It looks unapparent from the outside, but there was a good amount of chocolate chips embedded near the center and inside of the pancakes. They provide a lot of packets of craft syrup and butter. Unfortunately, maple syrup is $2 per packet. I've also tried some of their toasted homemade muffins, which were alright. The corn muffin was a bit dry, and the blueberry muffin was a tad bit too sweet for me. I feel like I need to try some of their other dishes like omelettes or eggs benedict to fairly comment on their food quality, but I don't know if I'd come here for that when they don't appeal too much. I would say the quality is comparable to City Diner and Manhattan Diner. It had flavor just not as moist as we would expect. So listen, this is a two restaurant experience. In the morning there is a different menu. We came after 5pm. I found it good to get a large of their amazing Borscht as well, as a refreshing pallet cleanser. And just to mix things up a bit, I once slit a Pastrami Sandwich, whish was on the small side for an NYC Deli, but was delicious that it was well worth price. Other items of is their Pickled Herring Salad, their White Fish Salad, and especially their Latkes (potato pancakes).
