This was one of the worst bowling establishments I have ever entered. They should rename this place to the gambler, because the upper casino seems like a far bigger focus rather than the lanes themselves. Do not expect up to date bowling infrastructure at the bowler as the systems are outdated and there is a severe lack of house balls. Not to mention the worst offenders are the incredibly rude staff. On our way out, I watched an older staff member yell at a child because the child needed different bowling shoes. But they're not just rude to children. When we attempted to rent a lane we got to witness the absolute lack of customer service skills we experienced.employee I spoke to both on the phone and in person used the mode stuff condescending tone, I have ever heard. When we finally got to bowl after paying their insane per hour price, and the employee proceeded to watch us with what I can only describe as a distrusting gaze. This was supported by him glaring at my friend after she threw something away. He then proceeded to check the garbage. The overall vibe was that we weren't welcome. If you're considering coming to the bowler, I would highly urge you to find an alternative bowling center with kinder employees, better customer service, updated bowling systems, and better pricing. read more

This is a very fun spot to come at around night time with all the colorful lights makes it fun and the pizza was quick getting to us and it was amazing i definitely recommend The service staff were nice and welcoming. read more

It's a long established spot for a beer , a party, what do they say "inexpensive and built to stay that way?" Ring the nest is in the nicest newest bowling alley in town... But it holds a lot of memories and they ain't charging you 12 bucks for a beer. Same or similar crowds every week. read more

Ordered nachos. The "taco meat" was actually an old burnt hamburger patty cut up into chunks. Maybe had 1/4 cup of cheese that was burnt into the blackened chips. Gross. Friend ordered pizza. Toppings only in the middle so had 3 inches of crust plus it was burnt too. Drinks were strong but beware the bartenders put your drink down and then run off without giving you your change. I bowled here once...and once was enough. You are immediately greeted by sketchy bar goers who are standing outside the doors, and having their smoke. When you enter the building, you must go down the stairs, and walk down the dark to get to the front desk/register. If you are brave enough to make it this far, then For $14 you can bowl for 1 hour, which also includes the shoe rental. There are no drinks available for purchase, except for the cash only vending machines. The only food there To offer, are frozen pizzas. anything else must be purchased on the second floor, from the bar. read more

Oh how I WISH THIS PLACE EXISTED IN NY!!!! Not only is it a huge bowling alley, its also a small casino with table games and a big bar area that does killer fun and organized trivia, and sex toy bingo!!! I mean come on, what more can you ask for?! Oh wait, they also have an awesome food special with pizza, breadsticks and pitcher of beer for $20. Wow, take me home you epitomy of local Fargo! This really is the spot for local browsing too and it was mighty interesting and more fun than any trivia night I've gone to before. Just want to say, that the 3 chupacabras from NY came in 2nd out of 15 teams, with the smallest team being us and the best brains being nearly us hahahah! But no joke, there was something fun and specials going on every night of the week here and if I lived in Fargo I know this would be the place my friends and I would be hitting up at least once a week. Going to The Bowler is like a throwback to simpler times for me. Whether I am participating in the bowling or just watching my kids bowl, I enjoy the sounds of the pins crashing, the music playing and the people watching. The bowling area is in good shape with plenty of lanes. You can get the bumpers if needed. Also, the lanes on both the north and south ends have couch like seating for more comfortable group settings. Otherwise, the other lanes have high top tables and stools. Also in the building are some arcade type games in the lower level. There are three bar areas as well as Gina's Pizza. The staff is friendly whenever we stop by and generally ask my kids how they are doing. They had a great deal for kids this past summer with a summer pass for $25 which includes games and shoes essentially from Memorial Day to Labor Day. We definitely got our money's worth for how often the kids wanted to go. read more

Friendly staff and fun bowling... even if the lanes are getting a bit old and you have to watch out for various dips here and there, the rentals and games are cheap, and the beers are generally cheap, too, especially for those $2 happy hour drinks. Some blackjack, but I'm generally not here to play that... I prefer also coming with my own shoes here, but they have almost all sizes available most of the time. We went for lunch at 11:45. Only two people in the whole place. Asked if they had lunch. The bartender said yes and brought us menus. We ordered. Time went by and by and by. 40 minutes later we asked about or food saying our lunch break was almost over. He went to check. Came back out and said sorry not even close to being done. WHAT. We went to The Bowler for the first time two weeks ago and we weren't treated friendly. I forgot my student id and automatically snapped at me and my boyfriend saying "well you're going to be charged more for that." We understood but he said it in a very rude way. Two weeks later we went again, all of us remembering our student id's. My boyfriend and I went first and he charged us $30 after we went to our lane he charged our friends only $3. He was polite to them but was very rude to us yet again. We will no longer be going there. read more

You know the kinds of places where you look down a very long, somewhat sketchy, dark, hallway to enter, and think "holy hell, am I going to get murdered here?" The answer, maybe. Quite possibly actually. At the Bowler. That's how I describe the Bowler. There is an upstairs, for bowling - obviously. And a downstairs that looks like something out of the Saw movies for darts and pool. We found this place after a group says "lets go bowling. Lets go shoot some pool. Lets go throw some darts." Where can you do it all? The Bowler. Alright, 3 tables in the basement and a music machine on the wall. I refuse to call it a jukebox. Quality of the tables? Not too bad shockingly and only a dollar. What pissed me off to no end, a flickering florescent light over one of them. I know what you're thinking, it's just a flickering light. Yeah, try not having a seizure while you're playing 3 games of pool, and lining up shots. Then spout off. The darts were shit. Boards were ancient, only a couple spare tips and the darts themselves were very cheap. Drinks were solid - keeps this place from being a total waste of time besides being a possible location for catching the clap. Very cheap drinks, and very good pours from the bar staff. And they run a tab (and correctly), which is pretty nice. All in all, we were told it was "sketchy" going in - that wasn't lying one bit. Will I go back when I'm up there again? Maybe? read more

Horrible experience! Waited for over 1/2 hour waiting for a staff member who could order our food and get a lane started for bowling. Ended up leaving with NO service at all. Had an employee ask what we needed and he didn't know how then he asked a couple more times and eventually walked away. read more

Absolutely my favorite place to have fun in Fargo. The summer pass is only 30 dollars and you get unlimited bowling and shoes included. It pays for itself by the second visit. Add that to the casino upstairs that includes 6 tables and pigwheel and the bar boasting 3 nights of karaoke, sex toy bingo, darts, pool and the cheapest strongest drinks in town and you'll be happy to indulge in some Ginas Pizza by the end. This place looks stuck in 1995 and that's exactly how we like it. read more

The single person cheese pizza was 4 triangle slices. A. Triangles werent even right angles. B. It was clearly able to be 8 pieces of isosceles triangles C. It was a burnt piece of 7$ my friend will never get back. Now, onto the music, it was very quiet which I would rather have opposite since I paid for Fergilicious to be played. In fact, the juke box system was very hard to navigate and rather frustrated me, a 47 year old man. On a side note here, my friend has now informed the party that the pizza is preferable cold than hot. Rather poor I do say. Now, to the lighting, it is rather odd to have the bar patrons be looking over the minors enjoying their physically enduring sport of bowling. However, for most other than myself it seems not to bother. Quite odd. Also, apparently the strobe lights are only turned on Fridays and Saturdays. I do rather say that's rather posh as I did slide the man a fiddy cent piece and he rejected it! The Bowler sits atop the list of horrible places to visit in Fargo. The atmosphere can only be described as dirty and the service is despicable, not to mention this bar's involvement in recent violent crimes. I was charged $82.00 for $35.00 worth of drinks, was refused an itemized receipt, and when I asked to speak with the manager about the gross overcharge, the bartender threatened to call the police if we did not pay the incorrect bill, and immediately leave the premises. The manager is extremely rude, and insulted myself and my girlfriend numerous times throughout the process of trying to get this issue resolved. If you like being accurately charged for services rendered, and you want to be treated with common human decency, you should stay as far away from the bowler as possible. If you want to be overcharged, threatened, insulted, or stabbed in the parking lot, the bowler is the place for you. read more

Service was HORRIBLE!!! Bowling attendant was so rude. Our balls kept getting stuck in the back taking away from our play time. The guy made it out to be our fault for the balls getting stuck, and also making other excuses. Then told us that he didn't care if he lost customers. He also refused to tell us his name when asked. Good place to play Black Jack. The dealers are very friendly. Some nights if your lucky the domestic beers are 2 bucks. Week nights mostly. I never won a lot there, but a good place to hang out and play Black Jack and talk with the dealers. Every once in awhile you will get some foul mouth idiot at the table, but that's the way it is. read more
