We went to Galloways Wine Bar which is located underneath the belted goat coffee shop. It was a nice quiet spot with live music and comfortable seating. Our server was great, would highly recommend!

Very cool village here in Fearrington Village! A little housing community with the charm of a farm and it has everything you locally need for staying within the village from a small retail clothes shop to coffee and food like this place Service is pretty slow from ordering to definitely the receiving of your food but the food is gourmet and solid and the shop below is charming Their cookies are thick and they have all sorts of gourmet local items for sale

Chicken noodle soup (with bread) and vanilla latte

Fearrington is a great place to visit and if you're walking around and need a bite to eat, this is the spot. Regardless of breakfast or lunch, the food is great. Can never go wrong with a grilled cheese and soup! They also have a separate mercantile area with a ton of specialty items. Great to look through if you need a gift for someone or even a nice bottle of wine to bring to an event (or crack open at home if that's your thing). I really wanted to like the coffee better. I ordered a vanilla latte and for some reason it tasted a bit off, maybe they used sugar free syrup? Maybe next time I'll forgo a coffee and choose from their beverage fridge.

It was our first time back since moving out of the area and I'd forgotten how much I loved this whole area. We ate lunch The Belted Goat and it was good. Although, we ordered before I saw the health rating - a 93! Yikes. It looks clean and I've eaten here before, so I ate there. It was good and fresh food. They stop serving breakfast at 11 and don't start lunch until 12. I assume it's for turnover and setting up, etc. but it's still odd. You can order earlier but it won't be ready until noon. The shop is cute and has a lot of fun and healthy foods to choose from. Of course their wine selection is phenomenal.

Food is fine. Just fine. And costs more than other similar local places. Only redeeming quality is the nice location and farm vibes

The good: beautiful space, excellent Harney & Sons tea, and outstanding scones. Unfortunately, that's where the highlights end. The milk bread used for all the sandwiches was dense, dry, and hard to swallow, which wiped out an entire tier of the service. No one came to check on us, so we had no chance to raise our concerns. A booked baby shower in the same room completely killed the ambiance, and despite noting a special birthday at reservation, it went entirely unacknowledged. Beautiful bones, but the execution made my birthday memorable for all the wrong reasons.

The service and presentation of each plate was outstanding. We had the 3 course Prix Fixe menu, and we got something different so we could try 6 things. Overall, the food was good but did not quite rise to the same level as the presentation and service. Rating by plate: - Pumpkin Squash (2 stars): It was very hard and not very warm. Do not recommend. - Pork Osso Bucco (5 stars): Best thing we had. Wish we both ordered this one so we didn't have to share. - Beef Tenderloin (4 stars): We enjoyed it, but have definitely had better for less money. - Seared Chicken Breast (3 stars): It was a rectangular piece of meat, which was unexpected. I would compare it to chicken at a wedding, but I've had better at a wedding. - NC Cheese Trio (4 stars): Large portion of cheeses with a nice variety. I wish the crackers had more variety (not all seedy). - Chocolate Soufflé (5 stars): This is their signature item and a must get! The name on the menu is more complicated than the word chocolate, lol.

The North Hills spot ( 4421 Six Forks Road in Raleigh, beside Total Wine) feels settled in the best way. Comfortable, Welcoming, Cozy. We started slowly. A wine flight. The kinds of plates you keep reaching for without realizing it. For dinner, we had the the NY Strip (North Carolina pasture-raised Angus with Diane sauce and a French onion potato gratin). And the roasted whole fish (with hazelnut gremolata, citrus beurre blanc, and confit sunchoke). Both cooked to perfection, nothing missing, and absolutely delicious. What stuck with us the most htough, the service. Ben and Oscar were sharp, attentive, and present without being overbearing. They made the evening feel even more incredible. The business was clean and there is also a bar inside. The restaurant has a large selection of wines and offers flights for purchase. The restaurant had some people dining in but they were not overly packed. Initially our server was pleasant and attentive. I got a blood orange sparkling water. It was ok. I ordered the whipped ricotta for an appetizer to share and a burger with fries for my entree. The whipped ricotta was ok. It would taste better with some sort of seasoning in it. My fries were served hot but needed some salt. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done but I was brought a burnt burger. I took one bite but it was too overcooked. I then requested that my server have my burger be cooked medium well so I didn't get another burnt burger. When my burger was brought back out, our server had me cut into my burger to make sure it was to my liking. The preparation was better but it was bland and tasted like there wasn't any seasoning on it. After this our server wasn't as attentive anymore. For dessert we got the donuts. They were served warm and I enjoyed them with the cherry sauce. I did not like the chocolate sauce that was served with the donuts.

The place is quite small, with about five tables, and maybe 12 seats at the bar. We sat at the bar as we only wanted drinks and snack. Christian, the bartender, greeted us right away and brought food and drink menus. He explained the specials and took our drink orders. My companion found an interesting Greek white wine, and I asked for a boulevardier, my go-to cocktail for a new place. The wine was to her liking, and the cocktail was about the best example I've had in recent memory. Christian used Woodford Reserve bourbon and Campari rather than Aperol so it had a slightly less bitter taste and was a lovely auburn color. The food menu was very interesting, with lots of items we've never tried. We ordered caesar salad with anchovies, green beans in garlic-soup sauce, panella (a chick-pea and cream cheese dish), and seasoned French fries. It was all yummy and delivered together. The service we got really couldn't have been much better: attentive without hovering. The food and drink quality was outstanding, and we thought the prices were very reasonable for what we got. In short, thanks Christian, and we'll be back.

The thing that bothered us the most was that it wasn't hidden and the other workers saw her doing it including the chef/manager or owner. Extremely Disappointed - Would Not Return I rarely leave reviews, but our experience at The Beagle in Pittsboro was truly upsetting. The service was the worst we've encountered in a long time. My mom waited over an hour for a drink she ordered, and when she politely asked to cancel the cocktail and just get a beer instead, the young blonde waitress shockingly called her a "bitch" and refused to continue serving us. We were stunned--not only by the unprofessionalism, but by the complete lack of accountability from anyone else working there. No manager stepped in. No apology was offered. As for the food: it was mediocre at best. Small portions, bland flavors, and certainly not worth the prices they charge. Absolutely unacceptable service, and sadly, nothing about the food made up for it. We won't be back--and we suggest others think twice before dining here.
