The check in process was easy and it's a nice motel located next to a convenience store if you need to quickly grab something. The room was spacious and very clean. We both slept well with the comfortable mattresses. And the chairs at the table were perfect for us to sit for hours playing Skip-Bo. We stayed with our trailer in the RV park at the Mermaid inn. Wonderful experience! Staff helpful and friendly. It is small and quiet, with full hookup. They also have full bathrooms with showers. To top it off just a short walk to the mexican restaurant next door, with fantastic food but service a bit flakey. (Had to ask for silverware, water, napkins.) We will stay here again! read more

We can't rate the motel or rooms, as we reserved an RV spot only. But the facility looked clean and well kept, with the typical "funky" beach town feel. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The RV spot was no frills, but flat with full hook-ups and individual pump-out. Very quiet, for being close to the road. All very clean. Walking distance to coffee drive-thru, a small convenience store and the North Beach Tavern, which is worth a visit for pizza, live music and nice, outdoor seating. The heart of Long Beach is about a mile away. Walkable, with sidewalks all the say, but a quick drive from the Inn. We would use the RV spot again if in the area. read more

MY FAVORITE PLACE TO STAY Motels, inns, and hotels abound. Of all the myriad places I have stayed in over the years, the Mermaid Inn & RV Park in Long Beach, WA State, stands out prominently due to its excellence. Driving up to it, our attention was immediately drawn to its blue vivid color and the beautiful green and flowering plants in the front. In front of every unit, under the overhang, is a table with two chairs. Once inside, we found the room spacious with two very comfortable queen beds (two beds great for us due to my painful night cramps and my husband's sometimes poor sleep), and super-clean. After settling in, I discovered how much planning and thought had been put into the décor (including colors) of the unit. All items were pleasant to look at and placed strategically for maximum convenience. For instance, interesting wall pictures reflect the region; bathroom lights bright enough to allow for grooming of teeth and make-up; multiple lamps in the room fulfill one's needs; retractable clothes line and grab-bar in shower (the latter indispensable when one gets older or otherwise struggles with balance); easy-to-use heating system; and much more. Everything functioned perfectly. My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised and comfortable. I know that many of these items exist in a number of places, but Mermaid Inn had them all. No need to have a maintenance guy come and fix faucets, drains, etc. (which many of us have experienced). The owner Bill and his staff were superb. I have RARELY felt as welcome and contented in a motel or hotel. I recommend it highly and trust that you will enjoy the stay. I have learned the benefits of making reservations directly with the establishment; it lends itself to a more personal connection with its staff. We just stayed here this past weekend, we'd forgotten about this place we stayed here years ago. It's a hidden treasure and surprised why there aren't more reviews. Yes, it's not on the water, but it's close enough to walk to. The owners take pride in ownership, and you see that the minute you pull into the parking lot. The flower baskets and potted flowers are beautiful and a nice touch. There is an outdoor covered area to grill if you wish, although the rooms don't have a complete kitchen, a microwave and a small fridge. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. They provide you with coffee, tea, cocoa and granola bars. If you are looking for affordable rates and appreciate a clean and comfortable room, try the Mermaid Inn. There is also a large convenience store right next door. We will be back! read more

In April of 2023, I called and talked with Bill to confirm the spaces were big enough for my rig before I placed a reservation . He stated if I could find a space on their reservation system that I should grab it as they go fast. I set up a reservation on their website, complete with my credit card info, for an RV space in July of that same year. When I finished the reservation it said I would receive an email confirmation. I never received a confirmation email and my credit card was never charged. I sent them an email a few days later, complete with screen grab, to confirm my reservation and never received a response. I called them a few days after that again to confirm my reservation and Bill answered and said he would reach out to me to confirm once their internet was back on. Again, I never heard from them, so I sent them yet another email to cancel, asking for an acknowledgement and made reservations elsewhere. This little place is a great place to stay in a cute little town! Homey, comfortable, pet friendly and the personable service was well worth it! The room was extremely clean with a fridge and microwave. Each room has its own parking space, so you don't have to search for one. Beach access is only a few blocks south. If we had the time, we would have stayed an extra day just for the comfort and convenience to the beach. They've surrounded the porches and office with well-kept flowers and even have a great area for BBQing. There wasn't anyone else there who wasn't happy. read more

They were sooo friendly! It was Father's Day weekend and my aunts birthday and camping was a fail due to injury's. They were the only place I called that was nice on the phone! Luckily we got a room (we had been looking all day). I think it's a wife and husband that we talked with. Both were a breath of fresh air. So nice! Made great restaurant recommendations. Nice place, we rented a room and an rv space. The rooms were nice and big, great mattress, bedding was new and nice and the decor was really cute. We stayed here one night. The window to our room was open. When we went in we could see why it was open. The room smelled musky and moldy. The shower had mold around the shower pan. The coffee maker was in the bathroom along with the cups. Flushing the toilet even with the lid down isn't too sanitary. The maid had left an envelope for a tip. I left her $4.00 and a note telling her she needed to bleach the shower. The owner sent an email wanting to talk about a refund. After calling her back twice and sending her an email I have received no response. It really is a shame because it was a cute place. We won't ever go back because lack of response of the owner. People make mistakes but If you try to redeem your business people respond to your efforts. Guess it isn't that important to them. read more

Full gas barbecue and eating area if you please and a bunch of RV hook up spaces. The perfect place for a family reunion. The owners are friendly and on site. I rented a room for guests visiting from Germany for 10 days. The room was very nicely decorated as is the front of the hotel in a sea type decor. The service here was outstanding, staff checked at least twice daily to see if there was anything they could do to make their stay better. The room was immaculate and very well stocked. They even provided beach towels. Parking was directly in front of the room making it very conveniant with luggage. The owner was on site and happy to help my guests. The hotel is under new owners and they are very attentive to their guests. Id recommend this hotel as the best in Long Beach. read more

I was very impressed with the whole experience at the Mermaid Inn. Outstanding attention to detail, such as extra soft sheets, towels and even the toilet paper, and a basket of towels to use for clean ups (great especially when you have kids)! Very clean and in great repair. The owner was super nice, and helpful, even with helping me find horseback riding for the kids. Some of the photos online didn't do it justice.
