So so good. We split a butter chicken, had majidra and sampled a signature musakhan. I'd eat this everyday if it made sense

Welcome!

Today, I ordered buttered chicken, pita chips, and baklava. The buttered chicken had a slightly sweet taste. I wasn't expecting it. The naan was fresh. The chips were garlicky, and the dessert was perfect!

Wow wow wow! From the moment we stepped in til the moment we left our experience at Pangea Global Kitchen was a 20/10! First and foremost the gentleman with locs who was working had by far the best customer service I have ever experienced. You can tell he takes such pride in Pangea and the food that they make. Immediately we were greeted so warmly and kindly and were offered free samples of their lasagna and falafel. The falafel was a 10/10 and my husband (who ONLY likes my mom's lasagna) was immediately in love with their lasagna. That is the only lasagna outside of my mom's that he has ever liked. In fact- his face lit up he LOVED it! He ordered a chicken shawarma and I ordered their falafel wrap. My falafel wrap was FULL and so was his chicken shawarma. They are so generous with their portions! My husband gave the chicken shawarma a 9/10 and I give my falafel wrap a 10/10. So so good. We also got a tub of their garlic sauce and it was by far the best garlic sauce I've ever had in my life. It's genuinely so good. It's got the perfect amount of sharpness from the garlic while remaining balanced in other flavor with the perfect consistency. We were so full when we were finished eating.... But my husband just couldn't stop thinking about their lasagna. So we left for a couple of hours and ran some errands and talked about the lasagna the entire time we were gone. We decided we couldn't wait so we made our way back to Pangea and ordered 2 lasagnas to go home with! They came with a beautiful salad as well. I have to say the portion size of the lasagna is unbelievable. It is SOOOO generous!!! A huge huge huge slice of lasagna is what they give you. Anyone reading this review- please please please go to Pangea Global Kitchen the next time you're in the area. We live almost an hour away and are already planning our next visit - just to eat their food.

One of each flavor pie (meat, spinach, and zaatar), baba ganoush, and amazing tomato kibbeh

Tried this for the first time, and we were blown away! Everyone was so polite and friendly and very informative about the dishes. The food was excellent, amazing flavors. They even accommodated us sitting down inside though there's no lunch tables. Can't wait to go back!

Indian Butter Chicken Shawarma sandwich

Indian Butter Chicken Shawarma sandwich was excellent! Such amazing flavor. Service was great! Will be back soon!

Tried for the first time tonight. It was amazing! The mushroom soup was the best I've ever had and perfect comfort food for this cold night. Hummus was fantastic and I usually get it from Dearborn but not anymore now that this is close by. And lastly the chicken Caesar wrap was a perfect balance of flavor and texture. Can't wait to go back for more

Got 3 lentil soup and a Chana masala, medium spicy. Didn't order too much since they seem rather slow getting orders out and it's well after 8PM. No need to eat too much food after all. $24.35 The lentil soup is good. Has some onions, good flavor. Scalding hot. Their medium spicy hot was rather hot. It's more like spicy+. It was too spicy for me. My husband had to eat it up. He has a much higher spice tolerance. Can't imagine what spicy is like here then. At least I was able to eat the lentil soup. Service after a good wait was so-so. Didn't really check on us and had to wait for someone to come out from the kitchen area to get our bill.

It's not what you'd expect from the outside. The food was good and fresh. The butter chicken was amazing. I love the fresh naan. The tandoori mixed grill was good, but the chicken legs were so small and skinny, I have to wonder what kind of chicken they came from. Seriously not like any chicken leg I've ever seen. I love that the hot plate was delivered smoking hot, but things were charred almost to the point we wish we would've moved everything around a minute sooner. It dried a couple things out. The staff was kind and helpful, giving us a list of things they recommend we try next time. We'll definitely go again!

There was a buy 2 .eat for a discounted price. I asked which meals since part of board which was sitting on floor was covered by another sign I ordered 2 non " Special meals. She asked if garlic bread was wanted yes... Did we want to drink something "Yes" we do grabbed a soda I asked for a cup to share the soda ( should not be drinking soda. She opened a bag with the gloved hands that had taken money from others and handed the cups with fingers inside cups ( that was disgusting) When seated to wait for food ( they do bring it to table), I noted plastic plates and plastic ware were given to customers across the way. Their food was brought to them in take away boxes. I don't like eating in plastics at a restaurant. We had the food topped and brought it home I had the Butter chicken, it had some flavor not enough to order again. The goat dish Curry Goat-- had bones (no flavor) None Perhaps I wanted a Burst of flavor that was to sing about. Perhaps because the goat dish was prepared "mild" heat would have given flavor Other restaurants in the area do serve on real dishes The setting was plain that was ok its in a College area. No smiles no greetings oh well. EDIT I just read other reviews the negative ones stated the same things I noted

I get that I'm older, and probably not the clientele they are looking for, but they have never ever been attentive, even when like yesterday I was the only one sitting at the bar. They genuinely make me feel like they don't want me on there and am more of a nuisance to them. Fooswise, I have can't really say anything great about it. It's pretty basic, you can get better Indian food from so many other places in the metro area. I was hoping that their menu might be more adventurous and interesting but it was pretty run of the mill. It's not bad food by any means, but it's not going to impress you either. As far as their cocktail menu goes, I don't think they have a true cocktail lead, the drinks range from basic and uninspired to kind of gross. Being from Kerala I was interested in the Kerala Mule, and boy did I regret it. Either they don't like South Indians and purposely made it terrible or they need to taste their drinks before putting it on the menu. The more standard drinks were very well made. Aesthetically this is a beautiful spot. They really brought the colors and the design. The DJ stand being an old Indian motorcycle is a great touch. The pool table in the center of the restaurant is lovely as is the colorful umbrellas that adorn the ceiling. Visually an eye catching spectacle that really heightens the experience. At night this turns into more of a club feel, the dark lighting and the DJ can make it a fun night out. Bonus point for having an old Aishwarya Rai movie on the big screen. So while I might not specifically come for the food, I would come and have a more classic cocktail or beer and either start or end my night here, assuming I wasn't ignored the whole time.
