There is an outside space near their entrance that if the owner is able to, should create a waiting area but not the typical. Put some cute chairs and serve small d'oeuvres would put that spot above others. Seems like ATL has morphed into brunch, grass walls and wait times! This review is based on aesthetics wait time and food Unfortunately, this restaurant has no originality and looks like a copy and paste of every other black-owned breakfast restaurant. Wait times can be long so prepare. The menu is too long and it is playing a part in the quality of food. Maybe simplifying the menu can help with that. The menu also lacks creativity. As a woman that loves to brunch, I expected more from this new establishment's menu. The menu has no creativity at all. It's like whoever created the concept of this restaurant took all the ideas and replicated the menu of other successful black businesses like , Toast on Lenox, Breakfast Club, Breakfast at Barney's. The food isn't high quality and consistent compared to the others but it is in a big plaza with lots of parking compared to the others. I hope the owner reads this and makes the necessary changes to keep his business open it takes more than green walls and basic food. First off, maybe because we were one of the first few served but the fruity pebble popsicle waffles was stale. Our chicken was undercooked and had blood. Ordered the açaí. Bowl and did not receive a spoon. Could have just offered a refund on the stale popsicles or replaced the hard bread so that we can try it with their dip. There was gratuity included but we did not know and tipped an extra 18%on top of gratuity. The bread for the dip was hard and felt like plastic. The manager wasn't there but the manager did call us back only to offer complimentary drinks or appetizer next time. they could do better making up for horrible first time customers who wanted to support the restaurant. Only worthy for pictures of food for Instagram. Not to mention my car broke down in front of the store and the people at my table over heard the employees talking trash when I stepped outside. We waited more than an hour for one appetizer and an hour and half for our food. The food though was delicious and the ambiance was really cute. I am still giving it 4 stars because I think it is worth checking out because of the food and ambiance. Management needs to hire more cooks and also train their staff better on dining phases, preparing the table with appetizer plates and silver ware, serving drinks and plates based on seat number, refilling drinks, and clearing the table throughout the dining phases. I believe the staff gets an automatic gratuity of 18% so there is no excuse as to why the service is not running smoothly. People are dining IN to be served as it's part of the experience, so yes there is value in a waitress / drink runner / food runner placing the drink and food in front of the correct person instead of placing three drinks in front of one person and expecting them to hand it out to their fellow diners. Also the steak and egg meal should be plated differently, because the potatoes being placed at the bottom makes them too hot to enjoy. The staff should inform the guest that the meat will continue to cook on the sizzling plate as a guide to give proper suggestion to how the meat should be cook. I ordered medium, but I really should have ordered medium-rare. The potatoes should be served on the side. The eggs should be on the side too, or on top of the meat (which it is in the picture, but the steak was served on top of the eggs). Saw the breakfast bar on TikTok and knew I had to try it! The food is fresh to order and has an appealing presentation to see. Ordered the Southern Heat Wings tossed in Hot Honey and absolutely loved it! The service provided by the servers and everyone was lovely, it's nice, welcoming, and has a good ambiance. The hostess appeared from the back and look dead at me and did not acknowledge she would be with me. She acted as though I was not standing there waiting. I've been seeing everybody on Instagram talking about The Breakfast Bar so I decided to try it for myself. When I walked in the decor was absolutely beautiful & the staff were friendly. My waitress recommended I try the "yummy gummy" as my cocktail & it sure was yummy and refreshing! For an appetizer I ordered the seafood dip, very delicious. My entree was the star of the show, I ordered the sizzling steak skillet. The steak was tender, my eggs were fluffy, & my potatoes were perfectly seasoned. I frequent here often because it's the only thing that was decent in my area, but I will say that the more I have visited, the worse the food and service has gotten and I don't believe the owner or their leadership team is trying to fix it. I've complained to the owner and their leaders on different occasions to assist with possibly helping them improve the service; however, there is no empathy and a lack of care or concern for patrons. If the server messes up your order, there is no accountability or apology. It's more so of them taking the food away with when they were wrong because of not listening. Then they have an attitude and no matter what, you have to tip them because the gratuity is already added in the bill. As a result, I believe this is why there is a lack of empathy and care and concern. I will not be visiting again because I've complained in a polite manner and was promised that the staff will be coached so that they can improve. I haven't seen any type of development or concern that employees need to be trained on empathy. Nice establishment but I am BIG ON SERVICE!!!!! Service was the absolute worst! We were a table of 3, and it took over an hour to receive our food. The food was not delivered at the same time. Never should patrons receive their meals in 10 minute increments apart.... This is restaurant 101. Secondly, in order to receive a refill on our water, we had to wait until our food was delivered to receive attention from our waiter. He removed our current glasses from the table to refill the water. How would we know if we received our same glasses? We asked for the manager, we sent back a reply, no personal attention, that she would comp our table a discount. To our surprise an over $200 bill is reduced by $15, not withstanding the fact that an 18% gratuity is added and the question to submit an additional tip is asked when you pay your bill. The food was okay, but due to the customer service and the utter lack of professionalism I cannot recommend this restaurant. Lastly, the constant touching of private parts and hair without the wait staff washing their hands is a definite turn off. The aesthetic of the restaurant is nice, but the music is far too loud for you to have a conversation with your guests.
