my beautiful ring!
Cait L.

I visited Healdsburg for a wedding in the summer of 2022, Lucky Heron was my favorite shop in the plaza area! It had the cutest items, great gift and souvenir options, all fairly priced! I bought a beautiful ring and it was unfortunately stolen in 2023, I emailed the shop and Michelle got back to me that they still had the ring in stock, and shipped it to me in CO! It was one of the nicest customer service experiences I've had and I'll never forget her kindness.

I dunno, man...they got lots of stuff ^______^

This place is DOPE! With a CAPITAL D-O-P-E! I always keep harping on about this, because it is important to me, and I want it to be important to you - shop locally ^_____^ If this pandemic has taught me nothing: it's that we're all on our own. But we're also all in this together... Man, WTF. There are too many people that I don't want to rely on, cuz, well, they are unreliable AH, amirite?! "Oh, Gawd, he's gonna talk about that stupid compound again, isn't he?" YES, GD It!!!!! We gotta buy a huge plot of land out in the middle of bum-f*** nowhere, start farming, probably next to a large supply of natural water and we gotta stick together, people!! It's the only way!! When the zombies/viruses/nuclear holocaust comes, we need to be protected. And yes, I did recently watch The Last of Us, why do you ask?

Lucky Heron is an adorable little shop in downtown Healdsburg. I loved and ended up buying one of the cute soaps and one of the seed cards (I try to give these to my mom whenever possible for her celebratory events) and just fell in love the shawls and woven bags. We're currently not buying many home or clothing items right now unless it's a gift due to my allergy, but Lucky Heron has a pretty sweet online shop, so I've definitely bookmarked it for the time when we will be finally adding some joy and color to our new home. If you're local or visiting in the area, it's an absolute must drop in!

What a Wonderful find in the beautiful city of Healdsburg. If you are lucky enough to visit this town you Must stop into this amazing store. It's located just across the street from the downtown park and tucked just steps away from the main sidewalk. You will be so glad you visited this unique store and I know that you will be able to find a darling baby gift, a memento for yourself or even a special gift for a friend. This store has so much to offer including candles, towels with funny remarks printed on them, cards, clothing, unique toys, jewelry, wool items, lotions and so much more. (Even Chocolate !!) Some of the hand made items are made by women and children who are raising money for wonderful causes. I met Christopher the other day when I was there and purchased a darling Baby gift for my 'soon to be grandchild'. Christopher was such a kind gentleman who obviously loves his job there and wrapped my gift perfectly. I just had to go back today to purchase one more thing and I was lucky enough to meet Michelle, the owner, and Caitlyn. They were both kind and helpful making my visit a real pleasure. I know if you visit Healdsburg you will enjoy visiting this shop where I'm sure you will find the perfect gift for someone special !!

Dragonfly is a local treasure!…read more It's a flower farm, full florist, and flower stand. A friend inspired me to stop in recently, to buy some stems from their self-serve flower stand. If there's not a staff member around, it's an honor system: leave cash or pay by Venmo. My (quince, I think) stems were mostly buds and now they've been blooming beautifully for the past 2+ weeks, adding cheer to our space. Excited to see what stems they have when I visit next!

I recently ordered flowers for delivery from Dragonfly Florist in Healdsburg, California…read more The person taking my order was kind and attentive. She promised yellow flowers in the arrangement. I see no yellow flowers (see pic). I emailed Dragonfly to express my dissatisfaction with the cost and composition of the arrangement. This reply from Carlisle: "Hi Janice, We appreciate your order and feedback. We take great pride in our work, our team and the relationships with other local businesses we support. Sometimes this comes at a slighter higher cost for this quality of materials and labor. We are sorry you are disappointed. It is rare for us to get a message like this. It sounds like the other florist would be a better fit for you moving forward. Good luck to you! Carlisle and the Dragonfly Floral Team" Based upon the reply above, Dragonfly Floral will not enjoy my patronage in the future. I also sent a follow-up email reply specifically to the business owner, prior to posting this promised review. No further communication(s) received from Dragonfly to date. I will also post a pic (with a blue ribbon) showing an arrangement from a different, significantly less expensive florist for comparison, as I did in my email to Dragonfly Florist. I hope this review is helpful to others in avoiding costly, disappointing floral experiences in Healdsburg, California.

Clean well maintained shop with friendly employees, but I feel like the name is quite misleading. I…read moredidn't see much of anything here that was truly unusual or rare. Their inventory is dominated by your typical cultivars of philodendrons, anthuriums, pothos, etc. Most of these plants are widely available at garden centers and other plant stores. Even the carnivorous plants and staghorn fern they had are varieties I've commonly seen elsewhere. They also carry spray painted tillandsias, a practice I dislike because it obscures the plant's natural appearance and is something I generally associate with novelty retail rather than horticulture. I visited hoping to find some unique specimens, such as uncommon orchids, metallic leaved begonias, rocklike pseudolithos, or other harder to find collector plants. Casual indoor plant owners would probably find this store adequate, but I'd recommend those looking specifically for rare or unusual plants to skip this place. Update: Soon after writing this review I got a very emotionally charged message from the owner who mentioned that my review is a "public dig" and asked "Is it your goal to damage a women owned and run small business?". It leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I leave an honest respectful review (all I did was highlight who this store would be good for!) and I get a response like that. Especially ending in her saying "I hope you have a better day than I now will have". It's all very unprofessional.

First visit to Crimson Horticultural Rarities on Piedmont Ave but a frequent visitor to their former location in the Temescal Neighborhood and bought my first air plant about 10 years ago. Floor staff friendly, provides assistance and advice. Ended up with a Swiss Cheese plant (monstera adansonii) kokedama which is the Japanese art of growing plants in a moss-covered ball which is definitely a conversation piece. Pricing on the higher side so I visit for the unique arrangement or rare plant I haven't found. Crimson Horticultural Rarities also provides full service event arrangements and indoor plant design for your place.
