I love my kids, but I was on a date night and there were SO many kids running around and trying to cut in on pinball games. Once inside we were able to get a table, but found a better location to get drinks and food ordered at the bar. The beer I got was the Vox. It's $7 for a pint. This is a pilsner that's real smooth. She got the Midnight Rider, a sour ale. The other beer we got was the West Coast Wizard, an IPA. All were good. They have a pretty big food menu. It's about $16 for a sausage entree. You can substitute a veggie sausage. A few flavors to choose from, but most of these come with bacon. The Nurnberger Bratwurst is topped with mustard and sauerkraut. Makes sense getting that one and substituting it with the veggie sausage of course. They also often have live music. Hearing great things about it and these are true apparently. It's closed Mondays. My service dog, Cooper, officially passed his service dog certification, so we wanted to celebrate. As it turned out, we accidentally picked the perfect day, it was Goldfinger's 6th anniversary. Between the outdoor tents, live music, food trucks, and everyone enjoying themselves, the place had an incredible energy. It felt like a big block party without feeling overcrowded or chaotic. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. They made great beer recommendations, welcomed us right away, and even brought Cooper a bowl of water without us having to ask. As any dog owner knows, the quickest way to our hearts is by treating our four-legged sidekick like family. Watching Cooper happily soaking up all the attention on such a big day for him made the experience even more memorable. The beer was excellent, the atmosphere was exactly what you'd hope for from a neighborhood brewery, and the whole place just had that genuine, welcoming vibe that makes you want to come back.
