Came here on my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Grabbed myself a rose and hazelnut latte and took a stroll through the green house to admire the beautiful plants. Amazing cafe adjacent to Quality Gardens and Landscaping!! We've had breakfast and lunch and also snacks at this cozy little cafe and its been consistently good!! The sandwiches are delicious!! The salads look wonderful (my dining partner had a great salad for lunch and enjoyed) and their dessert items with coffee and tea are very satisfying!! We went to Bloom Cafe yesterday for brunch and it was amazing! You order at the counter and can choose where you sit - either the little room next door or in the greenhouse. Our drinks and food were ready quickly and were hot and fresh. I got the breakfast plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheesy hashbrown casserole, and toast. The fresh jam for the toast was an added bonus! I also got an iced mocha which was delicious. We chose to eat in the greenhouse and it got a little warm, but was a great atmosphere nonetheless. We ended up buying some cookies to go - and even a plant and a flower pot! I would love to come back when the weather is warmer and sit outside (and try some of the delicious looking breakfast sandwiches on a croissant!). read more

I ordered an egg sandwich on croissant and a latte. The latte was decent, nothing special. The egg sandwich was good too. My only complaint about the sandwich, it was a tad bit on the greasy side. I think from the cheese and buttery croissant made it a little bit greasier than I'd like first thing in the morning. Would stop at Bloom again next time I'm in the area. Bloom Cafe is the cutest little coffee shop in Valencia, PA. I love the open, airy, bright feel and the fact that it's right next to a quaint greenhouse. You can do all your flower shopping while also enjoying a great cup of coffee. The atmosphere of the coffee shop is just so inviting - there are large windows all along the front of the shop which make it nice and bright, and there is a good variety of seating whether you come alone or with a larger group. I've tried the regular mocha here as well as the peppermint mocha; both were delicious. I also tasted a few of the bakery items, the most memorable of which was a vanilla bean cookie. They have some local treats for sale here like Red Ribbon soda, which I appreciate. The ice cream is locally made, and I'm looking forward to trying it at my next visit. I will say that this is not the best coffee I've had in the Pittsburgh area, but the coffee combined with the ambiance of the place brings it up to 5 stars for me. Love the ambiance, local shopping, and healthy menu here! Unfortunately the customer service leaves a bit to be desired, but if they would focus on this I think it could make a world of a difference! As a fellow local business owner, it seems like some simple opportunities for staff education. For example, I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and a specialty drink. I asked if the sandwich could be toasted (I'm pregnant, can't eat cold meats) and they told me no problem. Cashier Gave me a tabletop number and told me to go outside to find a table and that my order would be delivered to me. My sandwich came out a short while later, but was cold. When I asked the server, she abruptly told me it wasn't possible to heat it up and walked away- no apology or offer of an alternative when I explained why it was necessary. I walked back inside to the cashier and asked if it could be microwaved, which she did. I also never received my drink- apparently those aren't delivered to your table, you have to come back inside to get it. By the time I realized this, I had finished my meal and the drink was watered down from sitting at the counter inside. Nothing that is the end of the world, but some simple kindness, clear communication, and training would go a long way to make an exceptional experience and a loyal customer... especially at a spot where a tip is prompted (and given!) upon your initial order and payment, but you bus your own tables. read more

I can't believe I've lived less than 5 minutes from this gem for 2 years and today was my 1st visit. This place is a gem, and it's truly a neighborhood cafe. The menu is awesome-you can go simple like I did with an egg, ham & cheese breakfast sandwich, which was delicious!!
