Brass Tap is such an awesome new spot that recently opened. We had amazing service from the moment we walked in, until the moment we left. Our waitress was just so, so kind. We of course, sat on the patio, since we had our pup with us...and our waitress gave her so much love. It was so sweet. She was super excited to talk all things "dog" in between grabbing our food and drinks. Their menu is extensive and everything is fantastic! They have an array of beers available, including their own Brass Tap Lager, which is so yum! The best part was, they had a doggy menu! The inside is a little small, but the patio more than makes up for it! It's huge! It is at the corner of 170 and Olive so it can get a little noisy. Hopefully over time, they'll add some trees or something on the patio to help drown out the noise. Either way though, we had a great visit and can't wait to go back! read more

Decided to try something new for dinner. Great location, right off Olive and 170 and easy to access. We came late night and there wasn't a lot of customers but a few tables inside and out taken. Resturant looks small on the outside but they actually have plenty of seating. We sat ourselves and staff came over right away with menus and to take our order. Very friendly and attentive staff. I can't recall the bartenders name that served us but he was really nice. I started with a white sangria which was good but I couldn't taste any wine. More like juice. Loaded menu with different options for everyone to enjoy. They also have a nice happy hour and a late night happy hour menu (each menu served during different times). We ordered food and it came out within a decent time. I enjoyed my buffalo chicken sliders and fries. My hubby did not care for his chicken sandwich. He said it looked nothing like the menu and missing the white sauce/cream like the picture. He also felt the fries could be a bit more crispy. While I did enjoy the fries, 1 minute longer would've made the fries even better. Maybe if we return, we should ask for crispy fries. I went there recently for a lunch and a drink with my wife. First time going. The crowd was light, and they had a bunch of screens to watch sports. I ordered a beer (they're house lager) and my wife ordered a cocktail. The waiter was extremely nice and patient while navigating through the menu. I was impressed on my first visit. The space was smaller then I had anticipated, but I liked intimate feel. I also liked that it wasn't overly decorated as a sports bar. The decor had a minimalist feel. I'll give you a heads up, they have a fantastic lunch deal for only $11. My friend enjoyed a All-American Cheeseburger with Crinkle Fries. She ordered it, Medium Rare and they nailed it. I wish I had taken a pic, because it truly was perfect. My lunch was equally as good. I ordered Traditional Wings with a Dry Rub of Bourbon Brown Sugar. It was 3 flats and 3 drums. I like it when are served in equal portions. They also came with crinkle fries. I wanted an order of onion rings too, but they were not made in house. I'm not a fan of onion rings that are premade and dumped from a bag. Pre-meal cocktails were a Texas Mule for me. It was a basic mule made with Tito's vodka. Refreshing and good presentation. My day drinking friend enjoyed, Sunset Bloom Seltzer. She's a fan of Prosecco, so it was perfect for her. After lunch, we both enjoyed one of our favorites, an Espresso Martinis. The service was super friendly and the staff worked as a team. When our server wasn't available to deliver our food, one of her co-workers made sure it got to our table on time. I took my mom for lunch. The food was very good. We ordered the cod and chicken tacos, crispy Brussels sprouts and boom boom shrimp. I had a golden truth that was on tap. You seat yourself there is no hostess. There are high top table and a few low tops that seat 2-6. There is no shortage of TVs to watch your favorite team. What an awesome addition to the area! This sports forward restaurant has a huge offering of beers on tap, full bar and extensive food menu... something for everyone! The space is brightly lit and I especially appreciated the nicely padded seats that provided comfort. Everything came out super fast! Started with a Spiced Peach Shot then Smoked Old Fashioned then Espresso Martini. For the food, Side Salad (huge by the way), Loaded Fries and Side Roasted Cauliflower. I came here for a late lunch because I had read good things about this place and wanted to check it out. I decided to sit at the bar where I was greeted by multiple staff members. Raj, my server, immediately came and gave me water and menus. Everything looked so good, but I had a hankering for a cheeseburger. I decided to get it plain and get Brussel sprouts as my side. Drink wise, I went with the strawberry basil mule. There were a decent amount of people there (mainly bigger tables), but most if not all already had either their food or drinks. Thankfully, it was a short wait for me until my food arrived. I dug until the sprouts first and was beyond impressed. They were crispy, full of flavor, and tasted exactly how they're described in the menu (which is always a plus). The cheeseburger was perfect. Everything was spot on from the brioche bun to the actual sandwich and it was nice not to eat a charred burger for a change. My drink ended up being just what I needed. It had just the right amount of sweetness with the strawberry but not too much to where it made the drink unbearable. Additionally, I'll drink a 170 cal drink any day! Towards the end, Raj asked me if I was into beer and I explained I was working on it. He let me sample a few based of what I've had before. He was incredibly friendly, personable, and made great conversation while settling my bill. Aside from the great tasting food, I really enjoyed the chill, laid back atmosphere. I came here for a nightcap and it did not disappoint. I ordered a draft cider flight and I must say it was delicious and sweet. It consisted of angry orchard original, home peach, rubous and blue moon. Prices are reasonable. I hate I ate because the food coming out looked delicious, hot and fresh. This place is a vibe. I walked in and was impressed. The have the biggest TV plus other large screen TVs. It was well lit. It has a full bar. The server came to my table. She gave me a menu and a drink menu. She brought some water to the tabke. She came back to get the drink order. I decided to stick with just water. She took the order. I got the traditional wings. I tried the dry rub brown sugar bourbon. I also tried the Asian Chili Crisp. I added the Crispy Brussels Sprouts for an appetizer. For my entree I tried the AsianBBQ Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The Brussels Sprouts were okay. The sauce on it was good. But I won't get them again. The brown sugar bourbon wing was swerr. The texture was crispy. It was good but not for me. The Asain chilli crisp was delicious. They were crispy and sweet. The Asian BBQ chicken sandwich was very good. It was sweet and crispy. Then the heat fr9m the jalapeños got me. My wife and I 1st time for lunch. Open area but kind of loud. Most seating is high-tables. We decided to have a "Tap Salad " with ranch dressing on side and 10 chicken bone-in wings (naked) with sauces on side. A Coke and ice tea. The salad was fresh and just as shown on menu. The wings were fresh and hot out of fryer. Service was good. Saw a large assortment of beers. It's a nice new spacious place. No complaints except the one sauce for wings was kind of real rear thick bbq sauce, and other hot chili oil seeds at bottom (extra charge .50 & felt like nickel and diming since already paying 10 wings for $20 and charging for small plastic cup to dip); nothing special for added flavor. The Brass Tap is a new spot located on Olive Rd in Olivette, I accompanied a friend who spotted it just by riding down Olive Rd and I am glad that I did, we had eaten before we got there but I wished that I had not, the food being brought to some of the surrounding tables looked and smelled delicious, so I ordered a raspberry lemon drop that was so yummy I drank it in about 3 swallows. The service I have zero complaints, its a seat yourself place and once we sat a waitress came to is promptly with drink and food menus. It puts me in the mind of a sports bar with TVs all over the restaurant with sports games on the Tvs. I already know that I am going back to try 1 or 3 items off of the menu. read more

Happy Hour at The Brass Tap is already shaping up to be a new go-to, especially for an after-work meet up. The space is brand new and buzzing, which made the energy fun but did mean we had to wait a little bit for an open table. (It's seat yourself) Once we snagged a spot, though, it was smooth sailing with drinks, bites, and lots of catching up. Their Happy Hour from 3-6 Monday through Thursday is seriously delicious and makes trying a few things feel like a steal. The menu has something for everyone, and the drink selection is impressive without feeling overwhelming. It's the kind of place you can pop into casually but still feel like you found a cool new spot. We're giving it a solid 4/5 for now just because of the crowd/wait time, but that's the price of being new and popular!! We went on opening day. (They had apparently soft opened for the previous two days.) They were understandably still working out some kinks. (Item was left off our order, drink wasn't brought until server was reminded, food didn't come out together.) The manager stopped by to ask how our meal was going. We mentioned the glitches but to be honest I don't really think he cared. He certainly never checked back with us. I'm a big believer that you learn more from hearing people's concerns than their praises. My sense was that he was looking for acclamation not opportunities to improve. Now for the why we were there part of this review and while we will be back! The beer selection is amazing. I was blown away when I saw a personal favorite that is very difficult to get. (Bells HopSlam) was available. I have never seen it on tap anywhere. The food was great and between four of us we sampled several items. Cheese curd appetizers were excellent. Wings,ditto. Breaded shrimp was excellent. Grilled shrimp the same. Wings were also great, meaty and tasty. I expect this rating to improve to a 5 when we return. The place is a sports bar and it has a patio. Place and bathroom was clean. They have vegetarian/vegan option(s) and it's actually yummy!! We got the impossible meat tacos and it was 10/10. We had to make some modifications but they were very accommodating. The real star of the show is our server Ms. Nikki She remembered us and our order from the first time we were here 2 weeks ago and she made sure our order came our right and continuously checked in on us. Drove by this place and realized they had just opened and we are always up for trying new places so stopped in for an early dinner/happy hour. We got in early & it was seat yourself so we grabbed a table by the window. Even though they're tinted, they are floor to ceiling so the sun was blinding and I can imagine in the winter, those tables could be pretty chilly & in the summertime pretty warm. With exposed ceilings and concrete floors the place can get pretty noisy. Lots of great sports on TVs all around , including one huge wall. I'm surprised how small the place is ,but they have a really nice size outdoor patio that was in the process of being set up. Except for a few regular tables in front of the large wall TV, the rest of the tables are tall round bar tops. And very tall ones at that. I am 4'11 & the chair was fine but the table top was incredibly tall, chest level, a bit uncomfortable to eat from. Even my friend who is 6' tall commented on the extreme height of the table. The staff was super friendly and helpful and fun, they made it an enjoyable experience. I was impressed with the 50+ beers on tap, something for everyone. But I was a bit disappointed that my Modern disco punch sour was a 12 ounce pour; while most beers are usually 16 ounces. And I've had this beer at other places and it was always served as a 16 ounce. I like their food menu selections, however I was disappointed with their happy hour pricing, not much of a discount. I ordered the fish tacos and they were excellent, stuffed with tons of fish & a choice of flour corn tortillas, very filling. Food pricing is decent. Had a great meal with the family and we were able to sample a couple beers from the huge tap list. Hot honey pizza was excellent as was the Asian BBQ chicken sandwich. Kids had a burger, chicken strips and a cheese pizza and were really happy with their meals. Would be great if they could add a dedicated kids menu but ours are basically old enough to eat a full adult meal on their own so not a huge deal. I've been waitin' for TBT to open since the moment I've heard about it. I made sure I was at the door by 11:00am today (opening day), and, let me tell ya, takin' the day off from work was totally worth it to come here. I got my laptop out and I'm churnin' through tasks with good vibes all around. The Boom Boom Shrimp and the White Caprese Pizza are phenomenal. It's always such a good feeling when a chain restaurant has food that tastes as delicious and as personal as a mom-and-pop shop. Not to mention the copious amount of beverage options. Ion even drink, but that wasn't an issue. They got so many non-alcoholic options that'll keep bringin' me back week after week to try it all. And, let's not forget about the staff! The staff here are so kind and attentive and jolly and inviting and I could keep going, but this review is already kinda lengthy. Hahaha! The free wi-fi here is a plus. Whether you wanna study, go on a date, have a work lunch, take out the family, hangout with friends, watch some sports, or simply have some of the best food or drinks you'd have at a place like this, TBT is the place to be!
