This is the perfect example of a small town mom-and-pop type of place. Terrific hospitality and service, clean rooms and nice little touches such as the lending library filled with games and books. It's got a western theme-lots of photos of the great outdoors and wildlife. One special feature that really set this place apart is the music played throughout the lobby and hallways-it's subtle yet really sets the mood. I absolutely adore when people use sound in placemaking. While the rooms were cozy and clean, the walls are very thin. We could hear our neighbors very easily-I'm not certain they were especially loud or if their regular volume just sounded loud to us since it was late and there was little barrier to separate out the sounds. What is this place doing in the middle of nowhere? It is CHARMING. The owners AND the manager live on site and it is immaculate. Everything works, it's well furnished, and there's free coffee well into the night. No breakfast is included. The TV is Roku, so you can enter your home Netflix, Prime, or whatever accounts and watch what you normally would at home. read more

We recently stayed here in September. Very cute place. We had a lovely room with a king bed. Everything seemed newly done. We were able to travel to Capital Reef National Park and Escalante Grand Stair Case National Memorial. It is a very small town but went to the local restaurant one night and just got microwave meals for the second night. We were tired from traveling in the park and the room was very comfy. Didn't give 5 stars because no breakfast was available, but coffee was. We did buy a breakfast microwave sandwich which worked out well. Absolutely loved my stay at the Snuggle Inn. The staff was so friendly and offered recommendations for food and things to do in the local area. I would recommend to anyone traveling across the country like myself who need a comfortable and cozy nights stay. I felt very safe which was my top priority as I was only traveling with one other female friend. I did experience some noise during the night while relaxing in the room but nothing that woke me up (I am a fairly heavy sleeper). read more

I wish I could give me stars. My wife, three kids and I stayed here in the bunk house on our way to Bryce Canyon from Capitol Reef. We did the loop around Utah and stayed at several hotels along the way. The Snuggle in was the best! It felt like we were staying at our friend's house. Beds were super comfortable and the pillows were not the normal hotel flat and scratchy ones. The owners were super friendly and helpful. What a wonderful place to spend a night or 2. The owners go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The rooms were beautiful and quite. While Loa is rather out in the middle of nowhere it is close enough to Capital Reef and it was worth the drive. They do not do any type of contentinal breakfast, but coffee is always available. They have a very nice set up for eating and have a well stocked cooler with many food items to fix right there. The history of the family and the building is very interesting and the attention to detail is more than obvious. Towels were old but adequate. More importantly, NO HOT WATER. We had places to go to the next morning and we were stuck boiling hot water in the microwave to take showers, which included our kids. Was in Loa for business (believe it or not!) and stayed here on a cold February evening. Because it isn't exactly tourist season, I'm pretty sure I was the ONLY person staying in the hotel this night, which actually was quite nice. The room was decorated super nicely - not in a Marriott way, but in a homely cabin style decor. Great quilt on the bed, super soft pillows that feel like something from your home, roll-up desk and super clean surroundings. The only downside of this place was that the wireless internet had a super weak signal in my room, and didn't work. So, I wandered out to the lobby to try out there (where it was being showed as a stronger signal) and it still didn't work. But, in the end - that was GREAT. Gave me an excuse to ignore work emails and get away from life for a few hours. Laid on the sofa in the lobby and enjoyed a good book in the peace and quiet of Loa, Utah. Also -- if you're there, save yourself a trip elsewhere and eat at Toscono's which is hooked right up against the hotel. Their Chicken Pesto Lasagna BLEW MY MIND. SO GOOD. read more

This review has been loooong overdue. Over Memorial Day weekend, I was traveling across southern Utah with my husband, dad, and brother. We had been out late before getting to the Snuggle Inn and when we got there, our keys were left at our door (kinda weird but okay). When we opened our door to our room we were hit in the face with the most overpowering smell of gas. We looked around for the source of the smell and found that the gas stove had been LEFT ON. FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG. Just leaking gas into our room for hours and hours. If someone had lit a match within a 50' radius the entire place would have blown up. By this point, it was almost midnight in the middle of NOWHERE during the busiest weekend in southern Utah. Where on earth were we going to stay?? We called the owner (or whoever was in charge) and he was so rude, so unhelpful, and made absolutely no effort to help us. His idiotic response was "well did you turn off the gas?" And "well just open the door and let it air out." We waited for about 45 minutes for the room to "air out" but really we were just scrambling trying to figure out where we were going to sleep, calling every hotel within 50 miles. DO NOT STAY HERE. This place should be closed down due to health code violations, negligence, and so so much more. It's also an absolute dump on top of almost blowing up the entire town of Loa. (Don't worry we finally found a very accommodating place to stay at 1:30am) read more

FANTASTIC SERVICE! My group was left without a place to stay when our Air BNB fell through and this hosts of Snuggle Inn took us in when it was decently late at night and their prices for everything were very affordable. They went as far as to give us a tour of the different rooms we could get and provided us with extra materials like a sleeping cot without us even asking. The rooms were clean and very cozy, if something was missing we just asked the hosts and they helped us out. The hosts of this place were really the stars of the whole place and if you get the chance to stay here I would recommend it simply for their kindness and hospitality. :) read more

This is probably the worst motel I have EVER visited. Not only dos they change their rates between my phone call and arrival by over 100.00 but they have the nastiest receptionist ever.....not only was she a snob but she had the gall to ask if we were married. I suppose they do not rent to you unless you are married. We left quickly. Try Snowglow just down the road. Very friendly and helpful people, clean rooms GREAT restaurant and reasonably priced. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. First of all, since we had to arrive late, the owners left our keys in the door of each of our rooms. As women traveling alone to a new place, this was extremely unnerving and did not make us comfortable. Second, there was a hole in the wall of my room, no pillow protectors on the pillows (one of the pillows had a small blood stain on it), old and outdated towels, and the shower curtain smelled like mold. I was unable to wash my hair in the first night because there was no hair dryer and the owner would not arrive until the next day after I had to leave for business (8am). 2/3 of our rooms did not have working TVs/remotes. The Internet was spotty at best. Third, and most importantly, the owner was extremely unaccommodating when we needed our invoices to show a zero balance and to have each of our names on them (for work reimbursement purposes). He clearly didn't know how to work the computer and proceeded to insult us for needing the invoice to simply have our own name with a zero balance (this is never an issue anywhere else I have ever travelled). Even though this hotel is the closest to where we may need to go in the future, we will never stay there again. I will happily stay in a chain in Richfield and drive. read more

Subsequently tried to cancel by phone and email according to instructions by booking.com. No reply. Decided not to take the chance and went to a alternate lodge. They declared a no cancellation fee despite my (and booking.com's)attempt to contact and would not refund the charge. Maybe it's a wonderful place, but something is definitely wrong. read more

My room was clean and quaint. I chuckled at the Tube TV upon entering. I had a no issue with the wifi but I did have the misfortune of traveling through on a Monday, because it just so happens the only restaurant in town is closed all day Monday and Tuesday! Again I chuckled and grabbed something from the grocery store deli. If you are looking for a middle of nowhere hotel in Utah, You are not going to get anymore genuine than this. The owner Richard in who asked me to call him "Dick" was about the most friendly person I've met behind a counter without being annoying. I had no experience calling a Richard Dick so that was another chuckle. If I had anything bad to say about the room I would have just said the old guy who owns this place is pushing triple digits so I think this is Five star quality work for a man who lived through both World Wars.
