4th of July, 2024, we had 34 people in our brunch party. The seating was ready 45 minutes before our reservation time. Mandy from the management team personally took care of us with her staff. Okay to start I'm glad this place isn't busy cause it gave me a chance to enjoy it without the wait and all that extraness. So I got the salmon with the collard greens and Mac and cheese. Ok but wasn't worth the wait. The food was good but not worth the wait. They specialize in cocktails and drinks. I'm came on two occasions, and both time the wait for food was 1 hr minimum. The priority is the bar drinks and the ambiance (which is for the young adult crowd, club hangover crowd). I like that they have an hour 1/2 dining time, but the food takes long (especially on weekends- maybe hire more cooks?). Despite the quality of the meal, the overall experience was marred by an unreasonably slow service. I found myself waiting for an extensive amount of time just to be acknowledged by a server, and it took far too long to receive basic items like silverware. Additionally, some items I ordered were never received, which really affected the flow of the experience. I ordered food to go, and I never received it. I had to ask for a refund after waiting almost 2 hours?? It's unfortunate because the restaurant clearly has potential, but the service and kitchen are glaring issues that needs attention. Just finished breakfast and I am thoroughly pleased! My party of 3 arrived at 11:15. We were seated right away by a very pleasant young lady. Our server, CoCo, was great! Our food came as ordered and it was hot! She was very accommodating with our requests. My first time trying blueberry waffles. Yummy! We arrived about 10 minutes prior to the scheduled reservation and we were greeted by the friendly Hostess and promptly seated in a nice booth. The decor is vibrant and just super cute. The host presented with a table for TWO... adding a third chair would have been a tight squeeze so we refused and ended up having to wait a few more minutes for a booth. There is no seating for guests waiting for a table. You must either stand outside or awkwardly in front of the door. The wait for food was about 45-50 minutes. Food was fine. Not terrible but also not the best I ever had. Our food and drinks were attacked by gnats flying all around. We each had to ask for a new drink and I had to request a new order of bacon. The honey cornbread was stiff. We were on our second round of drinks when we finally got our waters! The waitress barely came to check on us! It came time to check out and we paid our tabs. Gratuity is already added at 18% and 20% for parties of 6 or more. Unfortunately I did not think this waitress deserved 18% and I do not like the fact that gratuity is automatically added even when the service is not good! The waitress did not have a bad attitude, she just never really checked on us. We were there for a little over 2 hours and she came to the table 5 times not including bringing us the checks. First time at The Breakfast Bar which opened up just a month ago adding a new brunch spot to Gwinnett County which I'm so pleased about. The ambiance is real slick with white and silver finishes and orange seating. We started with mimosas I had the strawberry mimosa which could've used a little less strawberry purée but was nice and fresh. The fried green tomatoes were nice and had a little spice to it due to the sauce it came with. I would like the sauce to be on the side or a little less so that it didn't make the bottom of the tomato soggy. I had the lobster avocado toast which was good and seasoned well. I do wish it came with two as it was a little on the light side and left me wanting a little more, luckily I added a side of scrambled eggs. I would definitely go again as it was a lovely environment and the food was tasty and the service was attentive and excellent. I hope they keep this up as they get more popular. read more
