Buttered Biscuit - day one -newer location. Having been in the area before we decided to go back to…read morewhat we thought was the original buttered biscuit. Found that they had added this new locale. Honestly, it was a pleasant experience because of the dedicated/large, larger parking area, which made for easy entrance. Same wonderful biscuits, same wonderful breakfast only in a larger setting. This time, we tried their beignets, which were fabulous - having observed neighboring tables ordering the same we asked for the sauce on the side, which I think was a big plus because it allowed you to apply sauce to your liking! The raspberry sauce is made in house and was amazing. Our server was super sweet and suggested that should we come back again we needed to try the beignets with their lemon sauce. Their homemade butter was also a big plus and it was very difficult to make a choice from their great menu. Highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast/brunch anytime!

Further the burrito was mostly potato and barely any sausage. Guessing they should change the name to "Don't Comeback Sauce". Diminishing quality and upcharges......no thanks, think I will pass.

This is an out of the way gem…read more You almost have to know where this place is to go. You can't see it from the road (as they are on the side of a shopping center) and the signage at the road is pretty bleak. It's the kind of place the locals go to have coffee in the morning and sit for a while. We had breakfast and were happy with our meals. The waffle maybe was one of the crispiest and best I've had. I wish they had real butter and not tubs of whipped margarine, but I ate it anyway. Eggs, bacon and sausage were perfect. Service was prompt and friendly and for a packed weekend morning they were well staffed. If you want fancy skip this place. I'm looking forward to trying lunch and maybe treating myself to a slice of one of those amazing looking pies.

Yes we're in at 6pm on a Friday but half the tables are empty and the bar from the photos is empty. So not a too busy issue. We didn't like how the salads, then appetizers, then food all delivered to the table within 3 minutes of each other. Not cool. The worst part of the dinner was those lousy bagged loaded French fries. Boo The rest of the meal was Good. The chef likes mushrooms as much as I do, on everything. My salisbury steak was generally cooked well but lacked the traditional gravy on top. Without the gravy it was just a cooked burger. My wife enjoyed her smothered chicken and I enjoyed the mushrooms that were on top of hers. And Mother enjoyed her catfish dinner. Her favorite part of the dish was the garlic bread. We both ordered happy hour drinks that we ended up paying full price for. The drinks were small but very tasty! My overall opinion was good, better than an OK 3 star. But it was nothing personally I want to go back for. Solid 4 star.

We happened to be at a doctor's appointment nearby and got excellent news so we thought we would treat ourselves. The biscuits were VERY good and the gravy was also (for a restaurant.) The regular coffee is not good for a breakfast place, so that was not a good sign. It tasted bitter and like dirt? Hard to explain. Even the orangey thick clunky cheap cup (pic) was off putting. Maybe just my opinion ...but if a small change can help? [Thin lip white ceramic] I ordered biscuits and gravy meal which comes with eggs. I ordered eggs over easy ["easy" to me means unbroken wet yolk but thoroughly cooked white]. I wanted to use the biscuit to soak up the yellow of the egg, and when I broke the orange, the whites from the eggs were clear and uncooked. I RARELY send things back to the kitchen, but I felt that the eggs were inedible so the waitress offered to bring me new eggs. I re-ordered scrambled and when she brought the plate back, she proceeded to tell me that those over easy eggs I sent back were fine. By the way, the scrambled were runny-ish as well. I like raw-ish eggs(soft boiled etc.) but only when they are my own and I am handling them. We will not be returning. To me going out for breakfast is a luxury and restaurants should treat it as such.
