    They sell drinks in lobby
    Erica C.

Nice property with ample of parking and great location. Hotel restaurant attached but my experience, not worth it. Receptionist described the hotel as environment friendly. Close to the beach and walking trails. Lobby has a cafe and great drink selection of juice, soda and alcohol in the coolers. Hotel room 3/5- everything seemed clean at first but closer look the floor was dusty and filled with sand but due to the light color floor boards, so wear sandals or use the broom and dust pan provided in the room. There was no laundry bag or a hotel phone in the room so if you need anything or have any questions gotta head down to the front desk. There's also no central air and the room can get very warm and humid even with our heater off. During our 2 night stay we'd take the opportunity to leave our window cracked when we'd go out so the air can circulate. The mattress was bare-able and we even had conversations with other guests that shared they found the beds uncomfortable. The curtains were hard to open and close because they were broken. The room just felt empty and kinda sad. Pool 5/5- the spa and pool are in a separate building and they provide guests with robes and pool towel that's found in your room. Pool was nicely warm and steam barrels were the highlight of our stay. It was relaxing and provided a cozy ambiance during the winter.

$26 red pepper rigatoni, don't recommend

I gave this place a second chance but won't be back. Lesson learned. The fire alarm went off twice and scared the shit out of my kid. The restaurant was above our room and they banged around and made horrible noise until almost midnight. Then started again at 7am for their breakfast menu. The pool was cold which was the whole reason we come to Adrift. The restaurant food is over priced and weird. A kids grilled cheese was nothing like a kid would eat. Hard, thick bread. My red pepper rigatoni which was $26, tastes like noodles with salsa. I asked for room Service but had to go up and get it myself. See the picture for what a $26 meal at this restaurant gets you.

Like many other couples I've read reviews on, we chose this place because of it's STATED experiences. Distellery is 110% Beautiful for product. BUT ** ** ** Though you pay top$$ for the VIEW, the actual experience will just piss-U-Off. Floor above us was WOOD, people had a Dog and partied literally all night. REPORTED to Mgmt, and was told " This Stuff Happens " NO-ACTION-TAKEN. Come on people !! !! !!

Shower stall with what looks like bare concrete walls (it's not, but it looks like it)

Hmm...where to start... I've been to some pretty awful hotels in the past, and Adrift definitely ranks down there. Ambiance: I'm not sure what "theme" they're going for here. Unfinished building? Prison cell? Decor consisting only of dollar store rejects? Whatever they're going for, they do it really well (which is to say they're consistently bad). Upkeep: Not good. Very peculiar and inefficient room layout, particularly in the bathroom. The toilet is literally crammed so far into the side wall that using it is a challenge. The shower and bathroom walls look like they're bare concrete (they're not, but they sure look like it), and door frames are unfinished wood with big cuts removed to make room for light switches and such. Room lighting consisted of bare light bulbs, or wire cages over bulbs, for that incarceration chamber look. Being right on the beach, there is a broom and dustpan in each room, to enable patrons to sweep up the sand that will invariably get tracked into the room. Housekeeping: Terrible. I was putting on my shoes to head out the door when a knock and "housekeeping" was announced at my room. I shouted, "Sure, come on in" as I was hoping to get some fresh towels. Nobody ever came in, and nobody had been in my room by the time I got back. There was also a "housekeeping tip" envelope in my room, which seemed particularly tacky in light of that experience. Bed: More comfortable than I would have expected, and this was probably the best part of the room. The best part about Adrift as a whole is that it is literally right on the beach. Adrift seems to know that this captive audience will come regardless, and as such, doesn't see the need to make their accommodations at least a little nice. If I come back to Long Beach, I'll definitely try to find a different place to stay.

I stayed at this hotel and found it to be very nice overall, but I recommend avoiding some rooms on the 2nd floor. The lobby light shines brightly into the rooms all night, making sleep difficult (I'm writing this at 4:30 AM after giving up). Management should consider heavier drapes. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything needed, including a broom for beach sand. The coffee bar was a pleasant touch, and the hotel offers games, entertainment, and a pool with adults-only hours. It's steps from the beach and dog-friendly, which is a big plus. However, the hotel prominently displays LGBTQ and Black Lives Matter flags, which felt overwhelming for a vacation setting. I prefer a neutral environment and don't appreciate strong political or social statements during my stay. This hotel had a lot going for them but this impacted our experience, so I'm giving it 3 stars.

For being the price it is, I really expected more. When we entered, it is cutely decorated and looks clean. But when you walk around with no shoes your feet will literally turn brown, it's like nobody sweeps or mops? Secondly, the shower/bathtub is NASTY! I'm sure I would be able to see it much better but our bathroom lightbulb was so dim and had a bug in the light I decided I would rather wash my hair in the sink. Restaurant on the fourth floor of the west building (Pickled Fish) is pretty good, but could not enjoy ourselves due to the guests coming in, getting drunk, and everyone is being so loud and obnoxious and seems like the staff can't get a handle on the noise. Walls are so thin they provide earplugs! Great, right? No. Imagine being woken up at 6:00 AM to the sound of the person right above you literally stomping back and forth in their room. Brought our noise machine and even on max volume still can hear Bigfoot walking around above me. For the price I wish they could update or atleast improve some of their features or amenities.

Room was outdated and unsafe. If an inspector walked in there, it'd never pass inspection - see pics. Big single pain window with a nice view of the ocean, but it shook so bad in the wind, we thought it was going to break. Very expensive if you want to stay in a shack of a room.

What a pleasant experience! This neat and tidy hotel offers terrific bang for your buck. Staff were professional and friendly. Cute coffee and gift shop within the lobby. Amazing views of the ocean and easy access to the boardwalk. We also enjoyed their in-house bar and restaurant!

It creates the perfect conditions for artists to think, feel, and make work. What makes Arts Week truly special, though, is the people. The group of artists is diverse, thoughtful, and deeply engaged. You're in conversation all day long, whether that's over shared meals, spontaneous collaborations, or late night talks that somehow become the most meaningful part of the experience. It's rare to find a space where people show up this open and this willing to connect. The programming strikes a great balance. There's structure when you want it, like readings, performances, and workshops, but also plenty of unstructured time to follow your own creative instincts. There's also a real sense of care built into the week. The staff and organizers are thoughtful and attentive, and you can feel that they want everyone there to succeed!

We thought it looked like a fun place to stay considering we love all things vintage and staying in a vintage RV sounded like the kind of nostalgia we would appreciate. A few months pass and we decided to book a 3 night trip for our 12th wedding anniversary. We arrived on Saturday afternoon right at check in and we found the staff friendly and attentive. After check in we drove down to our camp site. They leave the doors unlocked after check out/"cleaning" so the key was sitting in the unit. This also means anyone can come into your unit before you even check in. The outside of the RV was, as expected, worn down but that's a part of the charm. Upon entering, we were hit with the smell of mildew/mold and a extremely warm trailer due to the heater being left on and it being late June. We turned off the heater and attempted to open up the windows, but alas they were'nt all fuctioning. Our 3 dogs couldnt even be in the unit without over heating so we set up their playpen outside. Half the flooring was either peeling up or gone all together. The walls had'nt been cleaned and had a film on them. The seating area did'nt fold down into additional bedding (another broken item), the toilet was dirty and still had urine on it and the bathroon walls were peeling. We weren't looking for a 5 star hotel but for the price we were paying per night we expected more. We settled in for the evening and tried to make the most of it and chalk it up to a new experience. The next day, after waking up and taking the dogs for a walk to the beach we decided to relax at the campsite and decided we could set up out tent (other camp sites had tents on them) to add additional living space. As we were lying out the tent in our area a woman approached us. She didn't introduce herself just started making comments about the tent, and the dogs, and the playpen. Again, no introduction, no pleasantries, just came in HOT. My husband tried to deescalate the conversation however the woman kept interrupting him and talking over him. He reached out his hand to introduce himself and thats when she finally paused and offered her name, Mary. She let us know if we wanted to put up a tent we would need to pay an additional $35.00. We explained to her we weren't expecting additional guests and that the tent was meerely for additional outdoor space. Again, she was coming in hot like we were trying to pull a fast one over on her. I explained that no where was I told tents were additional. I was not paying them any additional money due to the price we already paid and the comfort of the unit. Mary contiously spoke to my husband ignoring me all together. She was telling him what to do and how to do it and she came off extremely aggressive. We said we would speak to management and that's when Mary let us know she was the manager but was off duty so we could take it up with another manager. My husband is a POC and Mary presented as white and while the lodging advertised itself as diverse and inclusive we did not have that experience with Mary. My husband asked Mary for some space and it took asking several repeated times for her to finally leave. After she left, we decided this was not a place for us to stay. My husband started packing and I went to let reception know what had happened and that we were checking out. The staff at reception was very accommodating. I told them what had happened and they were confused as to why a tent would be such an issue with Mary. They tried offering additional things for us to stay and I refused. They asked if I wanted to speak to Mary again, and I said no. I did not want to speak to her ever again. The staff said they would talk it over with a manager but I let them know we were definitely leaving. We drove the 2 hours home. On our anniversary with cancelled dinner reservations and hurt in our hearts. Do better. Understand how you come across as a person of privilege when speaking down to a POC. I hope this is a learning experience for Mary. I checked my email today and she refunded our entire amount.
