It's a little more expensive than it used to be. Inflation. That's what it is everywhere. Yet I'm happy to recommend this restaurant. Do I generally get a meal at a gas station? Nope but here, it's been known as a good place for years. Recently enjoyed another lunch. Wonderful employees, and great service as well. Here you'll feel valued and have a good experience. Are there good bbq places in northern Virginia? Sure. Yet many of them are far more expensive than here. You get mouth watering pulled pork, and the quality and taste are impeccable. The sides are decent, and I find this to be solid, especially when you factor in the price. Seating areas are a little older, but that gives this place some charm. Definitely stop by!

It's was ok. Mac & cheese wasn't hot which was disappointing. Bbq was not bad but didn't wow us. Friendly workers though!

If you don't want sweet tea, unsweetened is available in bottles in the drink cooler.

We stopped in for supper early on a Friday evening. Little restaurant with a cute interior (i noticed those curtains) that's part of a truck stop. Dining area and kitchen were clean; bathrooms could be cleaner. Service was helpful, cheerful, and quick. Husband and i both got the 3 ribs plate with one side; husband got an extra side. Portions were generous--it took us 2 days to eat the ribs! We both enjoyed the greens but wished they had been more heavily seasoned (salt pork woulda been nice, but i understand the need for vegetarian options); hot sauce helped. The beans were standard baked beans from a can, which is a shame because the BBQ sauces are sooooo good and would make for some killer beans from scratch. We especially like the spicy sauce. The larger ribs were tender and juicy with a little pull to them. Really nice. The smaller, thinner ribs on the slab ends were a bit dry and tough... but still tasty! We ate every bite.

Been driving by here for years and seeing this place and thought it was nothing more than a truckstop type diner, so I never stopped. But they've stepped up their social media presence and I decided to stop in to give them a try. We went on a Sunday, around lunch time and it wasn't very busy, though others came in while we were there. Tried the following: Small Pulled pork sandwich - Meat looked great, but wasn't very flavorful. The non-spicy BBQ sauce was slightly too vinegary. Small chopped beef sandwich - Meat looked great, nice smoke look to it and a decent amount of smoke flavor too. Spicy BBQ sauce was decent. Would've been better with something else on it, perhaps slaw. ¼ Chicken - Nice looking smoke to the meat and decent flavor, though not too deep in smokey flavor. It wasn't too dry; it was decent. Baked Beans - Boring... not a lot of flavor, definitely not the "traditional" baked beans from a BBQ joint. Potato Salad - Definitely would have been amazing if there was slightly more mayo and more seasoning, like salt & pepper. Cole Slaw - Nice, nearly perfect! Mac & Cheese - Pretty good, cheesy, flavorful. Apple Crisp - Definitely no "crisp" at all to it, more on the very soft and mushy side. Resembled canned apples and cake mix baked together. I actually liked the flavor though. Overall, it was OK, but nothing special. It was slightly better than I had expected all the years of riving by though. Worth a try, as I'm sure many will find it appealing.

I have been wanting to stop in and give this place a try for years. Woke up on Mother's Day and my wife and I hopped on the motorcycle and took a ride and stopped by for breakfast. It wasn't packed so we were able to order right away. They have a pretty good selection of breakfast items and the prices are very reasonable. I went with the two eggs, sausage and toast with a small order or biscuits and gravy and my wife got an omelette and toast. We sat down and what seemed like only a few minutes later our food was at our table. The portions were generous and the food was pretty good. I will say this, don't judge a book by its cover. It is not a fine diner but the service and quality are better than some of the chain restaurants I have eaten at recently. If you are ever in the area, definitely stop in and give them a try.

Our waitress seemed friendly enough as she engaged in conversation with us about our dog and asked if she could have a milk bone and we said . She went and got water for us, which came in a nice bottle, but was then served with two nasty plastic cups that had spots all over them and chips around the rim. It took a while for her to come back around to take our drink order but when she did, we ordered specialty drinks, my husband got the Southern Jam which, after one step I could tell by the look on his face, he was disgusted by it and I got the mocktail Farmer Tan which was spicy and hard on my throat, I guess it was the chipotle. We weren't super hungry so we only ordered appetizers. We got the melting pot fries and the hot shrimp and crab dip. I guess they're trying to be unique by using Chick-fil-A fries because that's exactly what they tasted like and you could barely taste the truffle or the Parmesan. The shrimp and crab dip came out and was a bright orange. It almost looked like it was supposed to be a buffalo dip. We've never seen any type of crab dip like this before. It had absolutely no flavor. We couldn't taste any crab it's only big chunks of shrimp, but again after three servings of it, there was no flavor and it was impossible to wash any of this food down with the nasty drinks. There were three other tables filled while we were outside, and the sun was beaming down. One of the customers got up and tried to turn the fan on with no luck. It didn't work and it seemed like the waitress had disappeared. We didn't see her in a while. I'm finally I had to go to the bar and ask for the check myself once she came out with it. My husband gave her his card and when she came back, we discovered that we had been rung up with someone else's bill, which was $30 more than ours. I then went up to the window again, and the bartender was ringing up somebody else so he couldn't help me and told me that the waitress would fix it. She then came out with the correct receipt, but we still had no evidence of the the wrong charge on our card which my husband checked his account and had already been charged for. So I went back up to the window again and asked for a receipt showing that the credit was made or avoid or something, and the waitress was getting flustered because she didn't know how to do that and had to call someone else over to help her. They said they've avoided the transaction, but couldn't print anything out showing it just said the charge has been made so now we have to monitor our account to make sure that this was indeed credited to us. After having a horrible food experience, and then being charged for the wrong bill, we will never be back here again. Oh and we never got the milk bone for a dog either. UPDATE: I see the owner has responded and I do understand how a bank works because I used to actually work for one. # 1) I have not been calling you. #2) The majority of the review was about the food, drinks and service. Get your facts straight before you do a public unprofessional response. All the more reason to not recommend this business to anyone. The right thing to do would have just been to apologize for the bad experience like any professional business owner which you're clearly not.

Sauce was ok, but a little condiment cup wasn't enough to bathe my meat in it. For an $11 sammich, it would have been nice to get at least a little side of slaw or a scoop on the sammie. $7 crinkle cut fries you can get at Costco is not a recommended purchase. Dinky portion & served kinda lukewarm with seasoned salt. $20 was not well spent for a sandwich and fries. However, if you're starving while the truck happens to be at the venue you're enjoying, then it's decent grub...just a bit expensive for what you get. The fries were really a let down when I saw them. When I get food from a truck, I'm hoping to see some interesting food that's a bit elevated from a brick & mortar, especially when you're paying premium prices for their lower overhead. When I'm ordering fries from a place that's not a cheap fast-food joint and paying almost $10 for them, I'm hoping to see some well-fried fries that are super tasty, wonderfully crispy, and a beautiful golden brown. I am not looking to get a small pile of anemic crinkle cut fries that look like they came out of a giant bag of Ore Idas that you can get at Costco for the same price I paid for this dinky handful. I'm not buying a side just to get more food. I'm buying a side to complement my entree making it a delicious meal at hopefully a good value. Needless to say, I couldn't even finish the fries as small a portion as they were...and I had help eating them...no one thought they were very tasty. If I'm spending a chunk of change on food I'm hoping to enjoy, I really want to enjoy every bite. This pairing I selected was ok, but did not leave a memorable impression enough for me to repeat the expense. If you're a BBQ aficionado, although, you might want to give it a try. The meat was tasty but just a bit ordinary.
