Went for the first time tonight and was met by delicious aromas of smokey BBQ so was pretty excited to try. We all had three pulled pork sandwiches and we waited thirty mins for our food. When we placed our order we could see the pork and then making sandwiches so what could take them thirty mins to make three sandwiches?? There were two or three young employees standing in the hallway in the back and walking around trying to look busy- they could be expediting or speeding the process along! Way too long for how busy it was at the time. BBQ was tasty. Had the Georgia chopped pork, ended up eating it without the bun- kinda bland. Will try again. read more

I had the Bone cater my wedding and not only was it affordable, but it was delicious. They were fast and easy to work with, not stressful at all. Customer service was great and every guest asked about the food or commented on how delicious it was. If you're planning on having BBQ at your wedding, you should definitely go with them. The food was on point. By far the best BBQ in the area. Get there early because the smoked turkey sells out. Tonight I had the pulled pork and pulled chicken. The portions are generous. The Bone catered a huge barbecue for us(130+ people) this summer and everybody raved about the food! The delivery charge was really fair, especially since we live pretty far out in the country, and the guy who came and delivered it was helpful, friendly, and punctual. Went here for the first time on Thursday, my friend and I split a sampler platter (which I recommend because it comes with FOUR choices of meats and two sides- so it's good for trying a LOT of but of everything. The Mac and cheese was delicious, so we're the ribs and brisket the pulled pork was ehhh. Their house bbq sauce is so god! And the food came out fast and we got corn bread immediately (PS u can ask for more :-)) I would just say more flavor in the pulled pork and more bbq sauce options. The BBQ was very good. I had the brisket in po' boy form and I actually really enjoyed it! It wasn't tough and dry but wasn't mushy and fatty. It was the perfect in between with no fat, loads of flavor, and juicy! I'm very particular about my BBQ, and I couldn't decide which of the choices I wanted. Luckily, Matt, who was behind the register, was patient enough to listen to what I wanted and then suggest which of the bbq's I should choose (beef, pork, chicken). His suggestion was spot on! I loved it! Not only did Matt do a great job listening and suggesting, he also has excellent customer service skills. He's very professional, polite, and personable. We used The Bone to cater our Fall Festival event for our preschool, and we have now done so a few times over the last 2 years. They are amazing to work with-- very communicative, flexible and open to our needs. On top of that, the staff shows up on time and is very professional. Last but not least, the food is always outstanding. So flavorful, and the spice level on the food is minimal, which we really appreciate for feeding 120+ little children. We helped with the Serve Our Willing Warriors bike ride fund raiser at the Farm Brewery at Broad Run in May. The bone provided lunch at no cost for all the participants and support staff. The food was terrrific. So, we were having a little party at home are ordered up from the Bone in Gainesville. Great food, easy process, ready on time. Catering pick up - great experience! We ordered a triple platter for 22 people for a family get together. Pat Lytle, one of the managers, worked with me on taking the order. It was being packed up when I arrived, perfect timing. Food was very good, freshly made, and more than enough for 22 people. Delicious leftovers for a week. Highly recommended. Ordered the meat sampler to go and picked brisket, ribs, sausage, and pulled chicken. The brisket was unimpressive, and I decided to throw it away. Ribs were acceptable, and both the sausage and chicken were delicious. The sausage is pretty spicy- fair warning. The chicken was good enough that I actually came back later in the week and got an order of that by itself. The fries and ranch beans were just okay, not stellar. I will definitely come back here. I will say that I came in about 15-20 minutes before closing to order the chicken to go, and they acted like I was inconveniencing them. All the staff seemed very young, probably all under 21 and have no work ethic yet. read more

Mixed reviews, probably won't go back. The first time I had it, it was very good. I had the mixed platter with brisket, sausage and chicken I think, it it was very tasty. I went back a few months later and I just got brisket and pulled pork. What I got was a big hunk of fat that I had to spit out and I noticed the rest of the plate was the same. I'm sure you've had it before, it's gross, and it ruined the meal. It was a waste of money. If I go again, and I probably won't, I'll stick to the sausage and chicken. The local brew is really good. I just wish they were consistent and paid attention to what they were putting on the plate or in the to-go container. read more

Best wings in town. As a Buffalo native, I have had Anchor Bar wings, Buffalo Wild Wings, and wings all around the US. The smoked wings make all of the difference in the world. They flash fry them for just a hair to crisp them up and the smokey habanero wings are as hot or hotter than any I have had. Fresh sliced jalapeños add to the heat and flavor as well. Another place I've been coming to since they opened and must say some of the best BBQ ever! Always consistent and delicious! Any time out-of-town friends visit, this is our go to place. Love, love, love the Honey Bourbon wings, pulled pork and brisket. Spicy sausage is a bit too spicy for me, but I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy. Hubby loves it though. Owners are wonderful folks and really take care of their customers. Staff is always friendly. Everyone we have brought here has also loved it! A must add to your list of favs! read more

Our University has worked with The Bone Catering for a number of years. Every time its been amazing, not only is their food to die for, they also have excellent customer service. We usually work with Pat and he is such an awesome person to work with. Just the other day I make a mistake on the delivery date of a catering order of about $500.00. The invoice was set for 22nd and I needed the order on the 21st. I called the morning of the 21st super early and Pat was available. Needless to say we were able to get the food delivered by 10:45 on the 21st. He is always willing to go above and beyond for us and always will to work with our budget. read more

We hired "The Bone" to cater our wedding "I Do BBQ" which was hosted at our home. When it was time for the dinner to be served I was not prepared for what happened next. These folks came prepared, with all the food and grill in tow! It was Awesome! The food was all handled by their staff and it tasted fantastic! We received so many compliments from our guests about the quality of the dishes they served. We even got nailed with a 25 minute rainstorm and these folks didn't miss a beat! Top notch professional courteous crew serving up great eats for a very fair price! I would hire them again no questions asked.
