At the Brass Fork, order the Prime Rib and you cant go wrong. I usually have green beans and a loaded baked potato. Mashed potatoes is an option, but is instant. Fries on any dish here are also just so-so. I feel that the brocolli is always underdone but maybe if you enjoy crunchy broccoli, go for it. The prime rib king cut is an inch and a half thick, satisfynig piece of steak. Order straght horseradish on the side if you like it with beef. Go before 7 to make certain prime rib is still available, especially during the week. Dont have the burger, dont have the NY Steak, trust me the Prime Rib is the best at a reasonable price. For breakfast get the steel cut oat meal, (big bowl), and the fruit plate. Dont get the American breakfast, (nothing patriotic about dense flapjacks), and also skip the Avacado Toast, (this kitchen lacks the finesse for a dish like this). The fruit plate is a large plate enough to share. You can definitely order wrong at the Brass Fork so take my advice, i eat there at least 6 times per year when I visit Las Vegas. So we were hungry between the lunch and dinner hour and we ruled out the food court, Stallones and Leticia's and oyster bar (although that's where I would have wanted to go) but my dining partner had a decent comp for the brass fork. We were seated right away, the place was moderately busy but no crowds. Juan was our server and he did a great job, engaging, professional and quickly responsive when we needed something and closing our meal out. My dining partner wanted the prime rib, but it was too early and it was not available. I was in a burger mood so I had the double cheeseburger with fries. The food came out within ten minutes. My dining partner said the turkey was a bit dry (as white meat always is) an asked for a side of gravy which Juan brought right over. I chose the double cheeseburger two patties with cheese and a nice slice of tomato and raw red onion with their version of the secret sauce. Juan asked how I wanted it cooked so I got two medium patties as ordered. By the looks, it looked like maybe an 6-8 oz. Amount of beef. The roll was plane Jane, but that was fine. Served with a handful of nice crispy fries and a ramekin of pickle slices and another of ketchup. The burger hit the spot and the fries were decent. Saul has been our server the last few times and he is such a nice hard working guy who is friendly and excellent as a server and a human being. He gets our order right every time and goes above and beyond. No matter what we have had, the club is the best, the chicken parm is good, the Vegas Cheesesteak is ok, I need to get different cheese, I'm not a fan of the cheese sauce they put on it, the Salisbury steak is good, the ham steak and eggs is awesome.... My Mom has become a huge fan of Lucky Penny as I took her to Red Rock and GVR locations. I told her that The Brass Fork is the same thing, just a different location and name, so she was on board. We came in and were seated immediately. Our server and busser were super friendly and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the Vegas Cheesesteak and it was amazing! I had my Mom try a bite as she had tried it at Lucky Penny at GVR and she said it was on par. Her grilled cheese sandwich with soup was amazing as well. The overall experience from the employees and the food was absolutely amazing. I had eaten here once before YEARS ago with friends, and it was great then as well. My only complaint is where we were seated. It felt like we were out in the open and not reserved in which I like to be when dining with Mom, because I like being able to talk to her and spend quality time. I wish they would have sat us in a booth, but understand why they didn't as my Mom was in a wheelchair, but was more than able to stand up from and sit in a booth. At the end of the day? Kudos! I REALLY should know better! Hubby and I made plans to go to Santa Fe casino for 11:00 pm bingo. We haven't played there for awhile so we were looking forward to Bingo and then late night breakfast at the Brass Fork restaurant. The restaurant was advertising some really great looking breakfast specials and the prices were great. I've been to this restaurant more times than I would like to admit. The reason I say this is because after many years of eating here occasionally the service is ALWAYS poor! It was after 1:00 am and the breakfast specials are advertised from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am. We headed over to the restaurant and there was NO ONE in front of us in line. As soon as I moved up to the hostess podium the host (male) went over and started to check out a couple who had just finished their meal. The host looked over at me and said I'll be right with you. I acknowledged politely. Well OF COURSE there were issues with the couple checking out, the host appeared to be all STRESSED OUT running back and forth to the back area. Meanwhile we are STILL waiting and now there are a few people in line behind us. I would like to include there was an older Black man dressed like a manager who clearly saw us standing in line, but thought it was MORE important to start wiping down the counter than helping seat us! I'm sure I was looking irritated and frustrated at this point. Then, a nice lady came over and seated us - keep in mind the host was STILL trying to check the same people out! So we get seated and the lady who seated us took our drink order and said our server would be right with us. Okay ... so we wait and wait. In the meantime the people who were behind us in line get seated somewhat close to us. When the server FINALLY comes over she goes to the couple who were behind us in line and seated after us! I made eye contact with the STRESSED OUT host and told him he knew we were there first - he looks at me with a dumb look on his face and turns around and puts his hands up in the air!! At this point I'm almost ready to get up and leave but I really wanted the biscuits and gravy special I had been looking forward to. Of course the couple the server was waiting on had questions after questions and the server took her time answering them. The couple she waited on ALSO KNEW we were there before them. So when the server FINALLY got to us I told her "Not that it matters at this point but we were here first." She then gets DEFENSIVE right off the bat, saying so and so told her to go to the other couple first. I told her I just wanted to make her aware of the situation and once again she couldn't WAIT to blame it on someone else and say she was busy making toast for other orders. Whatever! So when I order my food she says to me THE CUSTOMER - "so you're mad at me now"? I couldn't believe it! We had a few more words and she had to get back to her toast making. She asked for my boarding pass and then snatched it forcibly from my hand. She had a bit of a tude from that point on. Her name was Rebecca! Do I really need to deal with this?! I think she realized later she was out of line and tried to be a little nicer; still blaming issues on someone else; - TOO LATE! It's Father's Day but we did get seated right away, but we sat for a good 7 mins before the server got to us, we had to asked busser to get our drinks since we didn't have any idea how much longer the server would be. Managers are up at hostess stand not really helping just talking since we've been here, server indicated she was swamped due to so many assigned tables , so either not enough personnel scheduled or callouts! Either way manager/hostess should know not to overwhelm the servers because it does result in poor customer service! Food came out in a timely manner, burger special was great ( need a players card for discount). The Phillies steak egg rolls special with a queso dip on the side. They were pretty good the queso dip seemed a little burnt or it's sat too long. We had cake from the front display, which was absolutely wonderful, great flavor, cream cheese frosting, very moist cake. Waited quite a while for the waitress to return with a check end up having to ask the manager to get the check. You honestly cant beat the $5.99 cheeseburger special and french fries (only need to get the players card) Also, you have to try the $2.99 shrimp cocktail it's such a steal Usually there is no wait to get seated, and even when they look a little busy, the service is super quick. Came here after a late movie at Santa Fe Station, and this is a standard casino coffee shop. It's open 24/7 which is so nice since so many properties have started closing their coffee shops and veered away from the open 'round the clock model that Vegas was once so famous for. We were seated quickly but the place was bustling. Take note that they have amazing new graveyard specials that start at 11 pm, and the place fills up QUICKLY. On the weekends, you can expect hour-long waits to get the deals. Our server came over quickly and seemed really on the ball. He took our order quickly and was very professional. Since we had a comp, we ordered a quesadilla appetizer, chicken noodle soup, a sandwich, and the chicken alfredo pasta. The quesadilla was fine, but overpriced. It looked and tasted like something I could've made at home. I would skip this. The side salad was a lot better, a decent size and the ingredients were fresh. My chicken noodle soup looked like it had been made with beef broth, which freaked me out since I don't eat red meat. I just left it and had my hubby eat it. This was a big disappointment for me. Hubby said the chicken wings were really tasty, and he even ate the left over the next day (which he never does). My pasta dish was good, but definitely oversauced. Like, so much sauce that it ruined the pasta. The chicken was high quality and cooked perfectly, but it wasn't seasoned at all. I also ate half of this left over and it was better left over because I could drain off a lot of the sauce. What let me down the most about Brass Fork is the service. It started out great, but then got TERRIBLE. We both had water to drink, and we never had our glasses refilled, not once. I left thirsty. And we had to wait almost 20 minutes -- yes, TWENTY minutes -- for our server to bring a check. Hubby finally just went up to the counter to wait in the huge line to get a check so we could pay. I eventually was able to pay, so he got out of line and at that point, the manager screamed at us "have you paid?!!" Like, dude, I am NOT walking out on the check, it's your crappy server who never came back to check on us. I didn't like him assuming we were leaving without paying. Like, who DOES that anyway? I will likely eat here again especially with a comp because you can't beat a free meal. But I'll ask for an extra glass of water as well as my check as soon as my meal arrives next time. Always a great place to grab a bite anytime of the day. There's something for everyone on the menu. Myles and Juan our servers were EXCELLENT! We met with my cousin and her husband for dinner while they were visiting from out of town. She wanted breakfast which you can get 24/7. I'm a low carb eater which can be challenging but I made it happen. I ordered a double burger with no bun or fries. I asked for a bed of lettuce so I could cut up the patties and make a cheeseburger salad. Myles was so accommodating and not irritated with my request. She didn't bat an eye when I asked for my crazy deconstructed burger. The guys both got chicken fried steak which were HUGE! I failed to get a pic but their food looked delicious. I was staying at Santa Fe Station and decided to eat dinner downstairs. I was seated quickly as it wasn't busy and a few minutes later my order was taken by Myles. I decided on a starter and an entree. Both items came out at the same time. I ordered the Calamari Fries and Chicken Parmesan. Calamari Fries were excellent. Calamari were soft, very flavorful and the sauce with it enhanced the taste. Chicken Parmesan was very filling and quite good. It wasn't crowded around 7PM on a Thursday night which was nice. Myles came over often to check if everything was good and water refills were frequent. Myles was kind and attentive. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back. Prices may look high but you sure get a lot of food for those prices. I even noticed that with what others around me ordered. Came in for their 24/7 special - cheeseburger & fries for $5.99! Ordered mine with all the fixins - lettuce, tomato, pickle, red onion...and extra pickle! Came with a side of ketchup & ranch. Pretty basic burger with cheese, but solid! Burger cooked medium, wasn't dry but a bit light on the seasoning. Nice slice of cheddar, fresh veggies. And the bun was put on the grill for some texture, nice touch! Fries were warm and crispy. Nothing out of the ordinary, but a stellar deal for only $5.99! I would eat this anytime of day, 2 PM or 2 AM! Only note on this special is that it's dine-in only, and you have to have a Station Casino player's card to redeem this deal. Easy enough since you can always get a player's card FREE! Excellent deal, will probably be back when I want a cheap, good combo meal...or when I lose all my money on slots! HA! read more

After a long hiatus we decided to try the Brass Fork again. Needless to say it was just as disappointing!! My boys ordered the 3 way breakfast and we shortened on their eggs. The menu calls for 3 eggs, 3 pancakes, and 3 bacon strips or sausage. Well they were only served 2 eggs on their meal. We would have notified our server but after he brought our plates he ghosted us for the remainder of our meal. He only returned to our table at the end of the meal to bring the check. It was at that time did he offer to refill our drinks. Not great timing since we were done eating and wanted to just pay and leave. Since we frequent Santa Fe Casino we often eat at Brass Fork but next time we will notify our server of any shortages before he disappears on us. For what they have to offer, the prices on most items seemed a little high to me. However, they were offering a cheeseburger special for only $5.99 which turned out to be quite nice. It's hard to believe how absolutely awful this place is. I'd eaten there a few times before and it had never been a good experience. The only reason I returned was because we met friends for breakfast and they picked this place. It'd been a while since I'd eaten there so I was hoping things had improved. They didn't. They may have even gotten worse. If I MUST pick a positive the only thing I can say is the food came pretty quickly. (But as tasteless as it was, I'm not surprised.) We waited 15 minutes for someone to bring us coffee. (It was 10 am and no, the place wasn't crowded) We politely asked a bus person for some coffee but he grunted something and kept walking. It was the waiter who brought us the coffee sometime later. The service was not good. We had to ask for refills. The ice water was clearly from the tap. My girlfriend never got her orange juice until she was practically done eating. One of the people we went with asked for Tabasco sauce and waited a good 5+ minutes. I ordered eggs, sausage links, toast and hash browns. Pretty difficult to screw that up but sure enough, they found a way. The eggs were completely tasteless. I've gotten better hash browns at Jack in the Box. The sausage links didn't appear fully cooked. The bread tasted like cardboard. I even put jelly on the bread (something I never do hoping to give it SOME taste. It didn't help.) If I would've been blindfolded and asked me what I was eating, I wouldn't have been able to answer. Even the coffee sucked. How this place stays in business is beyond me. How this place has anything besides 1-star is also beyond me. Do yourself a favor: if you are even considering coming here. This restaurant is located inside the Santa Fe Hotel & Casino. I ordered the Chilaquiles with chicken for breakfast. My server did warn me that although it wasn't an authentic Mexican chilaquiles it still packed a lot of flavor and she was right! It was really good. The service was quick and the staff was kind. The vibe was cool since I sat out in the casino area and enjoyed the music. This may be the only 24/7 restaurant in the hotel so you can get breakfast/lunch or dinner at any time. Turns out she didn't know they had turkey patties. When it came out the burger only had one patty when I asked why she said the beef patties are thinner so I only get one. No where was that notes. We also got a bbq regular burger and the patties seem to be the same size. I also order the calamari fries as an appetizer and she forgot about it. Didn't come out until after the burgers because I asked how long it would be. Also they charged $2 for peppers on one burger and $2.50 on the other. Not sure what the difference is. read more
