Went here for lunch and wasn't pleased. Fries and chicken tenders were all low quality frozen foods, seafood was okay but the best thing I was served was the grilled cheese sandwiches for my kids. My wife and I are frequent flyers when it comes to the Beach Plum. The food and service is for the most part very good to excellent, but this last visit (lunch, Epping, 11/15) was very disappointing. The quantity was very good as usual but the quality was not. The problem being very greasy. When you pay good money for scallops you don't expect grease dripping out of the container and all over the food. It's not very often that I experience this here, but when it does its deflating.The fix is very easy. Greasy food means that the oil in which it is fried is not hot enough! The cook should know this, and should not be served. The purpose of my review is for the owner to correct this with his staff or his equipment. I love the Beach Plum and will continue to go there and recommend it to everyone, but please make every visit 5 stars. read more

My husband and I go here frequently, and I always get the same thing: the dinner salad with tuna salad (cheaper than the tuna roll if you get fries instead of chips, and I'm not really a seafood person). Normally, I love it. It's so much food, and the tuna salad is really great. Today, however, the lettuce had probably not seen water since it was in the ground. I could see the dirt on it, and it was so gritty that once I ate the tuna salad off of the top, I couldn't eat the rest of the salad. Yes, I told a staff person, and yes she apologized, but that was it. No offer of clean lettuce, just a "That's weird -they always wash it." It wasn't much of a dinner tonight. I kind of needed those vegetables! I won't be back for a while, but I'm sure they won't even notice -they're always so busy. read more

I have now been to the Beach Plum a few times and since the opening, the service and food continues to be as good if not better. I'm also thankful they no longer over season the fries. read more

We love the seafood and ice cream here.. everything is usually good. it's also very convenient cause it's close by in Epping.. but I can't express enough about using hair nets or hats that keep hair from flowing... went out grabbed a couple ice creams to go... got home and the first spoonful of my yogurt had a long hair in it... ended up throwing it out.. very not appetizing.... read more

As soon as I walk in we are always greeted with a very friendly smile. When placing an order the cashiers know what they are doing without any hesitation. The service is fast and the food is great. Regardless that the rest rooms can be freshened up a bit. Prices are not bad either. I would definitely return. read more

Food was good. After spending $40 and asking for our free pint of ice cream we were told it was no longer being offered. Once realizing this offer was plastered everywhere and Asking to speak to a manager, we were finally offered the free ice cream. Fried Haddock and Fried shrimp were hot and delicious. Its a lunch and quick dinner place and the food is very good. Theres ice cream and frappes and lots of sea food selections. I recommend it - not a high end dining experience - but very clean, efficient and fun to eat at. read more

Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Since day one my wife and I have enjoyed the food and staff at the location in Epping. I always get the fried whole belly clams, plentiful portion and cooked perfectly. We have also had soups, sandwiches and other entrees and everyone has been great. Now remember it is based on a beach theme so the seating is open picnic tables and you order at the counter. The food is delivered, always timely, and to date we have had no errors. Staff is also very friendly and helpful, especially the manager. Although I do not know her name, this lady runs a great restaurant and hopefully gets acknowledged for it. Please keep it up, Beach Plum is our favorite restaurant in Brickyard Square in Epping. read more

Skip the long lines of beach-side shacks and stop at the Beach Plum in Epping on your way home to central NH and points west. It's the same great food and service as other BP locations, plus the option of indoor or outdoor seating, ample parking and nearby shopping and cinema. Clean, bright; and did I mention the great food. My wife and I split a lobster roll, clam basket and cheeseburger after running a 5k. Best meal in months! Note that you order at a counter and your meal is brought to your table of choice. Fountain drinks are self-serve. So if you require a server to take and serve orders table-side, you will have to settle for another resturant. read more

We came in after a soccer tournament in the area not expecting much but we were in the mood for seafood. We ordered the fisherman's platter for husband and daughter- it was huge! The haddock was excellent, scallops were good and the tarter sauce was the best my husband has ever had. Cocktail sauce was just ok. My daughter and I got a black and white frappe and it had a great flavor and the perfect consistency-one of the best we have ever had- even down to the thick, sturdy straws! The shoestring sweet potato fries were excellent as well. The regular fries were flavored nicely with salt and pepper. The only downside was that I ordered the gluten free scallops and they gave me the regular scallops, but when I brought this to their attention, they rectified it right away. I had to wait a bit longer and my family was finished with their meals before I got mine. We were pleasantly surprised by our whole experience overall. The young worker were also very pleasant and polite. The bathroom toilet tissue was nice as well- not the one ply thin stuff you usually get at restaurants. Thank you! read more

My wife and I had lunch here for the first time the other day and were very disappointed with two issues, the first being that the one iced coffee that we ordered was very watered down, to the point that it had no flavor at all. Even a half a creamer to lighten it made it almost white. For the almost $3.00 that we paid for it, we certainly expected better. We tried to correct it with one of the girls taking orders and with a cavalier attitude, said that she'd tell the manager and never did. I finally couldn't take drinking it anymore, replaced it with your lemonade which was way too overly sweetened like drinking lemon flavored sugar syrup. The second issue was our meals. My wife ordered the haddock sandwich with cheese, the haddock itself eatable but no cheese whatsoever to be found in it. The soggy bun was not a pleasant experience either. My tuna melt would have been satisfactory, had I been able to find the melted cheese that was supposed to be a part of the 'package'. That was also disappointing to find and we doubt very much if we'll ever be back. read more

First, the benches were completely uncomfortable. Second, the clam chowder was similar in texture and taste to canned soup that hasn't been diluted. Third, the whole clams were fried in oil that was not fresh. It's one thing to eat a $2.00 hot dog on the beach and sit on a wooden bench, but a restaurant that charges $18.00 for a small order of clams should at least provide comfortable seating. Had heard about this restaurant and thought we would try it. We love seafood and usually go to the Maine coast for it. We were very disappointed!!! We each ordered clam chowder and then we split a haddock plate. The entire order was brought to our table at the same time so it was either have cold haddock or cold clam chowder. We decided to try to eat it all at the same time as neither one was real hot to begin with. The chowder was mediocre at best and the haddock was overcooked with greasy fries. Not at all what we are used to when we go to Maine. We are spoiled!! We won't be going back to the Beach Plum!! read more

Visited the Beach Plum Epping on 8/28/20 and received completely inedible lobster tail. Paid almost $30 for 4 half-dollar sized lobster tail pieces, that ended up in the trash, as they were so rubbery, they could not even be bitten off into pieces, or chewed. I immediately called the restaurant, as I placed a curbside order and ate in my car, and was told that the manager above the manager on duty that evening would have to call me back. Marketing Director, Lorraine called back the next morning, 8/29, and was extremely nasty to me, and accused me of lying about coming into the restaurant at all, stating that people pretty much call in trying to get free food. I sent Lorraine proof of purchase, and finally 3 business days later, the best compensation she offered was a gift card credit at half my order value. She yelled the entire time I interacted with her via phone, and was not professional at all. Lorraine also refused to allow me to speak with neither the general manager nor the corporate manger/owner. If I could give zero stars, I would. You will receive fresher food and better service at your local Long John Silver's--I would recommend trying there before stopping in at the Beach Plum in Epping. read more

We arrived at the Beach Plum at about 830 on a Saturday night. I didn't think to check there hours of operation because, who closes a restaurant in a busy mall plaza with a movie theater at 9pm on a Saturday night? Well, their staff of eager teens must have had better things to do as they promptly locked the doors and removed all the nozzles from the soda machine rite at 9pm. We had to ask them to put them back and also reminded them that they had several families eating in the dining room still. At 910 one of us went to the counter to purchase an ice cream to finish off the meal. The young man was told that they were closed and she could not complete the transaction. Mind you, we were in the restaurant eating still. I gave them 2 stars because the food was good. I don't think it was a good value however. Very overpriced. The service was atrocious. We have been regulars for years, first in North Hampton, now in Epping. My husband got a takeout scallop dinner recently, which is something we get regularly. Unfortunately, it had a strong taste of clams. He called back to discuss it and was told, yes everything is fried in the same oil, but it's not a problem. "I'm putting your name and a credit on a card and putting it in the safe. Just come in when you're ready for a meal". Well, a few nights ago he stopped back in and said what he was told. Guess what? No card in the safe. The cashier said she couldn't help him. Surprisingly, there was no manager on duty. He pointed out that the only way he would have known about the card in the safe is if the manager that night would have told him. Didn't matter. He wasn't getting a credit. Then he was told the manager would call him. What do you think happened? That's right, nothing. No phone call. We are very disappointed with the shoddy treatment after years of eating there. Worst lobster roll ever. Lobster was dry, no mayo, the picture on the menu looks like lobster salad, on a grilled roll. So I got mayo and put it on myself. Roll was cold and hard was told I need to tell them I wanted it hot when ordered. I said how was I suppose to know that. Was offered to have it heated and said ok but there is mayo on it and showed them and they said no problem. Then sat down to a bite and meat was hot and mayo all gelled up they must have microwaved it, gross, and apparently they make a bunch of rolls ahead of time. For $19 the meal should be good or at least what's represented on the menu. read more

It's really overpriced, and nothing all that special regarding the quality of the food. I got a bacon burger and fries, and my mom got a lobster roll. It was all very average tasting. If you're going to charge people so much for their food, you have to make it special and something of your own. Without that, you will lose sales and continue to receive low reviews. I have been going to the North Hampton Beach Plum location for years and I have been to the Portsmouth location several times. I tell anyone who will listen that the Beach Plum has, hands down, the BEST lobster rolls around! So, you can imagine my excitement when they opened a new location in Epping, much closer to my home. Several of my friends went to the new Epping location, with mixed reviews. So, I finally decided I needed to give it a try for myself. I ordered, of course, the lobster roll (10 oz.) It was filled nicely, as usual, but I found the lobster meat to be quite bland. I actually found myself adding salt! Never had to do that at the other locations. Someone in another review mentioned possibly frozen lobster meat? Not sure if that's the case, but it was definitely less flavorful. Hubby ordered the lobster seafood chowder and the fisherman's platter. He was not happy that it all came out together. Usually, you get the chowder first, then the meal otherwise the platter gets cold. The fisherman's platter was fine, no complaints, but the lobster chowder was horrible. It looked separated and tasted curdled. I brought it in and spoke to the manager to which she replied, "it always looks like that. I get complaints all the time." Really?! Wouldn't you take that as a cue that something needs to change??! She happily refunded our money for the chowder and apologized that we didn't care for it. I think in the future, I will drive a little further and go to one of the original locations. Sorry to say, but I don't see us rushing back to the Epping location any time soon. read more

We went to the Epping location of the Beach Plum and it was excellent! When we approached the counter the staff member greeted us with a smile and was both friendly and efficient while we placed our order. My wife had the haddock basket with fries and I had the clam strip basket with onion rings. The food was served quickly and cooked to perfection as usual! We love the Beach Plum and have tried multiple locations as well as different types of seafood. The food is always quality in all aspects, taste, temperature and quantity. We will be back again for a wonderful meal and if we save room dessert! Today we had room as we didn't finish our fries and rings. I had an arctic swirl which was really good but I expected it to be like a Blizzard from DQ, it's not. It was layers of soft serve ice cream with my choice of mix ins. No problem I mixed it up myself. My wife had a strawberry cheesecake frappe! Both were delicious! We finished them at home. I definitely recommend everyone go to the Beach Plum! Thanks read more

Dissapointed. Recently moved to the area and heard nothing but rave reviews...maybe we came on an off night...unfortunately we won't be back to find out. First off- expensive for what it is...many other delicious places in the area for far less. Second - the seating is awful...high benches that you have to step over to sit and not nearly enough seating for the space. But my main complaint and why we won't be back: my boyfriend and I ordered a meal a piece. Five minutes after we were able to find a seat my food came...20 (I'm not exaggerating) minutes later I was almost done and he still had no food. Went up to ask and they had no record of the order even though we were holding the reciept and my food came. They offered to make the meal but I was almost done so we requested a refund and he ate the rest of my meal...we left frustrated and still hungry and out way more money then I was comfortable with. Again - hoping it was an off night but sadly we won't be back. Proceed with caution. read more
