Nice cafe with a variety to choose from for food, drinks and sweets. Good service albeit slow, probably due to the volume of orders coming in. The black sugar creme latte was yummy. I was on the hunt for mochi donuts and found this place. Unfortunately they no longer sell them but have layered donuts and brioche style donuts. Ihe inside is small and cute wit a fee tables and bar. It would be a nice quiet place to study. The service was decent. Started our super friendly and then kind of stopped smiling after the order and didnt say thank you after we paid. We ordered the banana toffee layered donut, which honestly was our favorite. It was light, airy, had a perfect little crunch and was not overally banana flavored. We also got the coffee toffee brioche and Ube cream brioche. Both were light and airy. The coffee toffee one was good but the coffee was kind of overpowering so you really couldn't taste the toffee. The Ube was our second favorite as the Ube center was light ans creamy. They do offer food, coffee, smoothies, and teas but since I was really craving a mochi style donuts we didnt try anytbing else. Would I go back...maybe because the donuts are decent. I've been to Aware Coffee twice now and overall it's been a solid experience. The coffee is decent and consistent, and the matcha was good too...smooth and not overly sweet. We also tried their mocha donuts and those were definitely a highlight. Soft, fresh, and flavorful without being too heavy. The vibe inside is really nice...clean, modern, and a good spot to sit and chat or get a little work done. Had a meeting here and this was a perfect place to talk about business. Staff was friendly both times and the service was quick. My only hesitation is the pricing. It felt a bit on the expensive side for what we ordered, especially for the mochi donuts. Not outrageous coffee prices, but definitely something you notice. That said, the quality is there, and I'd still come back when I'm in the mood for a treat. I had just gotten my nails done and was going to run to that other coffee place and remembered Aware Coffee was just across the street so I headed over there. I'd never been there before so I was happy to try some place new. I walked in and there was surprised at how busy it was! Almost all of the tables had people sitting at them, I live to see that at small businesses! I waited my turn and when I got to order I wasn't sure what to have, a latte was my plan but bourbon vanilla or tiramisu? I told the barista my dilemma and she told me you can have both, so that's what I did. I'm not big on over sweet coffee so we did I pump of the bourbon vanilla with a tiramisu top- it was perfect! Someone gave me half of their 4-pack of matcha cookies and I fell in love it was soooo good. I had to know where they came from and that's how I discovered Aware. I finally visited here myself. Nice and clean inside, simple, modern and bright. Staff members were helpful and guided me as I had a hard time deciding what to Fe as my drink. I got the iced honey lavender signature latte - I liked the strong, bold coffee flavor but wasn't a fan of the lavender even though I normally like lavender. The matcha cookies were 10/10 of course. I was craving Matcha, and I normally go to another coffee shop, but I near this place, and decide to stop in. Nothing fancy about this place but it's super simple and clean. It seems like a lot of people come here and do their work. Lots of lighting, very open space. I was pleasantly surprised with this delicious Matcha I got from there. The latte was alright - it had coconut milk, condensed milk and some other flavors too. The espresso itself was great I think I was just not a huge fan of the flavor combo but would definitely come back to try some other lattes since the coffee itself was great! The last time I ordered a matcha--it was okay, not the best--and after reading some mixed reviews, I wasn't sure about returning. I was in town and decided to check out this coffee spot, especially given its stellar reviews. There's a parking lot out front with plenty of spots. Inside, it's fairly spacious with plenty of seating. I was curious about the berry matcha or their other lattes but the barista said it's very sweet which made me scared to try it and steered me away. I asked about the green eye and if it's good, she said it's matcha with a couple shots of espresso in it. She recommended that one - she wasn't super friendly btw. It sounded unique so I decided to try it. My bf got the mint mojito latte. I should have said something and had them remake my drink - which I admit is totally my fault - but I really didn't love the drink. It wasn't sweet at all and was actually quite bitter. I couldn't finish it. My bf's mint mojito tasted better so I had some of his, but it also wasn't incredible. I wish I ended up just getting the berry matcha or another one of their drinks. Really modern and striking shop - the heavy concrete gives this place a very cool feel. The employees are extremely kind and knowledgeable, and all the pastries are made in house and look delicious. We've given Aware a couple shots since we really wanted to like it. Super minimal inside and good amount of seating. Have tried their matcha latte and recently, their ube matcha latte. Consistently, this place has one of the worst matchas we've had. It is gritty, somehow tasteless yet savory. Could not taste a single drop of ube. Have tried their vanilla and cookie butter latte and found them bland and yet couldn't taste the coffee. Tried the banana misu latte this time around and once again, couldn't taste the coffee. I've been to all the Aware locations across the valley, and this one is by far my favorite! Everytime I'm around the Centennial area and need a pick me up I always try to stop by Aware! Staff is so friendly, menu is simple but their seasonal/limited lattes are always a hit! I'm especially loving their Valencia Orange latte made with their bourbon vanilla. Their espresso is always pretty consistent, and I am glad that their standard size is a 16oz rather than a 12oz. I didn't have a great visit but some of it may have been influenced by the crowded weekend morning. The line was going out the door, but people weren't trying to make room for people to come in so even after making it inside, the door stayed open letting in the 100+ degree heat. Staff didn't seem to show any rush to clear the line so people could come inside and wait by the bar instead. They were out of nitro cold brew but after waiting 15 minutes in line we broke down and got regular cold brew. It was pretty decent flavor, but it would've been nice to see a "sold out" over the nitro so I knew ahead of time. Not a huge expectation since I seen plenty of other spots do this. The matcha is so clumpy that they might as well have just poured the matcha powder into the cup directly instead of attempting to whisk it with the chasen The pumpkin tiramisu latte... have you ever tried espresso but it's like straight vinegar? That's what this gives - super acidic and SOUR. Bad beans, bad shot pull, just bad. 0 vibes in there, they don't even smile at you they do make the drinks fast, BUT AT WHAT COST?! Had high hopes for this place. We moved from the SW location to centennial and were happy to know that there was an Aware coffee shop here. This location is less busy compared to the southwest location in a little business plaza along Ann and 95. I like how there are more places to sit here. When we walked in there were around 6 people, mostly people who have been helped and on their laptops. We ordered a breakfast burrito, a mochi donut, and two coffees (one being a house drip coffee) We were sitting for quite some time. I watched as multiple people got their food and drinks before us. I could hear the staff by the counter asking about the burrito. It seemed like they forgot about it. I can see that they were looking back at me while I listened to their conversation. One told me that the burrito had "broke" and they were waiting for another one. I told them it was okay and i figured they forgot.. they told me they didn't... but their faces when being asked about the burrito and looking that the receipt/order screen when they saw me looking around said otherwise. When the burrito was finally done, they placed another burrito that was openish in the bag saying we could have it. It just felt like... an unhonest coverup. Went for the first time this morning and tried the Salted Caramel Iced Latte with Oat Milk and a Honey Lavender Iced Latte with Oat Milk. The salted caramel latte was a 7/10. It's not super sweet, which was great, but probably not something I'd get again. I prefer a bit of stronger tasting coffee. My boyfriend got the Honey Lavendar Latte and gave it a 9/10 he said it could possibly be one of the best he's had, so that was a win! The place is a cute vibe for sure! Lots of little treats, dope art on the walls, a good food menu, lots of places to sit, and super speedy and friendly service! They do up charge 90cents for oat milk. The total for 1 Large and 1 Small coffee was like $16 which seemed way too expensive in my opinion. Was really hoping to love this spot, but had an awful experience that has left me not wanting to return. I ordered a matcha latte, but was given a tiramisu latte. I kindly let them know I ordered something different and wasn't able to have the tiramisu drink. I said that I can't have anything with coffee in it due to caffeine. (I'm fine with matcha, but can't tolerate coffee based lattes / espresso/ etc). I was told I "should be fine with the caffeine". After reiterating what I said, they told me that they'd double check to see how much caffeine was in it. I had to once again remind them that I had ordered something different entirely (matcha) and they finally agreed to remake it. As I waited, I glanced at the receipt to double check the order was placed correctly and it was. Once I received the matcha, it had several large clumps of powder and it was made with water instead of what I ordered and paid an up charge for (almond milk). I arrived around 8am and ordered the Cookie Butter Latte w/oatmilk. It wasn't busy inside at all. I worked there until about 11am, and it started picking up more around that time. The staff are all very friendly and there are so many drink and food options to choose from and a few vegan/non dairy options which I appreciated. It's very spacious on the inside and is the perfect place to work/study. They also have free WiFi which is an added bonus. I've been coming here for years and usually enjoy the service, but today was very disappointing. This was the first time I received such poor service. I asked the person at the counter about a donut, and he responded in a condescending tone: "It's pistachio, and it's written there." I let it slide and ordered the pistachio donut along with the flan donut, but it turned out not to be pistachio at all -- it was chocolate. That's beside the point, though. When he placed the box by the card reader, he dropped it so carelessly that the flan topping toppled over. As I tried to fix it, he kept rushing me by saying, "Click now to proceed." I told him to wait because I was fixing the box he had just mishandled. He never apologized -- he just stood there watching me struggle to fix and close the box myself without offering any help. I'm usually a generous tipper (18% or more, regardless of the service), but this time I didn't feel the service deserved it. I really hope this was just a one-off experience, because it left a bad impression. read more
