I absolutely LOVE Sweetgreens! I appreciate their emphasis on using high-quality oils like extra-virgin olive oil and avocado oil instead of seed oils. Their salads and warm bowls feature whole-food ingredients and are sourced from local farms. Convenient parking unlike the Birmingham location and the staff does a great job getting orders correct even during busy times. My go-to's here are the Shroomami Bowl, Miso Glazed Salmon or the Hummus Crunch Bowl. All of their dressings are made in-house and the miso seasame ginger dressing is so delicious! Usually I can get 2 meals from a bowl. However, sometimes they are packed to the brim and other times less full. I miss the Ripple Fries wish they would bring back! If you are gluten free or follow a dairy free or vegan diet you cannot go wrong here. There are so many choices!! After many months, I finally decided to give this company another chance because they are close to me. I made sure only to order dishes with blackened chicken so I could be sure to avoid the raw chicken issue I had before. I had one order that was decent and tried to order again today. To my surprise, immediately after placing the order, I realized that the website had changed the order location from Troy, Michigan to some other address I didn't recognize - and which is apparently in Minnesota . I tried to cancel the order, but their "policy" is that customers are charged for an order once submitted regardless of whether they receive the order - and, apparently, regardless of whether Sweetgreen inexplicably sends the order to some location hundreds of miles away. For context, I have only ever ordered from the Troy location and have never once ordered from a different Sweetgreen location. The reason for this re-routing to Minnesota is apparently a mystery, but it's one I'll have to pay for. In any event, I am done with this company for good. If you are placing an order with them, be warned that they may "fulfill" the order hundreds of miles away, and they will still charge you for it. read more

There is no consistency when dealing with customers. I told her everything I wanted on my bowl and she did not give me Bassel charge me $.60 for the dressing that already comes with a bowl and when I mentioned it, she said that I asked for heavy olive oil oil even though she gave me the option for light, medium, and heavy. Idk the one time I say heavy, I'm charged 60 cents. Energy charged me extra for toppings when I removed other toppings and she didn't make them cancel each other out. I specifically asked for Bassel and The completely left it out. Every time with this person, I should've just walked out. I placed it online order that had an error. I immediately contacted the store only to discover a voice response unit that will never actually connect you to the store. I tried to work with an online agent again within minutes to correct my order but was refused and said it was too late No edits are permitted to orders after they have been submitted. We loved Sweetgreen so much we came back again but to another location and I think this location was much better! I love the brightness and lightning in the restaurant. It's very welcoming plus I love when a restaurant is bright inside versus loom and doom. Lighting is everything! It seems like the people were more helpful when making the food but also we came around 2:30p (est) and not 45 mins before closing so maybe that's the reason. The lady who helped us was more helpful too; I didn't know I could get my salad tossed so I got my same sweetgreen bowl (create your own bowl) on repeat but added the ranch dressing instead and got it tossed. IT WAS EVERYTHING!!! OMG so dang tastier and delicious than the first bowl I had! We also added the ripple fries-those took 25 mins apparently and luckily we were eating in the restaurant but 25 mins for potatoes!! Nevertheless, we got them and they were just okay; they didn't even give us the sauce to go with them. Stopped in today for lunch with a co-worker. I liked the variety of salads and bowls along with the option to create your own. The service was really quick & we were there a little after noon. I ordered the chicken parm pesto salad, which sounds loaded with calories, but it was quite healthy. It was a bed of spinach, chicken, quinoa, grape tomatoes, shaved parm, & sweet green spicy and pesto dressing. I will say the portion of chicken may be on the small side for some people, for me it was fine. I'd definitely return if I was in a hurry and/or wanted something tasty & on the healthy side. Neither of these two ladies were operating with a sense of urgency. With every table open for seating, we sat at the table furthest from the door because every table was dirty as well as the floor beneath. I wouldn't normally leave a review of this degree since this is one of our go-to spots, but tonight was ridiculous. The location: Troy, MI This restaurant was refreshing. Finally a franchiase that see the power in airfrying and avacodo oil. This was my first experience and I was not only impressed with the cleanliness and the friendly service, but the food was awesome. The airfryed potatoes in avocado oil were fresh and slightly crispy. All the vegetables in my bowl were fresh and combined well with the dressings provided. Let's not forget my choice of quinoa cooked just right. Happy to see this new sweetgreen location open in Troy. I'm used to the Chicago locations, and this one was pretty similar, just with its own parking lot! If you're not familiar, the sweetgreen brand is known for healthy, organic salads and bowls with locally sourced ingredients. It's a casual set-up where you can order up at the counter or order online and pick up. The prices can be a little much (in my humble opinion) but at least it's high quality. This time around, I opted to try the Autumn Caesar salad, which comes with romaine, kale, cabbage, brussel sprouts, shaved parm, sweet potatoes, and caesar dressing (~$12). It was just ok - rounding to 4 stars because this is a new location and they're probably still learning. For example, one of my sweet potatoes was way too big and didn't cook through all the way. I was also hard pressed to find many brussel sprouts. But my order was up quickly and the inside of this location was bright and clean. I was looking for a salad since I was too lazy (well, it was late when I got home and I was tired) to pack my lunch. My yelp search led me to believe Sweet Green would be a good choice, and once again, yelp was right. I ordered the Farmhouse Ceasar. Hopefully next time they'll have the roasted sweet potatoes, today they were unavailable. I added the spicy broccoli and a boiled egg. The spicy broccoli is as described - SPICY! I should have known better because I'm a WHIMP when it comes to spicy food. Spicy-spicy, I love. Spicy-hot, no thank you. I picked off the pieces that were obviously spicy (all the red pepper flakes gave me a clue) and left the others. Besides the spice, the broccoli has some really good flavor and was neither too crunchy nor too raw, it was "just right" (in my Goldilocks voice...lol). Before now, I've only had pickled beets on my salad. Fresh ones add a great flavor and a nice crunch. I'm a fan! They use greenhouse/English cucumbers, and I wish they had left the seeds in, but the salad does look a little fancier with de-seeded cukes :-) The kale is cut into thin strips which makes it much more enjoyable to eat.
