Couldn't resist stopping and seeing the new store. The new store opened in May 2025, it's down the block at 444 Hillside Ave. it's in an H Mart shopping plaza with lots of free parking in front. There is so much in this new store from gourmet foods, artistic bags, scarves, and umbrellas. Jewelry, giftware, a Christmas corner and lots of beautiful furniture. There are many empty shelves; it looks like a lot more is to come. My Portmerion dishes are gone. I found pickle ball gifts; I never leave Peter Andrew's empty handed.

The quality of its items has decayed over the years and it's no wonder why this one failed. Everything is cheaply made and breaks easily. This is really the store to go to for main furnishings, not just decorative. But they do have incredible holiday/seasonal decorations. If you certainly do the heavy lifting and bring the large items home yourself but they also contract out to a third party that you can arrange for pick up and delivery too. This store has beautiful mirrors and wall art too. It's easier to find multiple pieces of things here, unlike homegoods where you'll find only one. So things like matching chairs, wall art, mirrors, lamps that you need multiples of, this is where to go.

It took over ye old Toys R Us location in Carle Place so you know the ceilings are high. However, they have a lot of great things and if the checkout line wasn't long (everyone is so excited about this new place so they were all here), I probably would have chucked a few things in the basket to check out. Granted I just made an expensive laptop purchase so I'm grateful I didn't check out things here to give my wallet a little breather. We ordered a storage bed from Macy's, but the sales rep entered the wrong version from the start…read morewithout us knowing and never brought it up. We were the ones who eventually caught the store's mistake when reviewing the receipt, and when we did, the rep treated it very casually. Instead of taking real accountability, we were told there was only a '50/50 chance' of fixing it and that we might need to deal with a duplicate charge, essentially holding two charges at once, until the right bed was ready. A duplicate charge for a mistake that was not ours is not a solution. It is unfair and unacceptable, and now we'll have to wait at least an additional month for the correct bed to be delivered. This was not our mistake, yet the options presented still left us facing extra charges and unnecessary stress while this Macy's location avoided taking responsibility for its negligence. The way this store handled the situation showed careless customer service. They brushed off their own mistake instead of taking it seriously or being proactive, which forced us to escalate to another employee. We trusted Macy's because of its name, but this experience proved that reputation means nothing without real customer care. I wish I had looked at the Yelp reviews beforehand because it is clear my experience is not the only one like this. If you expect accountability or reliable customer service, look to another nearby furniture store in the area. Responsibility is simply not a part of how this Macy's location operates.

He started barking at other workers asking where people were and saying they were customers in the store. I walked around the store probably about 15 minutes. I stopped at the starlight couch for a good 5 to 7 minutes. No one ever approached, greeted or asked to assist. One worker was about 20 ft from me leaning on the wall. About 50 ft from that was three workers standing and just looking around. As I walked I probably saw about 8 workers in that store. Couch was poor quality anyhow I walked out. I was greeted immediately by Kevin and he asked questions offering to assist. He was very friendly and professional. I felt acknowledged and respected and given space to browse. They also have a huge storage area in the basement so you can reserve your fixtures months in advance before pickup. We made a 1/2 down payment so the price would remain the same or better when we went to pick it up. They will only charge you the current price if you don't make a down payment. So if it goes up, you're at a loss. They have a display area for the bulbs too, so you can see the level of brightness and whiteness/yellowness you're looking for. Their bulbs are all LED's now. They have a wide variety of fixtures and a wide variety of price ranges so it's easy for someone on a budget to find something suitable too. We got lucky and picked out four fixtures (two ceiling fans and two chandeliers) and bulbs prior to prices increasing the following month. When we went back to pick up the fixtures a few months later we saved several hundred dollars by having put 1/2 down. We could not be happier with how everything turned out! Happy shops!
