Among the best and biggest selection for local craft or any beer. It has mostly local beers on tap, good for trying something new without committing to an entire pack and not drinking it. The Beer And Now is among the coolest places in Lisle. Has pretty good prices even on crafts. You can find pretty interesting beers among these. Easy to be fooled by the outside because it looks like a typical store full of beer. It has a major difference and that is you can try these before you buy it. They offer samples of any of the beers on tap. It feels more like a store than a bar. The atmosphere isn't that exciting but it's nice to be able to concentrate on the actual beer instead of what's going on around you. It's about $6 a pint and they offer lots of discounts. They have local breweries including Revolution and lots more. Good stuff to drink and look at. It doesn't have much room inside so it's not good for big groups. The prices are good on most things.

Really awesome little shop that carries smaller local beers on tap and to-go! Great tv and nice people. No food but on every table they list the restaurant options in their strip mall - Jimmy John's, sushi, and a Domino's! Will definitely be back & bring some cards to make an afternoon of it.

Updated rating to 5 stars for going above and beyond to treat their patrons right. Reasonable, understanding, accommodating. Simply a pleasant experience every time & well run business

I just picked up from The Beer and Now. Ordering was super easy on their website. I got a text message when my order was ready for pick up. I didn't even have to leave my car to get it. They put it in my trunk for me. I love that they sell by the can, and that they have ciders too. Now I can try different things without committing to a 6 pack. https://thebeerandnow.com/ Check them out. A great, new, local business to support.

Amazing selection, great service, and you can even have a beer there. If I wasn't in such a rush, I would have definitely stayed to try some stuff...especially since I saw they had Mikerphone "Breakfast At Tiffany's". I picked up some Arrowhead selections, and it was cool to find out that the guy who designs the labels for Arrowhead(a buddy of mine) can actually donate some art to Beer And Now.

We were waiting and waiting and waiting for something like Beer and Now to open in the Lisle area and we couldn't be happier! The owners, Mary and Sean, are such wonderful people and so welcoming to everyone. We also love talking beer to Cory and the rest of the staff. They really know their beer and stock some really awesome stuff. They always have a good variety of beers on tap. We've been stopping here since they opened and always enjoy our visits. Even our (previously) non-beer loving daughter loves coming here. If you like beer, friendly people, good music and some impressive local art you'll feel right at home here.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS…read more This dive bar in Lisle is a haven for townies, which is certainly a vibe. Maple Ave Pub is, unsurprisingly, on Maple Ave just west of Route 53 in the western suburbs of Chicago. I'd estimate I've stopped here close to a dozen times, although a handful of those instances I neglected to check-in on Yelp for fear of my wife seeing it ("I thought you were coming straight home from work....") An older woman's been behind the counter seemingly every time, taking drink orders and making small talk. She's friendly--moreso with the locals than with me--and I'll occasionally get called 'hun', 'sweetie', etc, which is endearing. I got way better service from the hot tattooed barkeeps at Brauer House in Lombard, however. To be perfectly honest, I've never eaten anything here. The wings look like they might pass muster, though there's a few items that raise an eyebrow (clam chowder at a dive bar? thanks, I'll pass). Possum Pub in Melrose Park had surprisingly good food, and it was a major dive, so perhaps I ought to give the grub here a shot sometime. They have several pool tables, a Big Buck Hunter, Golden Tee, dart board, boxing machine, and pair of pinball machines; as of 6/19/24 they've got a Star Trek premium (Stern, 2013) and JAWS (Stern, 2024). In the past they had Oktoberfest (American Pinball, 2018), Fish Tales (Williams, 1992), and a stunning Circus Voltaire (Bally, 1997). Last week, the A/C wasn't working so this place was SWELTERING on one of the hottest days of the year. Normally I stick around for a couple pints and 2-3 games of pinball, but it was so toasty inside (worse than outside) I only played 1 game and skipped the beer completely. There were no fans on, either. * TL;DR * Dive bars are all well and good, but maybe it's time I found a new spot to hit up for a cheap domestic pint. Over the years I've gotten a handful of looks that can be described as quizzical at best, and dirty at worst. I've been ignored by the bartender numerous times--with cash in hand, mind you--while she's chatting away with regulars, as I'm standing there absolutely parched. I want to like Maple Ave Pub, but the feeling doesn't seem mutual. If it weren't for the pinball tables, I probably wouldn't return.

The customer service was warm, friendly, and attentive--they genuinely cared about making sure we were taken care of and enjoyed our evening. Now, the FOOD! The tacos were authentic and full of flavor, the drinks were delicious, and the Al Pastor with pineapple was absolutely AMAZING! The combination of perfectly seasoned meat and sweet pineapple was definitely a standout. During Hispanic Heritage Month, it feels even more special to celebrate and support a restaurant sharing such wonderful food, flavors, and culture with our community. Great food + great drinks + wonderful service + my husband = a perfect date night! Definitely one of Lisle's best-kept secrets. We will be back! Highly recommend!

Due to low staffing, the bar area was closed. The host was also the bartender and the server. We were offered a basket of chips and salsa and the chips were terrible. They drinks had fun names. Unfortunately, El gran agave was a miss for me.

We tried two different wines we had not had before and while good - the 9 oz pours were a little pricy - given that a bottle in the store cost less than a single glass. They both paired well with our starter shrimp dish - which was nice and grilled. My husband thought it was a tad too salty - but I didn't notice the extra salt. We shared the Pizza Pollo pizza - definitely enough to share between two people. I enjoyed it more than my husband - more so b/c I liked the toppings more. But both agreeed that the crust was nicely done. As I write this review and look at my bill - I do see a 3% hospitality fee added on - which I find unpleasant and didn't notice last night.

The Southern Mac & Cheese was probably the standout for me -- creamy, with a nice kick and crispy onions on top. Portions across the board were very generous, so it's definitely worth keeping that in mind before ordering too much. We had a really nice evening here. There's plenty of space, TVs everywhere, and the whole place has that lively sports-bar energy without feeling cramped. We were there while the IU-Northwestern game was on, so it was especially fun if you enjoy watching a game while eating with friends. The overall experience felt relaxed and easy, which makes it a good option for meeting up with a group. Between the dedicated vegetarian section, big portions, lively atmosphere, and game-day setup, it's much better for vegetarians than I expected from a traditional sports bar. And definitely save room for the skillet cookie.
