Angela was so welcoming. I'm normally an espresso guy; she assured me their coffee was "called the best by some." I tried it and was pleased that it was smooth, not what I expected from drop coffee. When the cheesy hash browns weren't quite crispy enough for my East Coast tastes, she took them back to the kitchen for another pass. They came back perfect. The sausage patties were enormous and delicious, cooked just right. Definitely something for everyone at this lovely breakfast spot. We'll have to come back for lunch. read more

I. Love. This. Place. So. Much. Cute, eclectic, and the best service! When we went in it was packed, I think because of how cute the place is and how good the food is. They are also very knowledgable and aware of gluten free options for breakfast/brunch - which is so amazing for me and my gluten free pals out there. On their menu, they explicitly list out gluten free items although other things can be modified too! This place is so easy to forget about, but it's always there, always open in the mornings, and always good!

I discovered this little hole in the wall while visiting family. It has now become a staple in our visits to Kearney. Upon entering this establishments I feel like I am back in my great grandmother's kitchen with the canned veggies on shelves, mason jars being used as water glasses, rooster decor and preserves on the table. The staff is a group of older ladies and they are very friendly and efficient. The menu changes and is listed on a large chalkboard at the front of the restaurant. I usually order the breakfast sandwich with cheesy eggs. I wish the server would ask you how you like your egg on the sandwich or the menu listed what kind of egg came with it. I am not a fan of over easy eggs and have ended up picking the egg off my sandwich more times than I'd like to admit. The cheesy potatoes are good but I feel like they lack a little flavor. My husband loves their biscuits and gravy and my sister in law loves to crumble bacon on top of hers. The prices are reasonable for the portions you receive. read more

I love this little place. We had several people recommend it on our latest visit to Kearney, and after trying it once we had to return the next morning as well. The Breakfast Cart features an egg-heavy menu of classic breakfast choices done well. There are some rotating specials, and it looks like they offer some lunchtime sandwiches as well. We liked everything we tried, but I'll give a special shout-out to the excellent thick bacon, and the Huevos Rancheros were the best I've had. Service was friendly and relaxed. read more

A great place to get a solid home cooked breakfast. We stopped in late morning on a Sunday and were seated immediately. I got the two egg breakfast, my fiance the three. Our eggs were cooked exactly to order. The potatoes could use some seasoning, hence the hot sauce. Bacon was well cooked. We also split a pancake, and good on its own but add the syrup and magic happens. The prices are a bit much but portion size is good and service was excellent. Will be back, often! read more

Stopped here for a late brunch wile passing through Kearney. The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We ordered eggs. Most things on the menu involve eggs. The egg plates came with toast and a cheesy potato casserole. The toast was good. My husband enjoyed his eggs, although my scrambled eggs were not cooked well. We liked the idea of the cheesy potatoes, but they were surprisingly bland. The toast was good. We'd eat here again. read more
