I was pleasantly surprised! Long line but moved very quickly! We ordered 3 lobster rolls, blooming onion thing, side of fried clams, cup of lobster chowder, and footlong hotdog for family of four. It was a ton of food!!! The lobster rolls were great - very generous serving, couldn't even finish it. My 7 year old didn't like the lobster chowder very much - hence we ordered him the giant hotdog which he proceeded to eat whole thing! The lobster chowder tasted too much like sherry and was a tad watery, I wonder if they accidentally gave us the bisque? And we didn't love the blooming onion - it didn't pull apart like it should have and was oily. However even with that we still had a very good quick seafood dinner on a hot July day! Disappointed while stopping in for an ice cream. It was very busy, not one employee behind the counter was wearing a mask. It seemed pretty disorganized. Ice cream was delicious though. Wish the pandemic was taken more seriously by the restaurant and customers as well. Anyone entering the building should be wearing a mask until they get outside. I'll stay home next time. The food is soooo good. Really really good lobster roll and the best lobster bisque I ever had. But WOW is it expensive. Today had 3, 6 oz lobster rolls, one with upgrade to fries, mozzarella sticks and 4 sodas cost a hundred dollars with tip. That is a bit much. 20$ less and this would be a 5 star review. One of my favorites during the summer time. Their lobster rolls are amazing and I love taking my family here for ice cream.

To start off, the company I was with couldn't have been worse but the staff was charming and filled in my gaps of misery. Overall the food was sub par and they should consider putting salads in bowls instead of on plates. I had a lobster roll that was made with previously frozen lobster meat. Terrible texture, lacking in flavor. They do not have the best lobster rolls. Unless this was an aberration because of the virus, I would not recommend. read more

They definitely give you your moneys worth, especially on the lobster rolls! A kiddie ice cream here is probably a medium/ large at other places. Greek salad was soo good! Very clean indoors and outdoors with really nice seating outside. You can hear live music playing from the Tuscan Kitchen located in the next lot. Restaurant is in a really nice spot!! Second time we've eaten here and second location. Food has been consistently good, prices are right place has been clean. Don't know how they do it, but the service is FAST. The quality is good - they also were willing to turn their cold mayo lobster roll into a hot buttered one (always good for us CT people). Went here because the place we normally go to was closed. The food was good and plentiful but extremely over priced. My boyfriend's lobster roll was good but nothing to write home about, he's had better. We'd probably go here in a pinch but would rather go to our other restaurant. read more

This has become one of my regular go-to spots for seafood. The food is always great, portions are a little larger here compared to other local places I've been to in the area, & this location is very convenient to get to. The atmosphere is very bright with colors that do give a summer/beach feel to the place, with picnic tables of various sizes both indoors & outdoors to sit at. The food itself is great. I tend to stick to a few favorites, but the food is always consistent every time I'm there. The fried haddock/haddock nuggets & the fried clam strips are always delicious, with the clam strips actually being a considerable portion. No fried batter filler here! Even the tartar sauce is good & flavorful, brought fresh to your table along with your meal. The chunky lobster bisque is a must, as it's very delicious & actually has sizeable chunks of lobster in it. The lobster rolls are awesome. No filler, just lobster with a touch of mayo on a toasted roll. I usually get the 10 oz when I do treat myself to a lobster roll, & it's big enough where I have to eat some of the lobster with a fork to finally pick it up to eat. If you like ice cream, there is a LOT to choose from. They have 78 flavors to choose from, & behind the counter is a sprawling sign with almost any option you can think of. They also have an assortment of other treats & beverages, like frappes, floats, smoothies, & more. (And a few beers on tap for the adults) All in all, it's a great place to go for fried seafood or a lobster roll, especially with friends & family. read more

Been coming here since The location opened. It's a staple for us. I may not come back again. This is the second time I have been treated this way since I placed an order 30 minutes or less prior to closing. There are many places I can go that don't treat me this way. Try the new community oven, Telly's, popovers, or Kume! The lack of maturity is unacceptable. read more

We ordered 3 burgers and fried pickles. We couldn't eat the fried pickles because not only did it have clam pieces in it the salt content was off the charts. We had our order to go. After 20 minutes of waiting I asked about our order and they pointed to a bag that was sitting for at least 10 minutes. I stated all 3 of us didn't hear our # being called. Their response was we called out your # as if to say, we did our part. They should invest in a speaker system. Needless to say, I'll never go there again. By far the BEST lobster roll ever! And I am a Maine lobsterman's daughter, and married to an offshore lobsterman. I can have all the lobster I want, but PAY to have one from the Beach Plum! This review is for Epping. I would give it 4 stars for the food quality , 3 trip to Epping since the pre Xmas opening but service tonight 1 star at best. My friend and I stopped here yesterday after driving by many times since they opened. We ordered two bacon cheddar cheese burgers and two strawberry milkshakes. After the initial shock of $32.66 and the less than hospitable cashier I was expecting the food to at least be noteworthy. How wrong I was. The burger was disgusting. The bun was completely soaked with fat, dripping. The fries tasted like fish. The milk shake , served in a large cup half filled, was passable, at $6.00 a shake I expected it to at least be a full cup . I should mention that it was close to closing time when we visited, an inconvenience our cashier managed to convey through her attitude. Needless to say , I will not be returning to Beach Plum. Eventually I hope to overcome the loss of my hard earned $32.66, until then all I can do is share this experience. read more

I like the original Beach Plum across from the North Hampton NH beach. This has lots of seating. The food is good but very pricey.

The food was pretty good. But the shrimp basket was $15 for 6 shrimp. Somehow $2.50/shrimp seems like a lot. Probably won't bother to go back. read more

Tried this today. I had the Haddock Basket (supposed to be the Special, though same price as regular menu with no add ons so not sure what that was about), and regular soda drink --$20, My Sis had Clam basket and a Shake - $25. The portions of clams and haddock were very small, maybe 6oz?, but the (filler) sweet potato fry portion was huge --we finished maybe a 1/3rd. The shake was also very small. All picnic tables (not a fan). Polite staff, fast service, very clean. Food was hot and tasty, but very overpriced for the portion of actual entree provided. read more

This is our goto place for seafood. We split the fisherman's platter and a cup of clam chowder. Always good, fresh and cooked to perfection. Always leave full with fries left on the plate. Never have room for ice cream, maybe someday we will only get an ice cream. Highly recommend. read more

Gluten Free Beware! My Mom recently went here and is Celiac. She asked for the gluten free menu and was surprised to see that they had French Fries to offer! This is rare because in order to be GF you need to have a dedicated Fryer so as not to contaminate. The Waitress was excellent in looking into and answering all of her questions but unfortunately they do not use a separate fryer! This is dangerous to anyone that NEEDS Gluten Free due to a true food allergy! After lots of discussion and research thanks to the waitress my Mom had to settle for a Burger, which was delicious and had a great GF roll but she was rather disappointed and frustrated that someplace could advertise as GF when they really aren't. Unfortunately there needs to be more education. Restaurants need to realize that not everyone is GF for "FAD" reasons. There are true Wheat allergies out there. Someone could have a severe reaction due to the carelessness of using the same fryer for something as simple as French fries.... please, be more careful and if you cannot offer true GF foods, DONT! read more

It's my favorite ice cream around the area. The sizes are ridiculously large, so you get plenty of it for your money. The seafood is great, a little pricey, but always delicious. It's usually relatively clean but I can see how it can be hard to keep up-- it's always bustling and the staff is constantly hard at work. read more

Review for Epping location but other info seems pertinent. I have loved North Hampton location forever, I've probably been there 35 times over the years never a bad experience. Loved Portsmouth the first three visits but three years ago I saw a cook eating scallops directly out of my to go container. I got my money back and have never stepped foot in there again. Epping, fried seafood is marginal, having grown up near Ipswich and Essex I'll give them a mulligan on that one. Lobster roll tastes much more like frozen lobster than other locations, is it? Probably but improve your thawing meathods. If I'm wrong sorry it didn't taste great or even close to as good as North Hampton. Employees are great, super, go above and beyond in Epping. But when a manager came out on break or something and sat on a table top to make a phone call ! I won't be back. She seemed nice enough, pleasent and hard working. But as obscure and out of the way the table seems dont sit on table tops its not sanitary. I dont think anybody should lose thier job it falls back onto training. Its 33.3% quality 33.3% image and 33.3% service. Beach Plum getting bigger can be better sometimes and sometimes not. read more

I had the scollop and clam combo dinner for $23.99. It came on a 12" plate piles high with fries, fried clams and delicious tender fried scollops. Unfortunately they decided to reinvent tired of sauce. Lack of another word it sucked. Yes it had mayonnaise pickle relish in it, but the other junk they threw in there. Forget about it. I went to the location in Epping NH, it was spotlessly clean. Their website is vague about their location. It only says it's on Rt125. Which can be an 8 mile stretch from north to south. I called ahead to verify their location. I asked if they were north or south of Rt101, nobody knew the girl on the phone even asked coworkers . Had the website simply sated " we're located on Rt125 just south of Rt101" it would have been easier to find. I had a 50/50 shot and went north for 4 miles then back south only to find it in a plaza a few hundred yards SOUTH of Rt101. read more

I eat here every chance I get. The lobster is delicious. I recommend the Lobster bisque it is so good and filled with chunks of fresh lobster. I love the fries, the sweet potato fries, and the corn fritters. The fish sandwich is awesome. The chicken tenders perfect and I was so surprised the salads are huge and full of fresh salad stuff. The ice cream is Richardson's and that is the best ice cream in the area. It is all wonderful, the service is great as well. I don't know about busy times but we always eat at about 11:30 just before the lunch crowd. If your in the neighborhood you dont want to miss this restaurant. The chairs (picnic tables) aren't to comfy but hey your not going to live there. Food is worth it. read more

Amazing seafood just like all the other locations. Epping is less crowded them Hampton one and Portsmouth. Super friendly staff and the people that go their to eat are so friendly and their kids are always well mannered. No kids running in to u here...... Just kidding kids run a muck lol.
