I stayed here again because a family Member paid for my stay. I wouldn't have come Here any other way. They offered. To make a long story somewhat shorter after staying here a 2nd time I do not want to come back. I thought they might've changed after 2 years. I was wrong. The rooms are really outdated unless you have a condo. People run up and down the hallways all night. Other guests are completely rude including one lady in the B building yelling at us for walking by "her" window. My room was very outdated. Looked like the 80s. It needs new paint, phone doesn't work. It it is not modern at all needs USB port chargers. The bathrooms are tiny. Walls are paper thin so you will hear everything. The only redeeming qualities are the pool and hot tub. I called today 8-7-21 to inquire about it I could Get some towels. Mine were dirty and used. They said no towel service today and I would have to walk to go get them. Everything is so far apart. The hotels themselves are on 24 acres of land. The receptionist was less than friendly. They do have rental bikes and DVDs to rent. My other issue is smoking. I get it that people smoke but it smells like marijuana everywhere. You can smell cigarettes cause people smoke on patios which shouldn't be allowed. They also are definitely not view rooms. You cannot see the ocean from any room here I have asked. It's almost a 10 minute walk to the beach . People play music very loud when quiet hours are 10-8. I also could not leave my door open for a breeze to the patio to cool off because of all the cigarettes smoke outside coming up.

I hate to book a place I haven't seen, but I couldn't imagine going to a town as small as Long Beach on a festival weekend without a rock solid reservation. Yelp is so helpful there. Two of the big selling points for me were the 26 acres and the prospect of a private beach. I love kids and dogs, but only my own. I did not have my dog with me and specificly requested a 'no dog' room. I didn't want a room that smelled of wet dog or sleep in a bed someone's dog had slept in. The reservation people were good with that. I don't recall our room number, it may have been 402 we had a ground floor 1 bedroom condo with full kitchen. Being the dutiful Yelper that I am you will see lots of photos. I would go here again in a heartbeat. I think the room was about $200 a night but with just a step out the back door we were under the stars and could listen to the frogs (we don't have many of those in LA, neither frogs nor stars). There was no drought, no road rage and no litter. There were hoses to clean your beach sand away, beach cruiser bicycles, and it was a lot like using a friend's condo. There were very few dogs there and very few children. The dogs we did see appeared to be clean and well groomed and there is a leash rule. It was not noisy where we were, Forth of July weekend or a time when more kids are present might be a different story. . Regarding the beach front, beach view, there are dunes between the property and the ocean so if you are ground floor you won't be seeing the ocean, we knew that but wanted ground floor. The beach, ocean was about a 15 minute walk and much of the path was asphalt. This is not easy walking distance to downtown Long Beach but that's OK. It was an easy ride on the beach cruiser. Fireplace was a nice touch, it wasn't until our second day we discovered the place had 3 thermostats, so I was a little cold the first day. the bed had a blanket and a comforter and two more comforters in the closet, about the caliber of what you might see at Target or Walmart but they kept us warm. Wi Fi and TV were fine.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spotless and the kitchen was well equipped. The kids enjoyed the new indoor pool and our dog loved running on the beach. We will return soon!

Everyone is helpful here. This is really a gem, first they take pets and I love bringing my dog to the beach. The rooms are big, great kitchenette and dining area, which gives it a family feel, a great hangout for family. The hotel is outdated but clean. Views are beautiful! Walking distance to The Cove,.. rain or shine we walked over had drinks and dinner and walked back. We only stayed one night, I plan to book a weekend so we can enjoy longer walks:)

Comfy

We have stayed here a few times and enjoy it. Clean and quite. Perfect location. Nice walk to the beach, not to far from beach driving entrance.

We were the FIRST of over 50 people on our rod run. After over 5 and a half hours later, we were finally able to get our room. Meanwhile EVERYONE else got their rooms immediately. Our room was not in my opinion worth the money!! The room smelled musty, had garbage on the floor, bathroom had not been cleaned, coffee on the bathroom counter, dirty sbower with pubic hair on toilet, counter and shower. Sticky substance on the comforter. No cups and enough sand on the balcony to build a sandcastle with old french fries as well.Go to Wyndan for just a few bucks more you will enjoy your visit to Longbeach

You're close to the ocean, surrounded by trees, and there's this constant sense of spaciousness that lets your mind open up. It creates the perfect conditions for artists to think, feel, and make work. What makes Arts Week truly special, though, is the people. The group of artists is diverse, thoughtful, and deeply engaged. You're in conversation all day long, whether that's over shared meals, spontaneous collaborations, or late night talks that somehow become the most meaningful part of the experience. It's rare to find a space where people show up this open and this willing to connect. The programming strikes a great balance. There's structure when you want it, like readings, performances, and workshops, but also plenty of unstructured time to follow your own creative instincts. There's also a real sense of care built into the week. The staff and organizers are thoughtful and attentive, and you can feel that they want everyone there to succeed!

We thought it looked like a fun place to stay considering we love all things vintage and staying in a vintage RV sounded like the kind of nostalgia we would appreciate. A few months pass and we decided to book a 3 night trip for our 12th wedding anniversary. We arrived on Saturday afternoon right at check in and we found the staff friendly and attentive. After check in we drove down to our camp site. They leave the doors unlocked after check out/"cleaning" so the key was sitting in the unit. This also means anyone can come into your unit before you even check in. The outside of the RV was, as expected, worn down but that's a part of the charm. Upon entering, we were hit with the smell of mildew/mold and a extremely warm trailer due to the heater being left on and it being late June. We turned off the heater and attempted to open up the windows, but alas they were'nt all fuctioning. Our 3 dogs couldnt even be in the unit without over heating so we set up their playpen outside. Half the flooring was either peeling up or gone all together. The walls had'nt been cleaned and had a film on them. The seating area did'nt fold down into additional bedding (another broken item), the toilet was dirty and still had urine on it and the bathroon walls were peeling. We weren't looking for a 5 star hotel but for the price we were paying per night we expected more. We settled in for the evening and tried to make the most of it and chalk it up to a new experience. The next day, after waking up and taking the dogs for a walk to the beach we decided to relax at the campsite and decided we could set up out tent (other camp sites had tents on them) to add additional living space. As we were lying out the tent in our area a woman approached us. She didn't introduce herself just started making comments about the tent, and the dogs, and the playpen. Again, no introduction, no pleasantries, just came in HOT. My husband tried to deescalate the conversation however the woman kept interrupting him and talking over him. He reached out his hand to introduce himself and thats when she finally paused and offered her name, Mary. She let us know if we wanted to put up a tent we would need to pay an additional $35.00. We explained to her we weren't expecting additional guests and that the tent was meerely for additional outdoor space. Again, she was coming in hot like we were trying to pull a fast one over on her. I explained that no where was I told tents were additional. I was not paying them any additional money due to the price we already paid and the comfort of the unit. Mary contiously spoke to my husband ignoring me all together. She was telling him what to do and how to do it and she came off extremely aggressive. We said we would speak to management and that's when Mary let us know she was the manager but was off duty so we could take it up with another manager. My husband is a POC and Mary presented as white and while the lodging advertised itself as diverse and inclusive we did not have that experience with Mary. My husband asked Mary for some space and it took asking several repeated times for her to finally leave. After she left, we decided this was not a place for us to stay. My husband started packing and I went to let reception know what had happened and that we were checking out. The staff at reception was very accommodating. I told them what had happened and they were confused as to why a tent would be such an issue with Mary. They tried offering additional things for us to stay and I refused. They asked if I wanted to speak to Mary again, and I said no. I did not want to speak to her ever again. The staff said they would talk it over with a manager but I let them know we were definitely leaving. We drove the 2 hours home. On our anniversary with cancelled dinner reservations and hurt in our hearts. Do better. Understand how you come across as a person of privilege when speaking down to a POC. I hope this is a learning experience for Mary. I checked my email today and she refunded our entire amount.

The property feels like a retreat with a lovely atmosphere that feels a world apart from Long Beach despite being so close in proximity to town. We didn't have time to make full use of the pool, sauna, or pickleball courts - but these amenities would be perfect for a rainy day at the coast and when we come back we'll make more time in our schedule to use them. Check-in/check-out was a breeze and staff was very pleasant. They let me borrow a lighter for a birthday cake which was much appreciated! The walk to the beach is very scenic and beautiful in itself. Highly recommend this resort!

Prior to this visit, the rooms were fairly basic, but very adequate. Today, we arrived to find a beautifully updated room, that feels much bigger and much cleaner than they previously were. We have new appliances, new countertop and backsplash, new floors, a larger couch, a huge king bed, a walk-in shower with a new vanity, and everything is just stunning. Very well done! From the bottom units, you have a small deck with a bench, and upper units have a balcony. All rooms overlook the dunes, and the higher ones can catch you a glimpse of the ocean. You spend the evening listening to the roar of the waves. It's so relaxing. You'll get a welcome pack for your mutt, and there's a lighthouse themed dog house in the parking lot that you can take pictures of your dog with. There's two TVs - you can stream from your device in the bedroom, or watch cable in the living room. You'll have a gas fireplace, a lounge chair, a couch that folds out into a bed with a nice, squishy mattress, and a two person dining table. The staff here have been here a long time, and it's always nice to see a familiar face when we arrive. Shout out to Kevin! Always friendly and helpful. It's about a five minute drive to downtown Long Beach, where you'll find a bakery, an arcade, and lots of shops and restaurants. Don't forget you can even drive on the beach! You'll love it here.

We got there about 25 minutes before check in which was no problem. The two ladies working there at the time were both very nice and accommodating. We got to our room and I loved it. The stained glass, antique furniture and fixtures were fascinating to look at. The grounds were very pretty, lots of beautiful plants in bloom. There was booklet in the room speaking of the history being it's the oldest consistantly running hotel in Washington state. It even went in depth about spirits that have some presence but sadly I did not see one. The bed was comfortable, the towels were soft and fresh and parking was a breeze. The reason I am giving 4/5 stars is because the lighting, although pretty..I just couldn't see! Putting my makeup on in the morning was a challenge. The walls are very thin which I understand, it's old! They provided ear plugs on the bedside tables but I can't sleep with those in my ears. Lastly, it took awhile to get used to the smell. Again it's old, it smelled old. But it doesn't have to? There are some sleek antique looking air fresheners out there in the world that could really help out a lot. All in all it was a nice place to stay. If we go back again, we would stay here.
