First time checking out this place and it was very kewl. You walk in and there are tables and booths in various stations of the restaurant. TVs placed everywhere and lots of soccer memorabilia. You can also purchase merchandise. There is a full bar towards the side with more seating and TVs. I ordered a burger with fries, which was good even though they missed the bacon I had ordered with it. A chicken sandwich and a hot dog, both with fries and some chicken wings. The wings had a smoky flavor to them. Very different to anything I had tried before. My kiddo did not like her hot dog. Unfortunately, I did not try it so can't comment on it. You order at the checkout counter and they give you a number then you seat. They bring the food to you once ready. The place had arcades so it was great for kids and even had seating outdoors if you want to get away from the noise. Very kewl spot. Would love to check it out for a soccer match without the kiddos.

I ordered a vegan burger with Pimento cheese Macaron andi cheese, the French onion dip and the Grilled Nutella. If this restaurant has one flaw, it's the lack of flavor. The burger was good, but I added my own flavoring at home. The chips are great, but the dip has absolutely no flavor at all. We could not figure out how to save that and ended up trashing the dip. The mac was really good, but you cannot taste the paminto cheese. The grilled Nutella was delicious! My mom, got a burger with tater tots. She told me it was good, but didn't have much flavor either. This was a solid 3.5 stars!

Yummy food + fun, casual atmosphere! During my most recent visit we had a group of 7 of us and sat in the front area - if you keep walking towards the back they have lots of different sections. My Carolina Cobb salad was great! You just order at the counter, grab a number, and they bring your food to your table. I also like how you can go right into BeerStudy next door to find a fun drink!

A super solid pub-style eatery connected to Beer Study with great service, great food, and a vibe that makes me want to stay all day and watch soccer. Menu has options for all sorts of dietary restrictions and preferences without making you feel like you have limited options, which is always a plus, and in addition to their cans and bottles, you can always walk through the threshold to order a drink from Beer Study! It was honestly difficult for me to decide what to eat because there were so many great-sounding options. I was inspired to order the Virgil (fish sandwich) at the suggestion of the guy in line in front of me and I have absolutely no regrets--delicious!! Parking lot is a bit of a disaster, so definitely plan to come early if there's a game on.

I really like the atmosphere and their rustic pipe tables! Although the staff was nice, the food was mediocre at best. I had such a high hope since the ratings are great but overall the price was high, the quality is mediocre, and unfortunately their pickle basket was a bust.

Dope place with delicious food and fun vibes. They offer a variety of different food. Burgers, salads, bowls, wings and more. Staff is amazing and I love how they sell beer, wine, merch and they have a bar! Prices are reasonable and you get a lot of food. Great place for a fun date night.

Pub fare done well. I had the Carolina Cobb salad, which was generous on the fixings - if anything, I wished I had more greens to balance out the massive amounts of pimento cheese and bacon. Extremely hearty and filling. My husband got a sandwich, which I didn't try but he enjoyed. I did steal some of his sweet potato fries, which were lightly sweetened and crispy without being greasy. I am not a sports person, but I would happily hang out here eating tasty food with people who wanted to watch sports.

Great food and service. Some unusual stuff on the menu but nothing weird for the sake of weirdness. We get take out there often.

This incredible space welcomes guests entering Full Frame Theater, as well as sometimes its neighbor, The Power Plant Gallery. It's a VERY unique event venue flanked by mammoth coal-fired boilers that were used in the original building. You can admire the elevator shaft to the right of the front door, or envision the unseen inside (but very visible outside) base of the Lucky Strike smokestack which The Boiler Room "horeshoes" around. Enormous windows, concrete floors and brick walls give this space the perfect impression for any event [can I plan my next birthday party here?!] No space has ever scream contemporary meets historic so clearly! Plus, doors are open 9am-midnight, SEVEN days a week, so there truly is no reason to miss this drool-worthy space. Secret tip: it's air-conditioned and they've got tall-topped tables and chairs inside along the massive windows. This would be the perfect get-away from the office or {indoor} picnic lunch spot.

There seems to be two interior dining ares (one with an upstairs balcony) plus a patio and then an open grassy area. It looks like they host many wedding receptions and other special events. The cookery looks great from the outside: color mural on its side-wall, fancy metal, grillwork up front along with a cool sign are the only hints of what lies inside. For this charity dinner they had a bunch of long tables set up family-style for a communal dinner. In back the bar was busy and buzzing with action. And the overall space is not huge but comfortable and lit really well. Accent lights on the rough brick walls created a lot of visual texture for the eye. The space is open but still very personal. A landing area at top was unused and a storage area up front near the ceiling housed what looks like brewing equipment for Ponysaurus (?) Overall the Cookery seems like a great space for a corporate or personal event if you don't have a huge headcount. While there isn't much else right around here, the Cookery is worth the drive out if you've got an excuse for a visit...

If your looking for a nice clean event space in Durham downtown, check them out. I attended an event through yelp here and had a blast. It was clean, tidy and super stocked with amazing wines. The event was great. It's always a pleasure to meet up with old yelp friends and meet new yelp friends! During this event I noticed they had so many amazing drinks to pull from. The bartender and staff working were super cool. There was live music as well as vendors from around the triangle. Shout out to the guitarist who was jamming to all of the latest tunes. Parking was a struggle so we ended up at a meter which wasn't that far of a walk. There is a parking garage directly across the street so you may want to check that out if you experience parking struggles. The ambiance and decor was great for the facility. The shelves were stocked and super neat. 5stars!
