Placed a take out order around 4:30PM. Had to redial for over five minutes to get through busy signals. Ordering was easy. Pizza was ready as advised 25-35 minutes. First surprise was that the online menu is outdated, listings and prices. I purchased one large "The Beacon" and large fries. The bill was $39. The pizza was terrible. The crust was gummy at the edges and saturated under the toppings. Cheese was minimal and there were chunks of overcooked (reheated?) sausage. Overall, the pizza was greasy. Two slices were half eaten and we tossed the rest in the trash. The fries were soggy and stuck in a clump. Also greasy. Also tossed. I know what good pizza is, and this certainly wasn't. First, we chose this location for their gluten free options, not always easy to find when traveling. Although they were out of GF crust, they offered an alternative cauliflower crust, also GF. We ordered a large 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 BBQ on regular crust, absolutely perfect.... Then a small GF ranch chicken in cauliflower crust - SO good, we couldn't tell it was GF and even asked to confirm as we have celiac in the family and could have caused a lot of problems if it wasn't. Confirmed! No gluten, cooked to perfection and could barely detect cauliflower taste. Crisped up just as a regular crust and loved every bite, we all did! This business has fallen quite a bit since they opened; they went from homemade crust to a piece of cardboard. You don't have to worry about getting a partially cooked pie because it is so thin they managed to over cook the crust; it was dark brown on both sides. It was like trying to eat pizza toppings on toast. Then we have the sauce; just from the taste you can tell it is from a can. It appears that they are cutting corners every where. It's pretty sad when you have to wait more than a half for a pie made from pre-made products. And lets not forget the tables; how hard is it to wipe them down after the customer leaves. And how do you know when a company is sliding down hill? They start charging the customers for "Non Cash Adjustment (3%)". Which just so happens to be illegal in Maine. We had The Beacon cater a large event for our Business. We were having a team meeting at 6am on a Sunday with 80+ people. The Beacon was extremely helpful and flexible. They came up with ideas way beyond what I was thinking of (breakfast pizza). They included bacon, sausage, fresh muffins and fresh fruit, and the best cinnamon sticks I've ever had in my life. The scary part of catering with a new business is "will they really show?" And they were knocking on the door at 5:30 am with a truck full of food. This was an extremely successful event because everyone loved the food. The prices were reasonable. The breakfast pizza was amazing. The fruit was fresh scooped and yummy. This is - hands down - the best pizza I've ever eaten. We live in NH, but were here visiting relatives and this is the second time we've ordered from them. We ordered a bunch of pizzas for takeout this time. The steak and cheese pizza is AMAZING! It has a delicious alfredo sauce and the peppers and onions were cut tiny so they didn't take away from the pizza. They don't skimp in the shaved steak either, it's SO good. We also had a BBQ Chicken pizza which was really yummy with tangy BBQ sauce. Our kids devoured the cheese pizza. The dough is so tasty that our daughter even ate her crusts! Best pizza in the Raymond/Windham and surrounding areas! I was one of the first lucky people to try their pizza at their first pizza challenge in 2018, before they even opened! Of course they won! first time trying this restaurant. Have heard good things about it through the grapevine. Got an extra mushroom pizza and it was very good. I'd give a 4 1/2 star rating if that was possible. It will be nice when we can actually eat inside the restaurant and have the pizza hot. Lots of mushrooms and a nice soft crust. Most likely would give it a 5 star rating if that was the circumstance. First time. In the shopping mall where Family Dollar is in Raymond. Not sure how long it has been there. We tried 2 small pizzas ----hamburger and onion and sausage and pepperoni. The good---sauce nicly balanced. Toppings good and not overcooked. No cornmeal used---thank god. Staff friendly. The just ok----dough did not appear to be made in house. Held the toppings but other than that flavorless. 45 minute wait on. Friday night. Must have been take out as resturant not busy. Pizza better than Pats (find pizza consistently overcooked) and Sunset (cornmeal and sauce do not like.) Not as good as Pizza from Factory in Naples. Will try again. read more

Hit or miss here. Owners are friendly but it doesn't taste or resemble the bowling alley pizza as much as they claimed it would. It's a bit too pricy, but when you actually get a good pizza that doesn't matter. Some days you get the best pizza ever and some days it is a 3/10 at best. They are very busy but still finish your food in time, sometimes they just rush and don't pay attention to what they are doing.
