Travelling through the area from Australia, stumbled onto this prefect gem of a theatre and had a great night out is this tiny town. Went to the Bicknell Theater and saw The Black Panther tonight. My mom and I were looking for something to do, and we were pleasantly surprised there was a theater not too far from our hotel. It has been entirely newly renovated. But the thing I liked the most, was how friendly the owner was. I also really enjoyed the reasonable prices, and the food. You can grab a sandwich, wings, a smoothie, ice cream, popcorn. They do not have standard overpriced yucky theater food. The food was great, with tables to eat. It's a very unique small theater with only one showing. But it definitely helped make our Capitol Reef trip evening more enjoyable. read more

We stopped by this place on our way from Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef. The place is cute, and the sandwiches we ate hit the spot. We were looking for something quick and easy, as we had a lofty goal of visiting 3 National Parks in 3 days. We were in and out in under 20 minutes. It's small and cozy. Our server was extremely friendly and very accommodating. He made me feel at home despite not being anywhere close to it. They serve mostly sandwiches, ice cream, and movie theater snacks. As it was an odd hour, we were allowed to tour the movie theater. Had we more time, it would've been a lot of fun to stay and watch a movie. If you've ever traveled from park to park, you know that food joints are few and far between. We had no idea what to expect going in, but we were very happy when we left. read more

Traveling from Bryce to Capitol, we were looking for a liquor store. We came upon the Bicknell Theater and stopped in to get an ice cream. We ended up getting hot dogs, ice cream and a snickers shake and viewing the movie theater. The young man who waited on us was accommodating, friendly and helpful. Two young girls came in while we were there, patient he was, they didn't know what they wanted. We were impressed with him as well as impressed with the theater and the food they offered. Wishing we had time to watch a movie. You should visit if time allows. read more

Not only are we the smallest town with an active theater and food services (with NOT JUST POPCORN but delicious sandwiches) but we also have the best owners! The Brill family gives the best customer service you could ask for. It's worth it to go to the movie just to be greeted by their smiley faces and kind words. This theater is decorated in a trendy red, silver and black. Your order gets to you quickly. Movies are quite current. There is a fun old-time balcony! Seats are comfortable. The sound system is really good, and did I mention that the Brill's are wonderful? One more thing. If you like to be in a place that is clean, this is the place for you. I'm sure the health inspector general couldn't find anything wrong with their cooking/serving areas. Summer hours are in operation now; on weekends they even have matinees. If you are someone who likes to go to the movie by yourself, there are others here that'll do it and no one will stare at you. Lastly, I like to just stop by when I deserve an ice cream cone. That's what I usually do, or when I want to treat the grandchildren. It's amazing how good those cones taste on a hot day. I love their vanilla the best. read more
