I have had the rosemary and honey goat cheese and it is such a rich spread for bread. I also highly recommend the cow blue cheese and it pairs perfectly with red wine and fig spread. The cheese is sold by weight and you will spend about $5-$8 per serving. Last weekend the husband of the cheese maker was selling the cheese and he was hilarious. Definitely check them out while at the WWFM.

When my parents from Napa Valley CA came to visit they were completely blown away at how incredibly decadent, mouth watering and FANTASTIC the Hillsborough Cheese Company Cheeses were. I purchased 4 different types for them to savor and while they loved them ALL they completely loved & devoured the Camembert. So quickly so, that I had to return the next day to Weaver Street Market (where they sell it among a few other places) and buy some more. I cannot say enough about how this fabulous and smart small cheese company TRULY KNOWS THEIR STUFF!! Way to go Hillsborough Cheese Co. and thank you so much. I am a fan for life!

Blue Dogwood Public Market is more of a food hall and collaborative space with multiple vendors and an event space for cooking-related classes. It's so heartwarming to see ALL LOCAL vendors at this location considering the development going on in and around Franklin St with multiple chain restaurants and stores coming up every other week. I was there on the opening weekend so this place wasn't completely functional yet. But I still had a chance to look around and taste some food too. I had a gluten-free cannoli from pizzelle bakery (everything here is GF) and it was awesome! The other vendors include: *Soul Cocina *Vegan Flava Cafe *Common Bar Area * Pizzelle Bakery * Rumi Persian Cafe * Left Bank Butchery * Chocolatey Confections There's a great outdoor seating area too. Can't wait to check this place out when it's fully operational.

They did have a little salmonella scare 2 years ago but so do a lot of people. Also they caught it very quickly and addressed everything. This tastes so good it makes me proud to be a North Carolinian/American. I usually can't digest cheese but I actually tolerate Chapel Hill Creamery Cheese pretty decently. Their cheese has different proteins than most store bought cheese so it's actually easier to digest. I could go on about the taste but just having a local cheese maker who makes original quality cheeses is awesome. "Great deli-style sandwiches, from rather hidden location on Chapel Hill Rd"…read more Came by here on a Saturday. This place is REALLY hard to find... it's behind the State Farm building, but there's barely any signage from the street. (Note: some photos here in Yelp seem to be from an older location.) We actually came one Saturday, but it was unexpectedly closed, but we caught them the following one, so good to call and confirm before driving over. You walk up to a door on the back, and scan a QR code to see the menu. Then knock on/ open the door and someone will come to take your order. Then you wait outside and they bring you your sandwiches. The lady who took our order was very friendly. The kitchen was rather large, so I suspect it's used for more than just this business. We ordered two turkey subs-- the East New York (which was slightly spicy) and the Dumbo. Wait time was maybe 7-10 minutes or so. Both sandwiches came nicely wrapped, and I think total cost was a little over $20. And conveniently, they take Apple Pay. These were not your Subway or Quiznos sandwiches-- these were DELICIOUS pressed sandwiches (we got them on focaccia. I personally liked the Dumbo the best-- it had a nice mix of flavors that meshed well. The East New York was solid and had a nice spiciness, but not quite as exciting overall. Would I come back? Probably, but since there's no seating, and it's a bit awkward, maybe not the first place I'd think to try, but again, the sandwiches were REALLY good. I do think it may be excellent for catering or for getting picnic sandwiches though.

First of all, the bread is soft and has a nice bite, holds the juices of a sandwich well and was fresh. I got the Cobble Hill sandwich and the turkey was really good. Also the size is amazing for the price. When you get there, it feels like you're in the wrong place or entering in the wrong way, but you're not. I asked if this was the sandwich spot and a young man took my order and made my sandwich within 5 min. And there is enough parking behind the State Farm building to pull up and get your sandwich I can't wait to go back and try the Italian and cheesesteak sandwiches.
