Sam's Special

My family and I's go to diner for 20+ years. The service is always great and super friendly. Very big menu but we usually go for breakfast. Highly recommend the Sam's special!

Fruit tart waffle and Nutella French Toast

The list of breakfast options is soooooo deliciously long. It was a tough call but the fruit tart waffle was fantas and I'd get it again in a heartbeat. The food of my companion was excellent too. He got French toast. If there's something to complain about it's the lack of coffee refills. All in all the food makes up for it. Go here. Yum.

The food was good, menu variety was plentiful, food came out fast, staff was friendly, place was clean and was a good size. Parking was plentiful and the prices were decent

Went back had eggs, homefries, French toast, iced tea and cup of chk noodle soup. All of it was astounding. This might be the best diner in north jersey. Staff was lively same w customers. Not pricey. Good good energy here. ladies and worms. We have a winner. Eat here. !!!

Love me a good, quality diner! The space is a big and the food was amazing. They have a full bar with some drinks I'll have to come back to try. Service was great. Can't wait to come back.

Delivery Order: I love Diner Food and make a point of trying new ones but this one was not a good experience. Fish and Chips had barely any seasoning, and they didn't even give any Tartar sauce. I had also ordered Chorizo Quesadilla and they too tasted just average. Maybe dining in person, it would have been better.

Greek coffee and Corn Muffin

Great waitress and service. As a mom love that their smoothies are low in sugar and have real berries-great for my kids who enjoyed drinking them in cute mugs. Also love their Greek coffee, and muffins that come as a complimentary item.

Beacon Diner Pancakes

I ordered pancakes from this diner, and I wanted my blueberries and whipped cream on the side but they wanted to charge extra price for the blueberry and extra for the whipped cream. I think they could have at least given the whipped cream with the pancakes if I ordered I side of blueberries I spent $20 just on pancakes and a side of corn beef hash. But overall, the pancakes were good.

Don't listen to these other whiney bitches about the hostess or servers. Who cares. They still have the best chicken fingers anywhere.

We got pancakes (regular and chocolate chip) and they were just alright. They were thin and floppy (not very fluffy, but they weren't dry). The chocolate chips in the chocolate chip pancakes saved the flavor, but I can imagine the plain pancakes being unappetizing/unsatisfying to eat. It looks unapparent from the outside, but there was a good amount of chocolate chips embedded near the center and inside of the pancakes. They provide a lot of packets of craft syrup and butter. Unfortunately, maple syrup is $2 per packet. I've also tried some of their toasted homemade muffins, which were alright. The corn muffin was a bit dry, and the blueberry muffin was a tad bit too sweet for me. I feel like I need to try some of their other dishes like omelettes or eggs benedict to fairly comment on their food quality, but I don't know if I'd come here for that when they don't appeal too much. I would say the quality is comparable to City Diner and Manhattan Diner. Other notes: - The handwritten check can be a little hard to discern. - We go up to the cash register to pay - They have a separate gluten-free menu

The food and drinks were great!!! This is a spot you might find in Brooklyn but SURPRISE!!! Guess what? I TOOK PICTURES!! To start, we ordered the mango mojito and a hibiscus drink. Both were nice. We asked for more sugar cane because we wanted it! (So good) HOWEVER, skip both and order the rum punch!! BABYYYYYYY it was great!!! We ended up ordering it and my cousin had TWO. Trust me, order the Rum Punch. The food was delicious! Be sure to ask for the homemade hot sauce. It is FIRE!! The food: the salt fish and ackee spring rolls were good. We ordered chicken bites and they were delicious with and without the sauce!! It was "child certified" by our little cousin. We ordered fries and asked for the tamarind / ketchup. Loved it! The Trini corn soup was devoured with barely any evidence soup was in the bowl! The jerk chicken comes out on its own as an entree. The sides are al a cart. It did not need sides as the portion was nice! The crab fried rice was delicious as was the curry vegetable fried rice. The beef lo mein was delicious. The beef was tender and not too spicy . Because it was going so well, we ordered cake: a carrot slice, and a coconut slice. The carrot cake we like better than the coconut cake. Both had icing we all loved. The carrot cake was a little different from any I have had, but it was good. The coconut cake was cold and I suspect it was the reason it was on the dry side. It had flavor just not as moist as we would expect. So listen, this is a two restaurant experience. In the morning there is a different menu. We came after 5pm. This review is for the after five "set." I will attach a menu pic. Are we coming back? Yes we will!! Friendly staff that made sure we were happy and had what we needed. Great job and I look forward to my next trip and dining here! GET THE RUM PUNCH!!!

It has only one store, which is found on Amsterdam Avenue on the Upper West Side of New York City, - and it has changed very little over the past 120+ years. Most famous for its Smoked Fish, especially its Smoked Sturgeon, Barney Greengrass has an extensive menu along this line, offering mostly cured fish items, either in sliced form, or as smoked fish salads. However there is a small list of meat sandwiches that are offered as well, making Barney Greengrass yet another great Jewish Deli in NYC that is NOT Kosher. During my numerous visit between 1976 and 1999, the service at Barney Greengrass has always been friendly and informative. It made me feel like I was a regular here, even during my fist visit. I always make sure to get one the platters, which can be any combination of three smoked fish items. Usually select the Sturgeon, the Nova, and the White Fish, which comes two Bagels. I found it good to get a large of their amazing Borscht as well, as a refreshing pallet cleanser. And just to mix things up a bit, I once slit a Pastrami Sandwich, whish was on the small side for an NYC Deli, but was delicious that it was well worth price. Other items of is their Pickled Herring Salad, their White Fish Salad, and especially their Latkes (potato pancakes). I love fish, thus Barney Greengrass has become one of my favorite Delis in America. Yum!

I got the class bagel with lox and spent almost $40. if that is what it takes to keep historic institutions around, I'll do it, just not as often as I'd like to

Garlic Parmesan pull apart bread was awesome, buttery and fresh. My steak was cooked just right along with fresh frites. My date ordered the fried chicken Caesar salad and it was a hefty serving, good enough for two to split. We visited with a party of 7 at 9pm on a Friday which just so happened to be their first night doing a burlesque show. What a fun watch! I was, however, wondering the whole time if the people outside could see. Is that allowed?? Even though we did have a resy, it still took a hot minute to get our table (whole party does have to be present before you're seated, but even then it took a while). I will say it seems like the staff is overstretched. Service was slow and so by the time we got most of our food, it was unfortunately a little too cool. Additionally, one member of my party ordered their vodka pasta, which besides being almost flavorless and cold, there was also a random potato in there (?). I wasn't too impressed with their garlic & parm bread, there could've been more garlic and it would have benefitted from them cutting it in half and adding more butter in the middle. The honey butter was good though, but that's because they plop it on top so you can control how much or how little you'd like. I do think they have a pretty decent Caesar salad. The dressing didn't scream homemade (which I didn't like) but it was overall a respectable offering. The steak frites was perfectly cooked to medium rare for me and the fries were delicious and plentiful (I didn't finish them). Like I mentioned earlier, because everything took so long to come out, it was a little cooler than I would've preferred, but I was happy with my choice. I would've loved to try their chocolate cake, but I was pretty full and the speed of service had left a bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn't completely disqualify this place, but I would recommend trying to find a less busier time to visit.
