We moved to Georgetown this weekend, and were looking to pick up some lunch which is what brought me to Big Cafe. I love that they have vegetarian options. The man who took my order over the phone was very helpful and nice. My order: grilled cheese with poblano pepper soup and zoodles with a side salad. It was nice to have some healthy veggies in my food. The grilled cheese is probably one of the best that I've ever had. I prob wouldn't order the zoodles and poblano soup again. They were good but do not compare to the grilled cheese. They also have a tomato basil soup which is what I would try next time! read more

Reviews and menu intriqued me. Quit looking for other places for brunch when I learned the mission of their store and cafe. Their mission touches personal concerns for the future of friends' children. The gift store had the variety and quality of any high end boutique. Everything was a good value and of good quality. Items could be found for whimsy, romance, gifts and home decore. The food.... oh heavens is it good and plentiful. Savory and rich without being over done in any fashion. I cannot wait to enjoy it again. Service attentive but not invasive. Certain beverages self serve. They take pride in presentation which added to the experience. Thank-you! read more

This place is phenomenal! The food was fresh and delicious! My boss and I split a chicken sandwich and cranky turkey sandwich. I also had the cookie butter latte, amazing. We sit outside which was perfect my boss came from snowy Canada, sitting outside in 70 degree Texas weather, was just what the doctor order. The waitress was attentive and told us, everything about our order was made to order, not pre packaged. I will be back with my bestie for Saturday brunch, very soon! read more

Popped in with the Mrs for breakfast after reading about this place on Yelp. A small but fabulous menu. Food is served beautifully and tastes fantastic. Cozy yet beautiful surroundings. We had lunch there today after taking the tour. We each had a sandwich that came with a side of soup. I had a ham, havarti cheese with orange marmalade. It was delicious. My wife had a turkey, bacon, with a cranberry spread that was also amazing. read more

Love this place! Big Cafe is run by disadvantaged adults who reside at Brookdale Resident Center next door and Volunteers. Excellent, healthy food, & hand-made gifts for sale in the Gift Shop. In addition, there is also a Plant Nursery next door, selling small garden plants. The food is mostly farm-to-table quiches, soups, sandwiches, fruits presented by Volunteer counter staff at a reasonably average price. Happy, friendly staff of volunteers run this place. The whole set-up of Big Cafe is very organized, designed to help as a Charity for the residents next door. Give them a shot-- help humanity-- & enjoy their great, healthy food! I called them at 7:50 am asking if they opened at 8:00 they said yes our party of 6 stood waiting for them to open but they did not open so by 8:15 we went down the street and found the most amazing food . We will not go back to try The Big Letdown Cafe ! read more

I should have taken a picture! My wife and I were returning from the autoshop and de idea to stop somewhere for a quick breakfast. Googled and found this gem of a place. As we stepped inside, I was very skeptical and asked to see a menu before they sat us down. The place seems like a miniature cracker barrel. I saw full breakfasts and de idea to stay. Best decision of the day! Although seating was a little tight. The place was inviting, people were wonderful, and their cause is humbling. All their tips are donated to special needs children educational program. Well, now the good stuff! I ordered the Taco Breakfast, thinking it would be something small and quick to eat. My wife ordered the Baco, egg, and cheese croissant, thinking the same. She could eat the entire meal, and my tacos were standard size tacos. The meal was one of the best breakfasts we've had. All breakfastvare served with a small fruit bowl. I will continue to visit The Big Cafe every time I am in thebarea for breakfast. read more

Really good breakfasts and lunches. Try the Green Eggs and Ham or the BIG Grilled cheese. The soups are great, the coffee is delicious and the pie? Oh my! BIG provides a living and working space for special needs adults and sells some of their work in the adjoining shop. All profits go directly to BIG's mission so you are dining and shopping with a purpose. read more

A cute place with a heart. You walk through the shop to get to the cafe that's connected to it. The decor of the whole place is warm and pleasant. Menu prices are on par with nearby places but all tips go to a scholarship for those with special needs. The food portion is a bit smaller than what my very hungry stomach craved but would be just right for those who eat light. For a good cause, I say give this place a try. You just might find something you like while you're at it. read more

Great little diner in town that I wanted to check out with a gift shop attached and greenhouse. I love that it's family operated and they love to serve the community. Coffee was ok, not what we were looking for. Limited menu but fresh ingredients. I wanted to go there to support them bc off their story and why they started the café. That touched my heart. Wow!!!! Loved this place, let me first start by saying that they have a super cute shop that you walk in before heading to the dinning area. You order your food at the register and can sit anywhere you like. They also do reservations as they had some tables reserved. It's not a huge place but can fit quite a few tables. I had the green eggs and ham which was amazing. I also had a cappuccino and it was one of the best I have had in a long time. The store itself has some great gifts and super cute baby items. The restrooms are very clean and the staff is all very nice. I will definitely be back the next time I am in the area. read more
