We were looking for a rocking recliner and travelled out to Carle Place, which is seemingly a suburban mecca of many furniture stores in a one mile radius. Of nearly ten stores, The Bedroom Source's service and selection stood out, as there was no rush or pressure and plenty of high quality curated furniture to choose from. Unlike other stores, the employees here were more consultative. We found an option we really liked and Kelly helped walk us through the process and expected delivery. She gave us great personalized service and was very communicative throughout the whole process. In the end, the recliner was delivered even sooner than original anticipated, and we are very satisfied with the quality. Even the delivery experience was positive -- I'd never seen such an upbeat delivery driver. In a world of big box stores and cheap products, The Bedroom Source is a great reminder that shopping at a local family business can give you a great product with a great experience and a great price. I would give 0 if I could. This place never delivered my bed, never called to update me about the "delays", and I had to go in person since they never would answer their phones. I was going crazy going back and forth in person to get a refund- first the machine didn't work (now I'm convinced that was not true) and when I went back in mid April, they just had a printed sign on the door saying they're closed. The sign has been up for weeks. It is a full month later. They have disappeared completely. Awful. I put a deposit down in November, it is now May. I have no bed and nor did I get back my deposit. I made a deposit on bunkbeds back in early March and understood that there would be about a 10 week lead time, but I haven't gotten any updates and none of my correspondence has been returned. I drove out from Brooklyn today to visit the showroom in person and see if I could get in contact there, and there was a typed sign on the door that said the showroom was closed. I'm updating my review to 2 stars because their customer service has communicated with me and I was finally able to get a refund. The facts remain that we purchased furniture on 11/17/25 with an expected delivery date of 1/10/26. That date came without delivery and when we reached out were told it was delayed. We kept inquiring about delivery every week and were told a range of reasons, varying from the tariffs, to weather delays, and to employees being out sick. All that could have been true but it did not resonate with us since other businesses we purchased from were able to deliver given the same challenges. We requested a refund of our delivery and set up costs of roughly $299 and they agreed to give us a refund of $100. But by 2/28/26, 7 weeks after their initial delivery estimate, we requested a full refund. After some back and forth they finally agreed to give us a full refund on 3/10/26. It is unfortunate that we had this experience. Their furniture is nice and they do try with their customer service, even if they are short staffed sometimes and may take a few days back and forth to communicate. They deal with various suppliers and if a supplier doesn't come through for them then you as a customer may be caught in delays. I suggest you read the back of the sales slip completely to understand their policies. They give themselves a pretty generous delivery time frame before you can cancel without penalty. read more

Their furniture are built to order and they aren't your typical IKEA stuff, they are custom quality furniture that will probably last a life time. My husband and I bought a new full-size bedroom set from The Bedroom Source and we couldn't be happier in our selection. Paul came to measure our space so that the furniture would fit perfectly, as our room is very small. We got delivery this past Saturday, and everything fits beautifully. He even had the backs of my bureau and dresser notched out so that they can fit flush against the wall and the baseboard radiator wouldn't be blocked. This gave us more space. The furniture is well made and very durable. We picked the platform bed and it has four drawers underneath it, and the drawers are huge so I was able to fit all of my tops in those drawers. This was all custom made for us and it was expensive, but it will last us a long time. If you are looking for quality furniture, go the The Bedroom Source. I hate writing negative reviews, but my experience with Bedroom source has been a very negative one. They offer "HIGH-END QUALITY" FURNITURE for children. Unfortunately, that is NOT TRUE. We bought a bed and a night stand for our son's bedroom 2 years ago. The wood's color coat started to peel a year later even on areas that are not expose . We called Bedroom Source and we explained to them the problem since we were within the 5-year service plan. They send the delivery man to take a look and to patch up the areas. Patching areas is not a solution since the paint is peeling all over. It is just a temporal fix. He made a report to his co-workers that was not accurate making it seem that is our son's usage that made the wood like that. What can a child do to make a an entire bed and night stand to start peeling? Its is irrational. As parents we look for was is best for our children. You pay and do not get what you pay for. Now the wood is starting to come off and they are a lot of splinters coming out. Its upsetting situation very because not we only wasted money buying cheap quality furniture for our children but the store was not helpful at all and did not accept the bed and night stand was defective and not the quality promised. Also, I agree with other reviews. they do not stick to their delivery time frame. The bed was deliver to us like 2 weeks later after the stated time frame. We did not make it an issue. When we got the bed and stand, the odor from the paint was so strong that they had to take it back so they can "air it out". How can you deliver a furniture with such a strong chemical odor for kids? It was such a inconvenience for us and yet we did not made it a problem for them and at that time our LO was 6 months. We were understanding with them. We were looking to get the same bed for our second son but now we cannot. We have to invest more money to get a replacement bed. It is not fair. Please be careful you purchase from this store. They might look like a great quality but in the long run they are not. They are cannot POOR QUALITY AND NOT SAFE FOR OUR KIDS. (PAINT IS NOT SAFE FOR KIDS. We got a profesional carpenter look at this matter and we were told that it happens when the color on the woods is rushed. We tried to solve this issue with them but at the end the management/ owners do not seemed to care. We have not got a response from them in weeks. Second time I've tried Bedroom source and the delivery service is appalling. Firstly, it never arrives within the timeframe they say, and secondly, the delivery options are really restricted. The furniture that I ordered in June is finally getting delivered at the end of August and there is no flexibility with the delivery service at all, and nobody is willing to help. Phil at The Bedroom Source went above and beyond in making sure that my girls' furniture would be there on my actual move-in day. I'm not moving until tomorrow but just wanted to give a shout to Phil and his awesomeness. The story - I can't get into my new place until late morning tomorrow and the scheduling turned out to be from 7-10am which doesn't work. The next few days were also booked. Phil refused to have my kids sleep on the floor and offered to wake up at the crack of dawn to have my furniture delivered in my driveway before I can even get there and wait for me until I could get in. As a result of his selflessness, the scheduler was able to tinker with some things and now he doesn't have to do that but 5 stars to Phil - what a wonderful man with outstanding personal customer service! Beware. They sold me a bedroom set and the salesman said it was "all solid wood." It arrived very smelly and it turns out it was made with veneers and MDF. It was made of different materials than the floor model so you would have no way of knowing. They were nice about it and offered to air it out in their warehouse but the fact remains that the salesman lied about the materials and we waited several months for furniture we ultimately didn't keep. read more

I've purchased two Matrix system loft beds from Russel at this location on separate occasions. I was extremely satisfied with the level of service and professionalism each time. Also the available options to customize each bed set. Russel was very knowledgeable and able to answer every question I had without hesitation. We needed a new bed for my son who had outgrown his toddler bed. He had his heart set on a day bed and we had picked one out from IKEA. However, we stopped into the Bedroom Source on a whim and they had a much nicer and higher quality day bed that my son instantly loved. While we were there, my daughter fell in love with the loft beds and we ended up buying her a new bed as well! Kelly was extremely helpful in answering all our questions. It took about 6 weeks to receive the beds as everything is custom, but it was so convenient to have them delivered to the rooms and fully assembled for us. I highly recommend the Bedroom Source. I've been meaning to write a rave for the Bedroom Source for a good while now; they thoroughly deserve it and your business. Mr. Kantor (Phil) took such extraordinary care of us that I'm not sure I could rate any other customer experience - in any area - higher than our experience at the Bedroom Source. Our story, briefly: we bought a lovely princess bed and trundle at the Bedroom Source for our two young daughters maybe a year and a half ago. It did not get much real use for the first year or more though; our daughters were still so small that they still preferred to bunk on a double futon on the floor by our king in the master bedroom. But we moved this past spring to a new apartment, the princess bed moved with us and into their room, and the girls began using the bed and trundle in their own bedroom together. And the princess bed, it turned out, really didn't work in the new place, neither for our girls nor for us. The corners of the pull-out trundle were quite pointy, and one or another of us kept hurting ourselves on it, even once drawing blood . Plus it was too much work to pull out and make up that trundle from scratch every day. We needed another solution. So we drove out to the Bedroom Source (we live in NYC), not expecting much would be doable -- after all, we'd gotten that bed least a year before. It hadn't been used much, but what business takes back an item you bought from it more than a year in the past? But wait. We told Phil our story, and he immediately agreed that the bed was not right for us. He agreed to take it back and to offer us 75% credit on the purchase. He urged us look around the store and see what might appeal to our girls. We found a fantastic princess-castle loft bed (yes, more princesses) that the girls loved. Phil gave us, along with that 75% credit on the return of the bed that didn't work for us, meticulous attention and care. Our daughters absolutely love their new bed, their friends think it's the coolest thing they've ever seen, and Phil made the whole thing not just possible but a pleasure. I recently ordered a bed for my daughter from Bed room source. We waited several weeks for delivery. The team that came to deliver and assemble had no idea what to do , parts were missing, pieces broken. We called the store while they were still there. The first question was "do they speak English?" We had to then leave the bed half put together until someone could come and lol at it then to wait again again for another few weeks for new parts. The whole experience was less than desirable. Even after the final install I had to call for decals to cover holes. This bed costs a lot of money and honestly didn't think I would have to deal with all this mess. I have bought4 bedroom sets from them over the years and the quality is outstanding. The oldest set is about 15 or more years old and it looks new. Never a problem with hinges, slides, etc and made of solid wood. They have semi-customizable furniture in many shades and sizes with lots of options on style. read more

They shipped to us a floor model chair. They delivered it late (it was part of a larger order which included a captain bed. They delivered the chair in one employee's car as he lives in our area (Queens). When we noticed it was a floor model (the wheels were worn out from usage), we called them. They said they would issue us a credit and will send the same employee who dropped it off to pick it up. No credit was give and no employee showed up. We spent over three and a half thousand dollars at the store on a bedroom set. Initially, the shipping was delayed for two weeks, and now we have just been told that half of the order has been damaged and will not be delivered for another 2-3 weeks. The woman didn't seem particularly apologetic nor did they seem to want to make any effort to explain what they were doing to make this right and as of right now, I still have no idea when my full order will be here. I cannot tell how wonderful the experience I had with Bedroom Source. Phil, one of the owners as it is a family run business,was extremely patient, did not rush us or be pushy to buy. He gave me,my niece & her 10yr old daughter space to pick out a twin loft bed with storage. We walked around looked & looked until we had questions.The store has so many choices to pick from their beautiful quality real wood furniture for kids & teens. And when we showed him the measurements of her small bedroom,he told us about any loft we were interested in how it would look in the room & different ideas. He gave my nieces & myself space to discuss privately what we all liked & decided to buy.. Phil showed us again how the loft storage dresser drawers and bookcase can be moved the way we preferred, and even can be removed as they are finish pieces of furniture. I forgot Paul gave us bottles of water & the little one, a bottle of apple juice when Phil was writing up the order. Water was offered when we first came in but we were not thirsty at first,it just was a nice touch to their customer service because the weather was like a 100 degrees outside. Excellent experience from start to finish. Luis was the person we dealt with on the showroom floor. He was patient and answered all of our questions thoroughly- no hard sell at all. We purchased a Matrix bunk bed with stairs for our daughters room(they love it). Expected to take 4 weeks until delivery/installation and Paul was able to move our date up a week. The delivery/installation crew were hospitable, timely, and professional. They called the day before to confirm and 30 minutes before they arrived.
