ3 to have a look having thought we found our bed at the last store. Well, we changed our mind. Sure enough the exact bed I was looking for presented itself in its perfect upholstered, simplistic, and modern form. SUCCESS!. We were quickly greeted, offered help and then after we perused we needed help with questions. A tall blonde girl (wish I knew her name) was quick to assist, suggest fabrics for the custom order and pointed out a few concerns we may not have thought of (ie: You're both tall and this has a foot board, did you consider that you might hate kicking it in your sleep??). Well we hadn't, but thanks for the point of view. Blonde girl humored us by grabbing the various fabrics for us to envision, laughed at our random attempts to rationalize "copper" over "silver" and then explained why our choice was perfect! Today they had a scratch and save sale which allowed us to save 10% (boo..I wanted 50%) which made us happy to save a couple bucks. I like the products here, I like that its Canadian and hand crafted in Winnipeg, I love the great service and knowledge and I appreciated being able to customize the order. I now have an EQ3 bed that matches my EQ3 couch.! read more

I don't appreciate being talked in purchasing a warranty using false promises of what that warranty would give me. I was clearly told by Tiffany that the fabric warranty I purchased with my custom sectional allowed me to not only get free couch cleaning but also FULLY CHANGE THE FABRIC OF MY SECTIONAL AT NO COST. This I came to find out was not the case. When I inquired in store with the manager she barely gave me the time of day as if I was an inconvenience to her to have this 'outlandish' recollection of my sales process. Will never purchase from EQ3 again and strongly encourage anyone looking for home furnishings shop elsewhere. read more

LOVE EQ3! We had a great experience here, from the customer service, to great selection of furniture. Pricing is slightly higher but very fair, though you pay for great quality (actual wood, not veneer). Keep in mind you're not shopping at a bulk furniture store like others in that area, you have plenty of materials and colors to choose from. We were building our house when we picked out our furniture, and all we had to work with was a picture of our color pallet from the design center. Carissah was great to work with, giving us advice on styles and colors based on our home colors. When we changed our mind on a dining table we had ordered, it was no problem to cancel it (even though it was delivered at the warehouse) and we looked over the many brochures together to find exactly what we are looking for in style, finish and color. Their delivery for most of our items was earlier than scheduled, though our bar stools were delayed 2 months. Carissah offered us loaners that would be dropped off at our house for free, and for us to keep until our actual stools came in. We even received weekly updates from with regards to delivery. This is a great stress-free environment to shop in, with very helpful sales people. We have now had our furniture for a few months and couldn't be happier. We will definitely be back! read more

I absolutely love EQ3, it is higher priced but there is something about the designs of their items that are parallel to none. This store is generous in space not like the IKEA just blocks away and definitely not the same pricing but ... if I was going to spend more money on pimping my crib this is the place I would come no questions asked. This EQ3 location has a nice range of contemporary tables, chairs, sofas, bedroom sets and design accessories. Designs are sleek and functional, most units have storage areas and EQ3 keeps in mind that most urbanites are living in condo spaces and so they try to design around that. Minimal styling but the best use of space. I love EQ3 because the furniture is really well made, and last forever, I love the chrome touches and the great earthly colors. When you buy sets however here it takes approximately 4 weeks to get to you, this for me is the only drawback, if you are patient then go for it but the client usually needs that piece asap and will naturally venture to the big blue friend across the way. read more

EQ3 has some great designer items - a huge range of high end lighting - and best of all is their Canadian made furniture. The staff recognize me even though I am only in every couple months, but since the beginning they have been very helpful. I have ordered a custom upholstered leather lounge from them recently, and it exceeded my expectations. When decorating my place I like to get unique pieces. EQ3 is a great place to get those kinds of things! The furniture is expensive, $1,200 for a sofa, $500 for a chair. When I was looking for a dining table I looked here but they were all around $500 and the sale items were beat up. I wanted to get a new duvet cover, I had seen ones here before, so I went to check it out. They do have some beautiful covers and sheet sets. the had a small sale area, so I found a bright blue cover for $70. When they are normally $100, that's not bad! I also found a super soft chocolate brown sheet set for $40, regular $65. They have some great prints and colors, I love the sheets here! There are also some wicked home decor items. I found this clock that I had to have, it was $50, but it is timeless. They also carry some great glasses, they were at least $6 each though. The tableware was kinda drab. The staff here were nice enough, but the guy helping me took forever and a day to get my clock from the back. I really like EQ3, they don't seem to have much change in their variety if stock though. It is for sure a unique place to check out for home decor and furnishings! read more

After many months of admiring, I finally took the plunge and purchased a couch from EQ3. I found the staff to be very helpful. They really took the time to show me fabric options, provided samples and a detailed quote. So far I am very happy with the purchase, and was very happy with the delivery service as well. It was a quick and painless transaction. The delivery service was considerate - cleaned up, didn't bang the walls, etc. I'm eyeing other items at EQ3, and I'm sure I'll be back for more in the future! read more

Yes, very eager when selling you something but when you are there to pick your $1000 chair they just stare at you stupidly saying, "oh yeah, we can't help you with that but it's in the back of the store ready to go!" When i'm in Ikea, or some other mass store, I expect such lack of service. In this store i thought I was getting some thing more but apparently not. Over the summer, we purchased furniture for our condo complex foyers from EQ3. I have been told that their designer recommended it. If so, I definitely would not recommend them. Spatially, the sizing is all wrong, the colors are poorly chosen and do not compliment anything, some of the pieces are inappropriate for the areas. Our lovely once classic main entrance now looks like someone purchased an old dresser too large for the space (some suggest it looks like a file cabinet) and although the modern chair design is quite nice, the color chosen leaves one to wonder. Our back entrance now looks like Barbie's bedroom with inappropriate small and useless pieces put in a corner. Very sad... I have been told that EQ3 refuses to allow us to return the furniture, even for a credit to purchase more appropriate pieces. Not only an embarrassment to the people in this complex but also an insult. Anyone involved in this should find something else to do...they are obviously not able to understand the complexities of finding classic, warm and functional furniture that would appeal to a diverse group of people. Pushing one's personal agenda is not the way to go. Definitely would not recommend and will not shop there. read more
