I rarely leave negative reviews, but the experience with this dental office was so disappointing that it deserves to be documented. We waited over a month for an appointment, only to have it canceled the day before with no meaningful explanation and no effort to properly notify us in advance. The next available appointment they offered was another two weeks out, which already demonstrated a lack of respect for patients' time. The day of the rescheduled appointment, I drove over 40 minutes through heavy traffic and arrived 11 minutes late for a 4:30 PM appointment (we arrived at 4:41 PM). Despite the office not closing until 5:00 PM, the staff refused to see us because the doctor "wanted to leave in five minutes." After waiting six weeks in total just to be seen, being turned away over a few minutes -- especially when they themselves had already canceled once -- shows an astonishing lack of professionalism, flexibility, and basic empathy toward patients. Life happens, traffic happens, and most healthcare providers understand that. Instead, we were treated as if our time had no value whatsoever. When an office cancels on patients but refuses to extend even the smallest courtesy in return, it speaks volumes about their priorities. The entire situation left us feeling frustrated and disrespected. Based on this experience alone, I would not recommend this place under any circumstances. Patients deserve professionalism, communication, and basic consideration -- none of which were demonstrated here. read more

If there's one life regret that I have is coming here for my braces. Not only did they remove extra teeth without needing to, but they filed my front teeth without asking for my permission. I live with this regret and now I have to get braces AGAIN because my top and bottom teeth don't align where they're supposed to and I'm applying pressure on areas where I shouldn't. They never gave me elastics to help the alignment either. Complete waste of money, now to waste more money. My smile has changed and I absolutely HATE my results. Went and was told they couldn't do nothing for him cause "the people who do braces aren't in, they are in every other day"!! WTF so my son has to suffer. If I could I'll rip that sh@t out his mouth. Don't expect for them to be warm and friendly. The last time I came in I walk up to the counter while the receptionist was on the phone. DONT COME HERE. I never thought I would write this review for an orthodontist place and wish that I read these two reviews before we began here. Michael C and Jessie L are absolutely RIGHT about this HORRENDOUS place they call an orthodontist office for children. My brother was scheduled to have his braces done within a year. It has been TWO years now, and his teeth are still in gaps because they pulled his teeth apart, and then rescheduled/canceled his appointments, his wire came off a poked him in his mouth for 3 months and no one care to fixed it for him, even when we specifically asked them to take a look at it. The excuses were always that: "the dentist is not in at the moment", "we don't have the replacement wire", and other bulls*%t. Now his MassHealth time is over, and out of no where they canceled my brother's appointment on the day off the appointment, and said they don't want to see him unless his has a health care provider or paying out of pocket. To say they are unprofessional is not enough. They intended to stretch out the dishonestly to make money of people and they know absolutely what they put their patients through. This is could be considered illegal, malpractice, and unethical. read more

If I could give them no stars I would! I went here for my braces and they had to pull out some teeth, I repeated told them I was in pain the whole time of the procedure and they continued to say one minute for about a whole hour. They are very rude and I've even had the head dentist cough in my mouth while he was working on me, I was about 14 at the time and I didn't know who to tell because he's like the top boss there. Anyways making an appointment with the receptionist is hell, they are rude and hate their job and will make sure you know. Also the wait time is ridiculous, I show up 10 minutes before my appointment and get seen an hour later. I told them they never called me so I'm going home and they replied with, well you should've spoke up. Um.. no y'all need to do your job. One time I was getting my retainers done and the dentist asked me do I like guys with abs I said no and he said he works out a lot because there are a lot of hot girls he works with and he's trying to get their attention. How come I have never seen the wonderful doctor shown on the website in many years of coming here? The services provided are very good, however, their billing practices are very suspicious. After carefully reviewing my bill, I found a serious billing error and when I brought it to the attention to the "manager" she fought back denying that I was being overcharged. Showing her the math will all the evidence, she refused to finish my daughters treatment. I began to file a complaint with the state because they were basically receiving extra payment and refused to give me a refund. Well, after a couple of months, I received a call from the office acknowledging the possible billing error which, in my opinion, is very deceitful and possibly fraudulent. Again, CHECK YOUR BILLING! Make sure your insurance gives you a breakdown of what they have pay because from what it looks like, they MAY be over billing patients and they don't have a clue. Remember, they MAXIMIZE insurance payment and then go after you for more money. Just be careful. Again, the services were good, but billing was very suspect. read more

Going to this place was a disappointment. I went to them seeking help with a toothache that I had explained to them from the beginning to only get there and have the doctor I was appointed to tell me he doesn't do extractions so I need to make another appointment. First I was told I couldn't have all my son's records, then I tried to reach out Dr. Mouhab Rizkallah for 3 months and I didn't receive any calls back. Finally when I talked to the doctor Rizkallah he was very rude and said he never received my messages and didn't bother to apologize. He treated me like I was nothing. He couldn't explain why my son was on braces for over 18 months and nothing had changed on his upper teeth. Then with total lack of respect he just said I should look for another place which is exactly what I did. That Doctor is an arrogant person who doesn't know how to treat people with respect. He thinks that because we are not Doctor's that we are stupid. They promised us the treatment wouldn't take more than 18 months to be completed and after 18 months one could barely see ANY changes at all. I told him I wouldn't mind paying for more treatments but I wanted an explanation why he never returned my calls about my son's treatment not working out and also I wanted to know WHY it took 18 months and basically nothing had changed BUT yet without explanation I should pay another 2,400 for continuation of a treatment which wasn't working. I strongly recommend seeking another practice. The staff here (with the exception of a few) are rude and condensing. Instead of giving proper instruction and guidance for individuals who are having trouble adjusting to braces, they will remove your wires, elastics and bands and leave you with the metal hooks for several weeks, thus extending your treatment time and charging you more money. Additionally, they did not disclose several important details about insurance coverage for me. When I had the my braces installed when I was 17. Because of my health insurance, I loose coverage for treatment after 18, thus leaving me with the balance to pay on my own. read more

They WILL NOT give you a warning - The orthodontist at Ashmont will force you into a payment plan or leave you with your braces on forever. I was a patient here from 2014 to 2015. I walked in and was seen the same day. Everything fell apart after that. They charged me $25.00 for appointments in case I didn't show up, and promised to refund it back onto my card with a couple of weeks. I never missed an appointment. The first couple of refunds went back onto my card, but the last 2 times I had to go up there in person to get the money in cash. They over booked and I waited 30 to 45 minutes for every appointment before being seen by a student. I had to reschedule my crown appointment 3 times. The first time I showed up they were overbooked and I couldn't wait. The 2nd appointment I was in the chair ready to be worked on when the student realized they had run out of something and they couldn't place my crown without it.
