The seafood dip was impeccable! Possibly the best thing we had. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was a letdown. It was SO hot inside the restaurant that it was almost uncomfortable, and our wait for the food was ridiculous. We ordered peach Bellinis, but they were extremely syrupy. My fiancé ordered the chicken and waffles but substituted pancakes for the waffles. The pancakes were super sweet and doughy, almost like they weren't fully cooked. The chicken was burnt, and the eggs were extremely runny. I ordered the Atlantic blackened salmon, which was actually good. I ended up sharing my meal with my fiancé while we waited for his food to be remade. They did provide additional food to go, which we appreciated, but by that point we had been there for over an hour and were ready to leave. The ambiance is nice, and the seafood dip was excellent, but based on our overall experience, I would not recommend the breakfast bar.
Enjoyed brunch. I didn't know this restaurant existed until a friend scheduled brunch. Simple but cute decor. Service was good. I ordered the jerk lollipop lamb chops. For sides, I went with collard greens & mashed sweet potato. Also had a watermelon lemonade. It was a bit sweet but good. Also had clean bathrooms.
10/10 worth the wait and price. Came here for the first time for Mother's Day weekend and I had a great time . This place did not disappoint and pass the vibe check. The server Anthony i believe his name was awesome and very helpful I'm sorry if it's not Anthony but he was tall skinny and Jamaican. Very entertaining and helpful when it came to helping us with being a first timer . The was a 10/10 an so where the drinks me and my friend had drinks from the Mother's Day menu which mine was called the " big mama " and hers called the motherland which were both good 8/10. We had the seafood dip for our appetizer which was creamy and full of shrimp 10/10. Moved on to the jerk lamb chops very tender and very saucy 9/10. Our sides consisted of collard greens, sweet potatoes and mash potatoes. 6/10. The show stopper was the lobster Mac and cheese the fried lobster tail was seasoned to perfection. I would definitely recommend it. Over all experience 9/10.
The place is decorated nicely although the cloth seating needs a good clean. They had stains from food on them. My catfish & grits were good. I opted not to make them cheese grits. My friend enjoyed her food too. They add an automatic 18% gratuity. You check out digitally so you don't get to see your itemized purchase. I texted the receipt to myself & that's where I seen the charge. Would have been nice to be told about the 18% or if it was written on the table or something. Either way the food was good. It wasn't crowded for a weekday but I don't think I'd pay $30 again for what I got. Catfish grits, toast & water.
Very nice interior. Sat at the bar.. I'm short so the bar was a little higher for me but it works just fine. There was no wait for the bar which works for party of 1. The music was a great 90's vibe at a very nice volume. The meal was excellent which was recommended by Saba. The fish and grits left me full enough to take food home. The espresso martini was made with absolute and was very tasty.
Firstly, the presentation of all the dishes came out pretty and fun. We loved all the details and flowers that were presented. I got the lobster avocado toast and was my favorite dish out all the ones I had with my family. The lobster was cooked to perfection and the flavors were all delicious. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. We were also enticed to try the special that they had going on that day which was the whole snapper. Bad choice. The fish wasn't what we expected, flavor and texture wise. We have high standards with seafood and should have known better. Also, it's unwise to order any fish special at any restaurant unless upscale as the fish is normally about to go bad and they will add that "special" price. I removed another star because the bright orange velvet seats were pretty dirty. At least in our booth. The color will never hide any stains so it's like you're sitting on the food people enjoyed before you. Pretty gross feeling but hopefully that was just our experience and not the entire restaurant. This seems like a popular birthday celebration spot so if you don't want any interruptions I would go during the week.
Came into the Breakfast Bar for an early breakfast on New Year's Day and it was a great experience. My wife made us reservation a few days before and we were seated immediately when we arrived. The host and waiters were extremely friendly and checked in on us continuously throughout our meal. Our waiter David was quick on his feet with recommendations and were patient with us when we took forever to make up our minds! As for the food, we ordered the chicken and waffle entree with the hot honey flavored tenders and the strawberry cheese cake pancakes with a side of eggs and bacon. Everything was delicious and the presentation was A1. There were a number of things on the menu we wanted to try, but because it was an our time we decided to play it say. So we definitely plan on coming back to try other things on the menu. If you're looking for a spot thats spacious, nice ambiance, dope playlist, and great food - this is the place.
This afternoon I had the pleasure of dining at The Breakfast Bar and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional! Our server, Michael, truly made the evening unforgettable with his stellar service. His upbeat personality, enthusiasm and extensive knowledge about the menu were impressive, and his recommendations were simply ON POINT! We all felt like Micheal was another family member. He has a way to draw you in and relate to his customers. For my entree of choice, indulged in the Sizzling Steak Skillet, which was amazing (Michael's recommendation) I loved that every meal was served piping hot just the way I love it! For my drink of choice, I elected the espresso martini topped with whip cream, and it was DEEEEEEELISH! We also tried the Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer, and oh my! They were absolutely appetizing. The batter was seasoned to perfection! Overall, the service was phenomenal, loved the mixed genre of tunes playing in the background, and I can't wait to return! I know we only rate 5 stars, but I give this establishment a 10 out of 10! Shouts out to Michael and Team, THANK YOU!!!
My last review of the year...and it's a great one! I came to the breakfast bar to celebrate my friend's milestone birthday. We had a 90 minute limit because the place is so busy. The food was fantastic and the service was top tier! The presentation the flavor...everything was on point I give it 10 stars and I can't wait to come back for great vibes and great food!
Visited on a late Friday morning for a quick bite before going to the spa. It was just me so I opted to sit at the bar. My server, the bartender, Anisah, came to me and explained how things worked, no Google pay, no apple pay, and no AMEX. I could scan the QR code for the menu and she asked my drink order. I ordered a water and mimosa while I reviewed the menu. She brought my mimosa then my water and I was ready to order food. I ordered fried green tomatoes as my appetizer then I ordered the veggie omelet and grits. I was surprised at how long it took for my food, or at least app, to come out given that it was a Friday morning and it didn't look too crowded. I was excited when my fried green tomatoes finally arrived because I was hungry lol. The tomatoes had a good flavor and crunch, but I would've preferred the batter to have been a little thinner as to not overpower the tomato. My omelet and grits arrived and I was already impressed with the omelet looking like the veggies were actually mixed with the eggs vs just being folded like a quesadilla. It could've used a little more seasoning but overall I was impressed. The grits were creamy and was a nice pairing with the omelet. I ordered another mimosa and got the check. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and was satisfied with the service.
The Breakfast Bar in Duluth is a nice trendy spot to grab a bite with friends. The restaurant is located in Duluth Village off of Peachtree Industrial Blvd. The interior appeals to the foodie trendsetters and the location offers plenty of interior and exterior seating. My husband and I visited during the week for breakfast and the location was still super busy. The staff was great, and willing to offer options since it was our first time. The food was super tasty. We each ordered a meal and shared an appetizer which was extremely flavorful!
I visited as i heard good things about The breakfast bar. The drinks looks so goods and drinks pretty well too. Service was great! Even though we had to wait a little because I reserved a booth but they were all taken but they made it work. The place is small but pretty, it is mixed with Family friendly/ brunch outing with your friends. See the pics how pretty the food and drinks are. Drive Drive Drive!!! It is worth a visit! So this is a nice little space to go to if you are going to be in a Duluth area. He's very big and spacious and it's very clean and done up very well as far as the core goes. It has some things that give Atlanta, if you know what that means lol but it will still tastefully done. You still have the grass walls for pictures, but I didn't see any hookah so I feel like it was still a win lol. Free parking in strip mall parking lot It's something to note. Sometimes you go into the city and you have to worry about paying for parking or valet or structures or something along those lines, this is already in a strip mall. So you don't have to worry about that, parking is free and available for everybody. Be aware that they take 18% right out the gate for the tip, so you will get a chance to add more if you want to though. But dont be shocked if you see the bill and its more than what you thought when you added it up from looking at the menu. Mimosa at the bar and it was good and Strong, Tee definitely took care while sitting at the bar. I got there early so I sat at the bar because I had time, a few minutes to spare. She was very nice and gave good conversation and a good mimosa. Mandy waited on us and was super nice and helped us through the menu. They don't take apple pay or American Express So for people who are trying to do that, you may want to reconsider and have a physical credit card with you. Also they have a 90 minute table time so plan accordingly. Now I'm sure the time of day matters, so if you get there right when there's going to be a church rush, they may be on your head about how long you are taking if you're going for too long but that's just something that they tell you at the beginning of the interaction so you are aware. Appetizer chicken (hot honey) - I thought that the chicken was really good. It had the right flavor associated with it. It was fairly crispy even though it had been tossed and sauce. Shrimp and grits - The shrimping goods were really good. I feel like I wish I ever been more of it but I understand lol. The shrimp and grits came with a nice amount of shrimp. Sometimes you go places and they only give you like four large or shrimp, not this place! And the flavor was really good too. The gravy that they use really set it off. Brussel sprouts - The brussel sprouts were okay but I guess they were what I expected. They were just regular fried brussel sprouts and they had some drizzle on them. But they really wasn't enough drizzle so it was basically just eating the Brussels sprouts themselves. Not a deal breaker, obviously I still ate them lol. But if you're going to give me a drizzle or glaze, actually put it throughout the small bowl of brussel sprouts and not just on a little strip. This joint was good overall. They have the grass walls and the neon lights that you expect from Atlanta restaurants but this was not in Atlanta but it still had that kind of vibe between it. Now I feel like if it ain't gotten later, it would have been very Atlanta lol. But it was still nice and calm and people are still coming from getting out of church so it will still a very good vibe and I enjoyed the environment. read more

11/10 recommend! Steak Skillet and Crab Benedict had our tastebuds tinglin'. The restaurant had the cutest aesthetic and the cocktails were one-of-a-kind. That being said, Mike was the best part of our experience - I'll remember him and the service he provided for the rest of my days. read more

I was greeted by a friendly hostess, taken to a table, given a small introduction to start my experience. A server followed before I could scan the electronic menu which was a joy for me! I ordered the Dolce Banana Pancakes, bacon, and eggs OM. I asked that all toppings be left on the side. I received Brown Sugar, melted butter, warm syrup, caramel, and sliced Banana. The portions were plentiful and very tasteful. I didn't take advantage of their full bar today, but I plan to come back. Oh, the staff and service was excellent. The prices are reasonable for the level of service that I received. read more

We had a great experience at The Breakfast Bar today! Our first time here. The menu is creative and diverse which was nice to see. We had the Peach Cobbler French Toast and the Shrimp and Grits, both were DELICIOUS. We appreciated the quality and presentation of the dishes. The space itself is SO cute inside.. it really fun vibrant vibe. For me personally the music was a bit overwhelming for AM hours, but everything else was so good that it didn't bother me. If you want a new experience for brunch this is a great spot! Also.. we didn't have any cocktails, but WOW they have a very creative cocktail offering in various super cool glassware... I saw so many cool looking drinks being made. read more

I took my sister and daughter here Saturday. I had previously been here and was impressed by their service the first go around. I came back bc of that. We got there around 12:30 ish Saturday. After ordering drinks I asked our waiter about getting some avocado slices for my baby like I did the previous time. He never came with an update, so I asked him again. He said they can do avocado toast. I agreed but he never put the order in ... so we basically waited over an hour for avocado toast for my baby. By that time my child was over being there. We ordered the chicken & waffles with TENDERS off the suggestion from the waiter, they bring out wings (cold btw) after also waiting well over an hour. We ended up asking for to go boxes. Back to the chicken. We mention that the chicken was supposed to be tenders he was like well I can bring them to you I said no at first cause we were over it. Anyways I take the BABAY to the car and my sister is packing the rest of the food. The tenders were supposed to be hot honey - they brought out regular tenders. AND CHARGED US FOR THE TENDERS ON TOP OF THE WINGS & IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE! My sister had to ask them to bring the sauce. By the time we got home (17 minutes) the macaroni sauce had completely separated from the noodles. It was terrible and expensive. read more

We had a 1 pm reservation but didn't get seated until a little after 1:30 pm because they were so busy. The drinks were slow coming out but a beautiful presentation. We were told they had discontinued one of the drinks, but then saw it on another table. We asked the server about it and he said that was the last one. If you want to discontinue a drink it should be completely. The seafood dip & fried green tomatoes were delicious. Everything was great, but they needed more help because things were slow coming out. If you don't wanna hear cowbells and clippers (aka birthday celebrations) 10+ times while there you are in the wrong place because they do it A LOT!! The booths are cute the way they are round but the tables should be more oblong vs round because they are too small for such big booths. I was glad we asked for a table with chairs. Overall this is a great place, but it stays busy so make reservations. read more

What a Fun, Vibrant, & Delicious place this is! This place echoes all the soul of ATL in every aspect. ATL is one of our happy places that we love to visit and the Breakfast Bar carries the ATL scene with an upbeat Vibe & kush Soul for an excellent culinary scene that's sure to put smiles on everyone's face. We had the Chicken & Waffles; Shrimp & Grits: Cajun Shrimp Pasta & Hot Honey Wings - for drinks we did Blueberry Mimosa and a Yummy Gummy. Everyone enjoyed all the dishes and we had no complaints - so glad we got to check this place out. If you'd like to come here then definitely grab a reservation. Don't miss out - give it a try! It is so sad that the food here was sooo great but I don't ever see myself returning back. Visited this place for a birthday brunch for a friend and we ordered a lot to be able to sample each other's food. The restaurant itself is beautiful, super fancy drinks that smoke or come in specialty presentations. You will definitely have an experience here. My issue was in the service and their posted policies. There's a 90 minute limit on tables? I already feel awkward about this because we're not down in the city but ok.. but when it takes 60 minutes for everyone in your 4 person party to receive their food? That's not ok. Their menu clearly discloses their 18% mandatory gratuity- again ok. I like to tip more but I understand that's not what everyone does. My issue is I had way more than 18% in gratuity and fees listed on my receipt though. Now I'm not saying don't visit this place, just know you will have a nice experience that you will PAY for and wait for... only to be rushed out. read more

The decor is lovely as well as the staff and overall atmosphere. You have to scan a QR code for the menu and on the other side of the QR sign is a list advising you that they don't offer refunds and to make sure you read the menu properly before ordering. This place like many new breakfast/brunch places and way overpriced. Pancakes and French Toast with no sides is 16.00. Sides are about 5.00 for eggs, potatoes, bacon,etc. I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes and made sure to read the description as they suggested. Received 3 undercooked/ strange textured pancakes with a strawberry topping. Nothing like what the picture on the menu showed nor did it match the description. Not an ounce of cheesecake in sight. When I asked the sever she politely explained that they have a vanilla cream that they put on the pancakes and it's thin. She asked if I wanted more of the vanilla cream. I declined and asked "so there is no cheesecake in the cheesecake pancakes, even though it's in the description and on the picture?". She nervously smiled and said no and apologized. Very disappointed in this dish that was falsely advertised and had a horrible texture. We also ordered the Peach Cobbler French Toast (so much nutmeg made it hard to eat) and a breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, potatoes and a biscuit. The food was not worth what they are charging. The ambiance provided spacious seating for casual conversations and there are TVs that play sports near the bar. Each bite was delicious but the biscuits could have been a little bigger compared to similar breakfast spots. This does NOT take away from the delicious roasted potatoes, decorated Bloody Mary, and delicious croissant sandwich. Expect to pay on the higher end for drinks, but they will be hand crafted and very exquisite. read more
While in Atlanta for Thanksgiving, my sister recommended we have brunch here. Due of the high volume of customers, she made her reservations the day prior. Everything about the atmosphere, the furnishings, the design, and the music--a Drake-only playlist--wandered me when we got there. Regarding the cuisine, my sister had strawberry shortcake waffle popsicles, while I had a vegetable omelet with vegan sausage. While the strawberry shortcake popsicles are 9.5 on my scale, the omelet only manages a 5.5. I was blown away by the flavor of the waffle sans the toppings. Neither of us should have had the Alice in Wonderland drink; it was terrible. The syrup content was high. In sum, the atmosphere elevates the whole thing to a premium level. read more

I'm not knocking the food - the food is actually good and the portions are big. I will NEVER wait 1 hour* for food and I'd never recommend anyone to do that either. Our reservation was 3:45, we showed up early at 3:30. We weren't seated until 3:55. We saw how slow it looked turn around wise, so we ordered our food at 4:00 as soon as our waitress came. Our drinks took 20 mins, our food (all of it, including apps) took one hour. 30-40 mins to wait for food is already pushing it for me even for a busy place. Over an hour is truly beyond belief. As we were getting ready to walk out, they brought the food out. I will say that they were apologetic but it's inexcusable. If you are short staffed, or your staff isn't trained to handle a certain volume of orders - y'all shouldn't have opened or you shouldn't allow so many tables to be sat at once. There were plenty of waitstaff and bartenders - I don't know what is going on in the kitchen. If you're willing to wait that long for food then you'll be fine. I think it's wild for a place that requires a credit card for reservations and has a 2 hour time limit - y'all can't even bring the food out in an hour? Maybe if they're still here in 1 year, I'll try again and see if they've figured it out. read more

Yesssssssss ! Let's start off with the ambiance and decor and great music even on a Monday! Smooth R&B loud enough to still have a conversation.. service is on point. Drinks pretty and perfect - I ordered the Alice in wonderland. Very photo friendly ! Make your reservations for the weekend though I know this place gets packed. The lobster Mac and cheese and side of collards were good and the fish and grits were also great ! I will be back making a reservation now for the weekend. I want to lick my plate - lol - I already licked the sugar of the rim of my "Alice in wonderland" served in the cutest mushroom glass. read more
I went for brunch early in a Saturday (1030am) and we were given a table ASAP. The lemonades are tasty and sweet. The pancakes tasted freshly prepared. I also ordered a few alacarte items from the sides like the biscuit, bacon, potatoes and chicken sausage, grits, and was pleased with the portions. The grits are a bit in the peppery side but they were so creamy and beautifully made so it was easy to disregard. The strawberry waffles were great along with the service from our waiter Mandi. The food can take around 30 or so to arrive which I usually expect at brunch spots especially when they're busy. Definitely coming ready with an appetite next time. read more

Nice ambiance, and cool drinks both my sister and I had the catfish and grits. The grits were delicious but the cat fish had an aftertaste to me. It was a little too fishy. That's the best way I can explain it. The fried green tomatoes appetizer was good but barely enough for one person. Definitely not enough to be a shareable. We were seated fast. The service was a little slow at first but soon picked up. The atmosphere was typical of trendy restaurants these days with the grass wall and modern decor. I did like the look. I would come back again when I'm visiting Atlanta but this time to try the chicken and waffles. Last but not least the love potion drink was the absolute best part of the whole experience. I really liked this place. The catfish and grits were great and the chicken & waffle too! I try waffles everywhere I go and this is probably one of my favorite. Their syrup is good and the coffee was good (I got hazelnut cream and would try something different next time). The cream cooled off my coffee too much. The reservation ahead of time was perfect for getting a table and the server was nice. The booths have a ton of seating (could probably seat 6) but the tables are too small for 6 people. read more
We visited The Breakfast Bar on a weekday morning for breakfast. As first-time visitors, we didn't know quite what to expect. The restaurant is located in a strip mall area. Upon entering, we were met with the most beautiful decor. Our hostess was welcoming and seated us immediately. She asked if we'd like water--spring, sparkling, and tap. I asked for spring. The rest of our order included 1 coffee, 2 sides of grits (1 with cheese), bacon, a biscuit, and a waffle. The food arrived quickly. All in all, it was a good meal. When I realized the size of my coffee was rather large (which is a good thing), I told the waiter that I would not need the water again. She then informed me that unfortunately, once anything is delivered to the table, they can't take it back. Insert confusion...an unopened bottle of water that was just placed on the table can't be picked up and removed? When we received our check, I understood why. We were charged $6 for each bottle of spring water and $1 for a sprinkle of cheese on my husband's grits. For reference, a case of this same water costs $23 on Amazon. Our final total for the items listed above was over $40. As others have mentioned, we also had to inquire about the tip. Businesses have the right to charge what they'd like, but it's a great practice to inform customers of costs and policies, especially when they may be a little different from the norm. I'm not sure if I'd return based on that principle alone. read more

Let me start off by saying the server was great. It took an hour before I asked my server to cancel the rest of my order which was biscuit and gravy shown in the photo. He apologized and went to grab the check, but brought our order which 'had just gotten ready' in a Togo container and said to pay 50%. Being already late from my lunch break I paid to bring this mess back to my office. I won't and can't recommend this place. read more

The decor was cute. I love the brightness of the seating, the grass wall, and the chandelier's it felt like a Atlanta brunch in Duluth. Our waiter was Coco, it was her first day and she was nice, responsive, and checked on us frequently. The music was a little low and my food was good. I feel like a one time experience is good for me. I order the fish and grits and my friend ordered the chicken tenders and waffles. I also tried a couple of cocktails. Let me start by saying the food was amazing!! I had the fried chicken w/ greens, Mac & cheese, and yams. The chicken had the perfect crisp and flavor. The greens made me smile, the spicy kick gave it a A+ for me!! The Mac & cheese was the bomb!! Creamy & very flavorful! Yams was decent. The texture a bit different from what I'm use to but the flavor was there. It was over the top or too sweet. It was a good combo. My daughter had the strawberry cream pancakes. They came out w/ a nice presentation which added to her experience. She said it was really good. My sister ordered the blackened salmon, & let me tell you guys, it was good!! Cooked to perfection with a nice texture. She paired that w/ greens & grits. She loved both!! My friend ordered the same dish as me & she loved it. We also added on a s'mores waffle popcisle, AMAZING!! The waffle was sweet and it put me in the mindset of like cake on a stick w/ good toppings!! Service was good. Atmosphere was amazing! I'll start of by saying the music here is what I've been looking into a brunch spot. 90s&00s R&B. Ambience is great. Food was good. So many options. I'd go back to try their menu out for the other options. I had the chicken & waffle. The souther wings (honey hot) were also good. & drinks, I had their pretty piggy & light me up. The drinks are small & a big on the pricy side. The service was a bit slow also. It took some time for us to get our drinks. One thing I didn't like was the waiter didn't let us know an 18% tip is included on every tab. My friends & I had split tabs & left additionally 18%. I had to go back to their website to read about it. We didn't get an itemized receipt the waiter only read back what we all ordered. I would go back to try out more options. From this date, they have been opened 7 weeks. read more
