I must say, while I personally prefer the Westbank Expressway location for convenience but they close earlier now, however the new location is much bigger and absolutely beautiful! I've always had great experiences with The Rib Master, and the food has consistently been delicious. It has that authentic, home-cooked taste that keeps you coming back! Today, however, I decided to try ordering online for the first time to save some time. Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized that two of the items I ordered were missing their sauces, including the Honey Hot sauce that I paid an additional $3.99 for. I called the restaurant to request a refund of just $3.99 for the missing sauce, not the entire meal. Initially, I was told that a refund couldn't be processed, especially if I planned to eat the food, and that I would need to bring the food back. I found that response frustrating because I wasn't complaining about the food itself. I simply wanted to be refunded for something I paid for but didn't receive. After all, who wants to sit down to enjoy smoked ribs only to discover the sauce is missing? Thankfully, a few minutes later, the manager personally called me back to clarify the situation and address the miscommunication. I genuinely appreciated her taking the initiative to follow up, especially because I was pretty upset after the initial conversation. That callback made a difference. Overall, The Rib Master still gets my compliments when it comes to the quality and flavor of the food. The ribs are delicious, the sides are good, and everything has that comforting, homemade taste I enjoy. However, this experience has made me hesitant to use the online ordering service again. In the past, I've always ordered in person and haven't experienced these issues. I understand that mistakes happen, especially with a new location and staff, but I also believe that when customers pay for something they don't receive, resolving the issue should be simple and shouldn't require unnecessary back-and-forth. I'll definitely return for the food, but moving forward, I'll probably stick to ordering in person and checking my bags before leaving. Hopefully, the online ordering process and customer service communication will improve as the new location settles in.
