Chicken biscuits

Delicious breakfast at the farmers market! The fried chicken pieces are generously sized and the biscuits are fluffy yet rich and hearty. Lots of sauce options. Great quick breakfast.

I've been here twice now and both times have been amazing. The biscuits themselves are mouthwatering- so buttery and fluffy and a GOOD portion size. Their sandwiches are very creative and tasty; they have a great menu! Every time I go to the POHO farmers market I find myself craving this truck because they were there one time! My most recent visit I got just a plain biscuit with jam just to see more of what their biscuit itself tastes like and it was phenomenal. Even the jam was quality! The hot honey fried chicken sandwich takes the cake. It is a great combination of flavors and not too messy or crazy, just plain delicious! This is really such a simple nice concept that I can get behind. The owner is also such a sweet, down to earth guy. Awesome business! I really wish this place would open a little storefront because I am a biscuit fanatic!

The hot honey fried chicken sandwich from Biscuit shed is easily the best thing I ate while in Charleston, and one of the best things I've eaten all year. For the price ands an incredibly good sized biscuit with an even bigger sized piece of friend chicken. Topped with their mix of ranch, sriracha honey and cheddar, this creation was so satisfying in ways I honestly dont often run into. They do biscuits very well where I'm from, but this is probably the best biscuit I've had in years. It was massive, fluffy, butter, greasy and so filling. My wife got their bacon, egg and cheese and loved it but she did wish she got the hot honey chicken biscuit. Their hash browns made for a good side and they will also put them on top of the biscuit if you want. The staff was super friendly and even with a long line at the farmers market our order came up very quick. Seriously, dont sleep on this place. A must hit place if you are at the Charleston farmers market.

It's no debate. Best biscuit in Charleston and haven't met a biscuit I like better anywhere! Went with a chicken, egg, cheese and jam (mango habanero). Only reason I didn't devour this before a picture was because it was so fresh and hot. This sandwich dwarfs the competition in flavor, quality and SHEER SIZE. WOW Served with the brightest smile. You cannot start your day better than this

Amazing biscuits! They have so many options and the service is quick and delicious! I'd rather go here than any other breakfast place in town. They always are next to amazing coffee too, which is a big plus!

Long time observer and first time customer here. They were in my neighborhood and I decided it was perfect timing. I needed to walk my dog and they were at the park we sometimes frequent. So this knocked off two of my to-dos for that morning: walk the dog & eat! Everything on the menu looked delicious. I was indecisive for a bit and decided to just put my foot down and pick something. So I picked out the Hot Honey biscuit. The person that took my order was very polite. He noticed I had my doggie with me and had a gut feeling I'd take her for a walk, so he told me the order should be ready by the time I come back around... and just moments after my dog and I came back, the order was ready. I took the Hot Honey back home and it was sooo good! I wanted to finish the whole thing, but the mom in me decided to cut 1/3 of it to share with my son (my foodie buddy)... Just because I felt guilty for not getting him one, even though he had already had a full breakfast beforehand. He agreed, it was good! I'll be back the next time you're in my area.

This is a food truck. So it's an outdoor environment. The service here is amazing. Super friendly staff. I could not decide what I wanted. The staff helped me make a great decision with the southern chick. That was amazing. If you out and about and see this truck you have to stop. Can't wait to the next time I see them.

When a menu offers a wrap as an alternative, it is not usually warm and stretchy and wrapped in foil like the one at Biscuit Shed. Honestly, I think they should highlight this option more than they do. As I said in my previous review, I am not too big of a fan of their biscuits. But I am now a HUGE fan of their wrap. I had the Fresh Hippie- eggs, avocado, sweet potato, cheese, pickled shallots, and "Shed Sauce" it came warm and yummy. The shed sauce has a perfect kick to complement the egg and avocado. Next time I'm gonna try the Alan's Pick in a wrap with grilled chicken instead of fried. While I'm being high maintenance I might ask for it with Shed Sauce- though I may want to try the Chipotle mayo my first go around :) ALSO- the truck has a QR code on the side to leave a google review- does Yelp offer that too...?

We were quoted about 25 minutes for the wait. The hostess took my phone number down and said she would text me to let me know when our table was ready. Since this location is in downtown Charleston, it was easy to wander around outside and keep ourselves entertained until I got the text that our table was about to be ready and we had 10 minutes to check in. Once I checked in, we were seated immediately and told to scan the QR code at the table to see the menu. A few minutes later, our server came by and asked if we wanted coffee or other drinks. After she came back with drinks, she took our order. I got the cornmeal pancakes. They are made of cornmeal so they had a different taste than what I was used to with pancakes. It wasn't a bad taste. They tasted like a combo of sweet, but also savory. They also felt very light so I didn't feel overstuffed after eating them. Because of how busy they are, they got us in and out in less than 40 minutes. There are signs at the table to not stay longer than 90 minutes, but this was no problem here. Just something to keep in mind to not hang around if you're done with your meal and you see a giant wait outside. As we were leaving, other people were being quoted about a 45+ minute wait. Since it's in downtown Charleston, there is no dedicated parking lot. However, there is street parking available nearby. As someone that cannot parallel park, I went the safe route and parked in a parking garage that was close by. I paid $4 for that. Overall, great breakfast place and quick service!

The food is good and service is a bit slow but nothing that stands out as an exceptional experience. Some friendly lunch menu suggestions: The "hands" (sandwiches/burgers) options are all meat, not a single option without meat. Come on guys. One non-meat sandwich option would be nice. The "forks" (entrees) section price range of $15-21 is fine, but maybe toss in a few smaller portion entrees for $12? Some diners want to go big with lunch, while others may prefer a lighter bite and conversation. Two good candidates for price adjustments might be the avocado toast ($15) and the soup ($16). Perhaps the avocado toast is generous and totally amazing, but $15 for avocado toast? Not something diners see often. My wife ordered the soup. It was delicious, but came in a half-full, normal-sized bowl with one piece of focaccia. We noticed another diner get the soup with two pieces of focaccia. Either way, $16 for soup is rather uncommon. Still, overall, you guys are doing a great job. Keep up the good work!

We went to Lillians for lunch. So I am reviewing their lunch options (not breakfast or brunch)…read more I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. It feels very homey. The little market at the entrance is a great place to look around if you have to wait for a table. There are tables downstairs and upstairs, with an upstairs bar, as well as a rooftop seating area. So, overall, the place is great in terms of seating options. And the staff was very helpful. The menu however left me a bit disappointed on a couple of fronts. First, there really isn't much in terms of vegetarian options. Second, the prices are about $6-10 too much in some cases. For instance, I got the vegan butternut squash soup--it was $16 for just a cup of soup with one piece of cold focaccia. I've never paid $16 for a cup of soup. Never. Ever. For me, it should have been $8-10 based on size alone. Maybe $12 if it were a bowl...but it wasn't. It was a cup. It also tasted like vinegar. In hindsight, I should have sent it back...but I didn't want to be "one of those people". Next, their sandwiches are between $17-$21. That's just a lot for a sandwich no matter how you look at it. It just seems like there should be a couple of lunch option that are #1-Vegetarian and #2--in a lower price range. Oftentimes, lunch is my smallest meal of the day, and besides the soup, everything seemed too big...and too pricey to me.

Honestly, I make Creole / bbq shrimp at home and they're always MUCH better than what I got at The Darling. The service (with the exception of the lousy recommendation) was decent enough. If I ever go back, I'll probably stick with oysters on the half shell. (Sorry no pic. I actually took one that day, but subsequently deleted it because it was so bad.)
