They had a sign that said they have no-credit check payment plans, so what a perfect place to take a vehicle that needs several repairs and it will all cost a pretty penny!?! I called to ask about the payment plan and the woman I talked to was so helpful and explained the whole program to me. She sent me a link in a text message to apply. I was approved, and then the shop got the van in the very next day. All repairs were done, and I picked it back up the next morning. The guy in the shop was amazing! He explained everything to me and answered all my questions. He even gave me very sound advice on my other vehicle. My payments ended up being very reasonable and I will have it paid off in 14 months. So easy!!!

A repair shop CANNOT hold a vehicle simply because someone refuses to sign a refusal-of-service or liability waiver. Good thing you relented. You'd have a lawsuit on your hands right now. By the way, I just got the two Pirelli tires you attempted to overcharge me on for $200 less than your outrageous quote, including all installation costs. You tried to take advantage of a woman new to GR and in need of the repair of a flat tire. But you messed with the wrong woman. Go elsewhere, people!

However, Meekhof has always been super friendly. I've had to vist them twice in the last couple of months due to an issue in my car and they fixed it pretty quickly. They provide a shuttle service within a certain area but I didn't use it. Their hours are pretty convenient (early mornings at least) and if you can't make it before close, they can give you a call and let you pay over the phone and leave your key in a secure area to pick up your car if needed. While no one ever wants to go to an auto repair shop unexpectedly, the guys at Meekhof took care of me and explained it to the best of my ability to understand. Prices were definitely fair - I got a couple quotes from local dealerships and they beat the price by a couple hundred dollars! Definitely plan on keeping these guys as my local repair shop.

When Tuffy was broken into and my keys were stolen, I didn't blame Tuffy…read more I do blame Tuffy for failing to communicate basic information, for telling me "F you" and for calling me a bitch. First, the manager, I believe his name was Gary, barked at me when I stated I didn't want to file a claim on my insurance policy since the cost to replace the key would be below my deductible and would cause my rates to go up. (Unfortunately we only had the one set of keys). He stated per their insurance company I had to - so I did. When both the police and my insurance company said to get my vehicle towed right away so that the thieves couldn't come back to steal my car, which my insurance stated would not cover if I didn't move it as I am required to mitigate known risk, I made arrangements to do so immediately. We spoke to the staff at Tuffy 3 times that morning where we advised that a tow truck would be coming to tow the vehicle to the Honda dealership to have new keys made, and all 3 times were told "ok". The tow truck arrived and the fine folks at Tuffy sent them away, as we had not yet paid the bill for the work that was done. They didn't bother to call us when this happened. I'm not an unreasonable person, and I completely understand that the bill should be paid. Never having had a situation like this I wasn't thinking about anything but getting my car out of their lot as both the police and my insurance company advised. Had the folks at Tuffy said anything about the bill the 3 times we spoke that morning I would have paid over the phone immediately. I simply didn't even think about it. The manager informed me that they likely assumed I had already paid. Ok, fair enough. They could have given me a call when the tow truck was there to advise that I needed to pay right then or they would send the truck away - and I absolutely would have paid immediately. The kicker is that when I spoke to the managers at Tuffy and explained my frustration, having made a dozen phone calls during my work day to deal with this issue between Tuffy, the police, my insurance company, and the Honda dealership, there was never an apology. The manager told me it was common sense that they wouldn't release the vehicle until the bill was paid when I asked why no one called me before sending the tow truck away - again, I simply wasn't thinking about anything other than getting my car moved, and when I told him I wouldn't be doing business there anymore told me he wasn't going to deal with me and hung up on me. Nice. When I picked up my vehicle today and again told him I wouldn't be doing business with them anymore, he told me "fuck you" TWICE, and called me a bitch. So I would recommend that you look elsewhere for your vehicle repair needs.

The man I spoke to on the phone was willing to accept payment over the phone, but told him I could just pay in the center. I went to the center to pick up the car and needed to pay with 2 credit cards - one I physically had with me and another that I did not physically have but had all of the information with me. Craig was very rude towards me and kept claiming that they can only take payment if the person is physically in the center...complete opposite of what the other person told me on the phone! Eventually I was able to persuade them to take both methods of payment. Pfieffer Lincoln, if you're going to adopt a policy that's against all other dealerships for taking payments over the home then for gods sake maintain consistency and educate your employees and make it explicitly clear when discussing repairs with your customers! Thoroughly disappointed.
