I'll first start by saying I don't have an easy head of hair. I have jet black asian hair, and I probably have enough hair for 4 people. Getting beautiful color, and the perfect texture/thinning of my hair is kinda like finding a unicorn. It's damn hard to do. I came in to see Chase and not only was he one of the kindest humans I've ever met, he is insanely talented. My hair had grown to be almost at my butt, it was LONG. And my highlights had grown out to be a bit brassy-this was completely because I have not had time to come back to get it toned. I really wanted to chop it all off, but he gave me some great advice, 'Let's cut it in stages.' Which was exactly the advice I needed today. He chopped off 7 inches or so and it looks absolutely fabulous. I've gotten over 20 compliments on it just today. I feel light and happy. It's amazing what a good cut and color can do for the soul. Giving 5 stars just isn't enough!! I am in love with my hair and all I can say is Tara is nothing short of amazing! My hair was silver a couple of years ago and yet no one could get it to be silver again. I spend hundreds of dollars and visited several different stylists (including those as Habit Salon) in the hopes of getting that color back but no one could make it happen! After my very first appointment with Tara, I left with silver locks!! She listened to what I wanted, explained every step of the coloring process, and made me feel comfortable. I can honestly say that I would not trust my hair with anyone else, especially being someone who gets the"unusual" colors! Alright. So it took a few weeks to finally get in with Brittany. And completely understandable circumstances for the delays on both our ends. But I refused to go somewhere else due to the great reviews I've been reading about her. She was absolutely worth the wait! She's such an amazing person to work with. She takes her time in making sure you are completely happy, listens to everything you want, and gives her professional advice of what works best for you. She took the time in showing and teaching me how to do a specific curl I've never been able to accomplish before my appointment. She's also so incredibly sweet and really easy to talk to. I'm so happy I stayed with my decision to see her. I highly recommend her and swear you will be in great hands. The salon itself is a cool and cozy space. All the stylists are super friendly and really are experts in hair and color. I enjoyed looking around at all the different stylists work they were doing. At one point i was facing another client who noticed I chopped all my hair off and we just laughed about it. She has a way of looking at the shape of your face, your skin coloring, listening to you and your desired outcome and determining how this could work, while advising on what she thinks would look best on you. Talked excessively, tugged on my hair during consultation constantly, over and over again, making me feel so overwhelmed and lack confidence in her ability. Said my base color needed to be lighter and made it darker than ever before. I was there for brighter highlights and Nina wanted to use 20 volume beach and said you will never brighten my blonde with that and she said go somewhere else. WTF! Horrible/awful experience.
