I felt the quality of the food was subpar or mediocre at best. I felt I was paying solely for the atmosphere which was nice. The service was decent also. I am not sure if the prices are always that high or if it was because of fathers day, and this also may reflect on the food. Maybe these foods were not a usual item on the menu so the cooks were not familiar with them, leading to the lack of quality and flavor. It almost felt as if the foods may have been packaged foods and sorta reheated. The price was definitely too high for what we got. My Philly steak sandwich was actually pretty pathetic, store bought hoagie bun with standard frozen chipped steak and cheez wiz, $21. That was outrageous! My wife's cheeseburger was okay, had a slightly off flavor, but literally had no seasoning, had to ask for salt. My Mom's chicken salad was nearly non existent, it was a croissant with a very small amount of chicken salad for $17! My Dad's Brisket was in my opinion the worst, it was dry, grizzly and over cooked. At $27 that was very disappointing. I guess the best thing on the table were my son's "bbq ribs", but I suspect those were a prepared food and just reheated... The sides were okay, just filler to try and justify the high prices, but I don' think we would have missed them if they weren't there. The portion size was okay though, no one was hungry at the end of the meal but then again no one was very satisfied either at the end of the meal... Will I be returning to eat, NO! I may come back to have a drink, or pick some blueberries or grab a donut, but I will not recommend your location for food... In fact if it hadn't been Father's day, if this wasn't a gift for my family and in-laws, I would have sent the food back. I spent over $200 on a very basic and flavorless meal. The food was very good, and the atmosphere. Service was a bit on the slow side for the amount of other customers though. Our server was decent, but it didn't seem like we were very welcome as no one that worked there was overly friendly/bubbly with us. Which was weird because it wasn't very busy at the time. It's a fun experience to pick your own fresh blueberries. It gets warm while you pick so go in the early morning when they first open. Their bakery items are very tasty especially the blueberry muffins and scones. The blueberries are easy to pick and freeze well. They also sell blueberry bushes if you want to try your hand at growing your own. read more

This place is adorable! I had a flight of wine, truffles and the most amazing pizza EVER! The wine is sweet, but not too sweet; I prefer dry wine, but this wine was delish! Dry Blueberry and Bella Vita! The Irish Creme truffle was smooth and decadent, a great paring with the wine. And the pizza!!...brick oven pizza cooked right there at the bar! We had the Greek pizza and added sasuage, it's the best pizza seriously, and I'm not a big pizza fan. The atmosphere was so cozy and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable! I can't wait to to come back! I plan on bringing my group of girl friends some evening and hope to catch a wine and canvas night sometime this summer!!! Five stars! This was not our first time going blueberry picking, but it was our first here. It is very easy to get to (straight up 71 hang a left at exit 169 then another left over three nice sized hills to the place) and takes about an hours drive - or more depending on where you start, was an hour for us. Once you are there, parking is easy enough; you check in first at the main desk where they write down your name and how many plastic buckets you want and point you off to the patch. It is a bit hilly there but nothing difficult. They grow several varieties of blueberry here and at the time they were on their last variety. Who knew there were types of blueberries?? I assumed a blueberry was a blueberry, etc. The best part about picking here is that the bushes are all very mature and tall! No squatting and stooping and bending like the last patch we went to in PA. You pick as much as you want..walk back up to the desk where they ask you your name again, check you off, and weigh up your bounty and give you the bill. If you pick more than 4lbs. you get to keep the plastic pail and take the berries home in that (lids are 35cents extra). There is a 50cents discount for you if you bring the buckets back if you pick again. The cost per pound was about $3.49. There is a little gift shop there but we did not go in. We were thankful that they had plenty of cold drinks and water to purchase as it was warm that day. If you like blueberries and pick it yourself activities then I recommend this place. A good family outing if you have children. Time for me to get out the recipes and go blueberry wild. read more

The season just ended yesterday, for blueberries. We were here today and about a month ago. It was good today, but a month ago, WOW! It was like the blueberries were ripening as we were walking by. You could FILL a bucket in under a 1/2 hour. That's a few pounds! And, they are sweet. They have many varieties so I can't speak for them all, depends upon what's in season and ripe. We picked a whole bucket last time and 1 1/2 this time. They can be frozen. They get a little mushy, but are still good. The little restaurant is good as well. Not a lot of variety but home made and tasty. Portions reflected in the price. Not too expensive and not too much food. If you like the berry theme, most of the food has some as at least one ingredient. Certainly worth a visit. We were here last year too. It's over an hour away from home! read more

This review is about their bakery items. Blueberry donuts are mediocre. Sour cream is where it's at. The best I've had in Ohio thus far. Crisp exterior and moist interior. Quite large as well. Good deal for $1.25 a piece. Lemon blueberry scone was pretty good -- moist and good lemon flavor. Lemon blueberry bread had an odd flavor and was sparse on blueberries. The larger loaf (of the two sizes to select from) was quite small -- much smaller than your standard 9 by 5 loaf. The worst of all the bakery items in terms of taste and value. read more

I made the easy drive up from Columbus (exactly one hour drive time) with my toddler for an afternoon of berry picking. The Berry Patch has great signage and is easy to find. We parked, borrowed a bucket and starting picking. We were there late in the afternoon on Sunday-- after a busy weekend of pickers-- and there were still TONS to be picked. We had a blast!! After picking berries, we brought our bucket up to the register to get weighed. Berries are $3.47 a pound and our 1/4 bucket cost around $5.00. After picking berries, we enjoying walking around the gift shop. The actually had a lot of cute items not just kitchy, country stuff you often find at roadside stores. Highly, highly recommend. This is about the winery and restaurant, not the store or the cafe. We waited over an hour for our food and the waitress was not attentive at all and wouldn't make eye contact. We came to our table maybe three times in an hour and a half. The pizza was pretty good but make sure you have plenty of time if you go to the winery. They burnt our pizza the first time and she didn't even tell us so we had to wait even longer for our pizza because they only can fit two pizzas in the oven at a time. My sister and I brought our mom here for lunch and shopping to celebrate her 75th b-day. I called in advance to make a reservation. When we showed up, there was a table decorated with a Happy Birthday sign, and the server brought her out a special warm blueberry cobbler dessert. It was a perfect place to meet for such an occasion. We all loved the shop, which is full of unique gardening, housewares, jewelry, gourmet packaged foods, etc... This is tough...borderline four star because the owner is kind of a prick at times but he does a lot for the community. You will not taste better blueberries. Huge facility to pick your own. Really nice gift shop. Very good coffee freshly roasted. Very fair prices. A GREAT addition to Mansfield/Lexington. Gosh, I've enjoyed going to this local gem for years, stopped in yesterday for things to freshen up my spring kitchen garden & was thrilled to see that they have renovated the shop and opened a lovely cafe and gift area. It's beautifully done, rather contemporary and classic country garden at the same time. OH then I went out into the nursery area, that too is totally done over, an amazing selection of plants, wonderful choices, big well grown plants, a bit pricey but when you consider the time you save with larger plants to start with it's simply a better value. Don't miss the meals at the cafe, one of my favorite lunch stops, delicious, surprising selection, the blueberry pie is fabulous and if you need a desert for a party or church gathering, they sell them in the cold case, they are outstanding & I don't even like fruit pies! One of my favorite places in mansfield! Andrew runs the winery portion - say hi to him! Has been in their family for a long time with great ties to the community. They make the wine there and I recommend the blueberry bliss - made from the blueberries they grow! I love seeing local businesses that do something unique and fun! Great atmosphere and very reasonable prices for glasses of wine. If I lived in mansfield still I would go here all the time! From live music to painting nights, I highly recommend this place. Living in big cities across the country, i always make sure to stop by here every Christmas when I see the family! read more

This is a review for 1285 winery... We are there last night and our experience was terrible. We didn't get a chance to order drinks for at least 15 minutes after we sat down. And fyi unless you like wine they offer nothing else alcoholic to drink. Big turnoff for the guys in our party. We had to try the new pizzas they were raving about and honestly they were very poorly executed. Our waitress, who was also the owner, messed up our order and when she brought the pizzas out they were cold. I'm not exaggerating even a little. They were also extremely undercooked. The cheese hadn't even had a chance to melt together. Anyone who knew what they were doing would have never served those. After that we waited very long periods of time before our drinks were refilled and after we got the check our waters were never refilled even though we sat and talked for 20 minutes or so before we left. We won't be going back. We left there and went to another restaurant so we could fill our bellies and get some good drinks. read more
