Make Build Your Own

Yummy! Make your own salad would have cost a lot more to make on my own. Was enough to split into two. 1/2 of my salad is pictured below.

Antipasto goodness & salad bar set up

Yum! We ordered catering through ezcater and everything was so fresh and delivered right on time by very friendly delivery folks. We had a variety of things - the antipasto salad, salad bar with grilled chicken, and a few of their mini sandwiches. The bread threw me for a loop - they look like little ciabatta, but are actually soft, moist and crumbly with a little sweetness - like an oatmeal bread. Good, just not what I expected. The antipasto was great - lots of fresh meats and cheeses, and the yellow peppers they use are very tasty - not too sour or bitter like some can be. The salad greens and various ingredients were perfectly fresh and delicious, and the dressings are homemade, even the ranch. 2 thumbs up, and we'll definitely order more often - their prices are very fair.

I stopped in here as I was just going for a walk And killing sometime before my event began later that night. I just happened to try the soup the Broccoli and cheese which is good, nothing special but good. The salads seem to be a bit pricey if you order a la Cart. Looks like the best option would be to order one of the pre planned or signature salads. The service was just ok but place looked pretty clean and looked to have fresh ingredients. I would return if i were in the area just to try the salads.

Italian Sandwich

Went here for the first time after hearing my co-worker rave about the place for the last couple of weeks. Walked in and noticed it was packed so I knew we were probably off to a good start. I had already ordered my sandwich before I saw them really making the salads.. The huge variety of toppings and completed salads look awesome.. You tell them what you want to add to your salad and they load it all up in a large metal bowl. After all your toppings are added. They then chop it all up and put it in a smaller (but fully packed) bowl. Ended up ordering an Italian Sandwich.. It was pretty good.. The place is a bit pricy but I still like the concept of the place.. Next time I'm in there, I will definitely try the salad out..

After quickly reading another review here on Yelp highlighting the uniqueness of this restaurant…read morerelative to the cookie-cutter corporate food options abound, I decided to detour off I-94 on my way back to Ann Arbor and pop into Pangea Global Kitchen. To say I was "overwhelmed" would be an understatement, as I was taken COMPLETELY off guard by Deanna who, upon my entering, offered to give me a personalized tour of the deli case and menu board as well as samples of some of the fan faves. Her enthusiasm and warmth came so naturally that I asked her "Is this your place?", to which she replied "Nope, I wish!" Turns out she was moonlighting to help out family, passionate about the food being created here, and just a born natural at putting people at ease with her kind and friendly personality. I ordered the Asian Chicken Soup, the Eggplant with Lamb and a side fattoush salad, and grabbed some meat grape leaves to go. The soup had strong Pho-vibes with distinct flavors of ginger and star anise and the eggplant was tender and juicy with an unctuous filling of lamb, tomatoes, and Middle Eastern spices. The salad was super fresh, crisp and balanced with an excellent homemade dressing. Rumor has it Pangea Global Kitchen is also big on catering as well, which may come in handy in the future. BOTTOM LINE: Whatever they're putting in the food at Pangea Global Kitchen, the World needs more of it.

The chicado salad had just the right mix of avocado, chicken, tomato, and ranch, and it all came together in a way that felt super satisfying. The california chicken wrap had great flavor from the chipotle mayo and bacon, and it somehow didn't fall apart like most wraps do. Even the tomato cucumber feta side felt thoughtful. It was light and crisp without being boring. The waiting area is tiny but the wait was only about 10 minutes, and totally worth it. We ate by the lake on a calm summer Sunday and it was basically perfect. We'll definitely be back -- might even pretend we just discovered it again.

I never wanna see a small business go under, EVER! It just wasn't good, average AT BEST. Reminded me of a floppy sandwich I could get by getting some packaged lunch meat and packaged bread from the grocery store. Nothing special. Average basic sauce possibly big name bottle. I expected better. Used to taste better. Small front entrance can barely fit 6 people. Absolutely no parking. Pricey for what you get. I want better for this place, but personally I will not be back. Too many awesome other options in the area, for example: Uncle Harry's Deli, that spot is LEGIT!!! Do better Lunch Box Deli, please. Much Love, -Zach

But with this brand-new location opening in our area (along with all the buzz, protests, and controversy that came with it), I figured it deserved a fair try. I opted for the drive-thru on a very chilly morning. They offer both walk-up and drive-thru, but the cold made the choice easy. The team members taking orders outside were clearly new and still finding their footing, and I genuinely appreciated how hard they were trying. The young man who took my order had a trainer nearby, and you could tell he was a bit nervous -- but he was doing his best. Same for the young woman who handed me my food on the pickup side. I tip my hat both of them. And the food? Excellent. Whatever else people may say about the brand, Chick-fil-A has always prided itself on quality -- and it shows. Everything was fresh, hot, and prepared just right. I may not stop in often because of the higher price point, but I get it. Quality costs more, and you can taste the difference. But the biggest shout-out goes to the back-of-house crew. It must have been right at that crossover between breakfast winding down and lunch gearing up -- which, in any fast-food place, is its own special kind of stress. And in a brand-new store during opening week? Multiply that pressure by ten. I worked in fast food back in my college days, so I have a pretty good sense of what's happening behind that swinging door: the constant rush, the tight choreography, the pressure to keep every station moving while also learning new systems on the fly. Those back-of-house workers are doing some of the most important jobs in the building, and yet they're often the ones who get the least recognition. While the front-of-house team interacts with customers, the kitchen crew is back there hustling -- cooking food properly, assembling orders, keeping the place clean, restocking, troubleshooting equipment, and shifting between meal services. It's demanding work on the best day, and even harder when everything is still new. We don't see those folks, but they're the heartbeat of the operation. Without them, nothing works. And speaking as someone who has family working in the industry, I sincerely hope management recognizes how hard their back-of-house crew is working during these early weeks. A little patience and well-earned appreciation can make all the difference -- especially for the team members carrying the heaviest load. So to the team behind the scenes -- thank you. My hat goes off to you. And yes, I'll definitely be back.

The service is good, I can tell they're still getting used to things. My issue is the taste of the food compared to what I'm used to. Every time something was forgotten from the order, even something as simple as straws it was frustrating after driving away. The fries always seem to be room temperature like they've been sitting. The last time I even had a completely undercooked one. The nuggets taste good. Everything is clean and nice. I'm hoping this isn't how it's going to be at this location.

I guess policies and procedures are out the door when you're trying to make do with any staff that decided to show up. Service here is definitely worse than the product. If you place an order ahead of time, no matter how long you wait to come and get it, it will still not be ready. It makes no difference whether you use their app to order or DoorDash. At least they've always stayed consistent with wait times! I think the trick may be to just order when you get there vs ahead. Many times, people who did that were in and out before I was... As far as product goes, that's what keeps us coming back. I order the same thing almost every time, a Southwest Chicken Caesar wrap, and a Carlo's Detox smoothie - a forever fave. Classic, tried, and true... & banana free haha. I really like the zing in the dressing they use for their Southwest; it hits every time. They typically pack the wrap full too. The prices are consistent with other shops in the area, and I'll always visit since it's the closest to me. I just hope they can find decent staff that at least greets you when you walk in.
