Horrible experience after purchasing reed diffusers I came upon this cute shop on a mini vacay and purchased several bottles of the Bohemian Botanical "reed diffusers". When I returned home was excited to put out the diffusers only to fine the 3 out of the 4 bottles purchased were "bad". I called the next day explained the 3 defective bottles was told some one would call me back waited a couple days no call back, I called back again spoke to Faith , she assured me someone would contact me she took me name & mailing address said they would mail out new reed diffusers . great I thought waited another week nothing came in the mail. I called back again Faith again said she would have someone call me back and unfortunately the diffusers can get bad milky thick and white , yes I told her 3 out of 4 bottles I purchased were like this, waited a few more days and nothing! I contacted my bank disputed the charges for 3 reed diffuser bottles my bank refunded my $$. Buyer beware when purchasing "reed diffuser " bottles if the liquid inside bottles appear milky white and thick these are damaged contaminated and should be thrown out . This store has changed drastically. I had been here a few months ago, loved it and purchased several gifts. I even recommended it to friends. When I returned today with my husband and young granddaughters to buy gifts, the store was filled with items covered in profanity. My granddaughters were reading the words aloud, and we had to leave immediately. Very offensive and disappointing. We will not be back. read more

This is a beautiful magical shop loaded with all kinds of treasures. A lot of love, thoughts and planning went into this magical place. A cute shop in a cute little touristic-town. Friendly staff in both locations I visited. Eclectic assortment of items for sale that are functional, gifty, and personal. The main reason that I'm sorely disappointed is the owner has chosen to sell mostly non-local items (made in China, other states, other countries) instead of supporting the myriad of local artisans they could choose to help prosper. Occidental is very touristic little stop, and people go there from all over for the chill small town vibe and sport activities. "Boho Bungalow" is missing a huge opportunity to support bohemian art and artists in their area, thus authentically supporting the Occidental community instead of just selling wares to tourists that can be purchased other places or online. Small towns, please support your local artisans. read more

This is a really fun shop with unique and inspiring items for the home. Gina made me feel special from the second I walked through the door. She knew the merchandise well and was able to recommend a few items I wound up purchasing. Plus, she reads you your fortune from the cash register receipt! Great little gem of a store. read more

Faith, the owner, has become a great friend of mine and she treats everybody as such that walks through the doors of her store. I was driving through this little town and wanted to stop to see if I could find flowers, cake, and candles for my brother birthday. I was not really able to find balloons or flowers but the lady who works at this gift shop helped me put on where to go for a cake and candles. She had sparklers that helped. The fact I did this the last minute I was surprised of how helpful she was trying to help me get something for my brother. I love this,store! Very pretty store. read more

I had a fun time discovering Boho Bungalow this evening. It has been a glorious early fall day and where better to enjoy it than Occidental! Such a pretty little town with trees starting to turn in the crisp autumn air! We visited Boho Bungalow before meeting friends for dinner. This store is a feast for the senses with a variety of smells, textures, colors and beauty to behold. They have wonderful jewelry of all kinds...you could spend hours just looking at everything. I bought a gorgeous multi-strand bead necklace, earrings for me and earrings for hubby. There are all kinds of fun decorative pillows, lovely hand woven rugs, cards, incense, candles, lotions, CBD products, and lots of little containers to dig through and find beads, rings and other irresistible treasures! I also bought a tincture of pet CBD drops for my older dog and a bag that says I'm a happy camper (not for me, but for hubby). I'm happier shopping than camping and Boho Bungalow is definitely a happy place! read more

This store is a gem. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and that goes for the other employees I've encountered there as well. I could buy everything in here! There's such unique stuff and every time I go in the store has a bit of a different look than the last time and seems like they're always getting in cool new stuff. I LOVE that they sell the locally made brand 3 Sister's Apothecary. The worst customer service I have encountered in a long time! I bought some items at The Boho Bungalow last weekend and inadvertently left them in the store next to them, the Galleria. Unfortunately, I didn't discover it until I had gotten home. I subsequently left three voice mails (they never answer their phone) and one email for them over a three-day period. I finally called the Galleria and they confirmed that the package had been left there and that they had taken it back to The Boho. I drove up (one-hour drive) yesterday to retrieve the package and when I asked why my email hadn't been answered, I was told that they don't respond to emails (even though the email contact is listed on their website) and she (not the owner) couldn't explain why I hadn't been called back. I won't be shopping there again! I just can't understand why an owner would not care more about her customers. It would have been very easy for her to respond to my calls and email...and she would have had a very happy, buying customer in the future. However, the Galleria personnel were fantastic - even taking her phone (with me talking to her) next door to The Boho to ensure that the package was still there. read more

It's like a more affordable and thoughtful version of Anthropologie. Unique jewelry, Mexican textile bags, soft knit sweaters - and I wanted to decorate my entire house with her wares. The boho Bungalow is an adorable little shop in Occidental. My husband and I stopped in and bought a cool VW sign. This shop is super unique and supports and bunch of local artists. The owner, Faith was very sweet and told us all about the area and gave great recommendations for some local wineries to visit. We will for sure come back to visit next time we are in the area. A well-curated shop, with a wonderful owner. She's always so nice, so helpful, and fits right in with the laid back tone of Occidental. What's also a rare pleasure these days is to find a store that has really great items at every price point. Lower Marin and Healdsburg shops like these are for browsing only, unless you pulled up in a BMW. I guess some things are "retro" but it all looks on-trend and timeless to me.
