    Weatherstripping

Adorable motel from the outside and great Lake Superior lakefront lawn with chairs, picnic table, and grille. These same amenities are avaible at the pier-side park downtown. Room left a lot to be desired. Paid $200 for the smallest lakefront room and was not worth it. Bedding was clean; however, room was not and maintenance was poor. Cobwebs in most corners and up the walls behind doors, dirty coffee pot, coffee splattered on window sill. Weatherstripping separated from door and daylight coming through, pine trim not sealed before painted so the sap is coming through, drywall coming apart in multiple areas, shower caulk and drywall separated from the shower, 1/3 of the bathroom ceiling was patched and repainted leaving the rest to not match, sloppy painting and patch not painted. Had a frig and microwave but lacking typical amenities like iron, ironing board, alarm clock and outlets. Literally one outlet available and none by the bed. TV great for the deaf because ability to turn off closed captioning was disabled. See pics for examples. I'd suggest finding other lodging. Perhaps rooms other than 125 are better. While this is close to town, there is a motel and hotel in town that are comparable to the cute outside of Beach Inn Motel.

Small, quaint and perfectly situated on the water. This small hotel/motor lodge has really nice rooms with sliders leading out to a giant grassy area with a lot of great little areas to sit and watch the sun set. The ladies at the desk were so sweet, Accommodating, wanting to talk about the area and just all around great stewards for the UP and Munising!!! Breakfast was great- no complaints at all! Loved it and would stay again!

Beautiful motel! In perfect driving distance of Pictures Rocks National LakeShore. Close to Munising businesses. Highly recommend.

Great little inn that is more secluded and located a ways from town - on the east side of Munising Bay, which provides excellent sunset views. The hotel has an ample picnic and lounging area, furnished with tables, chairs, and even a bbq, right on the bay. The room was perfectly adequate. One word of caution - there is currently construction on the only road to the hotel. The only way to access the hotel is from the east, which the hotel should have advised us in advance, especially when they texted me the day before to confirm my arrival.

We had no problems with our room. Bed were pretty comfy and room was pretty spacious. The view off our porch out to the lake was very pretty. Only thing was breakfast was kinda sad. Not many options. But other wise worth it ;)

Almost perfect! Great view of the bay (that runs into Lake Superior). Since it is a motel, ALL the rooms have a view! The staff is SO friendly! Although not listed on the website they offer continental breakfast, nothing spectacular but a must if trying to save a bit of cash on vacation! All rooms have coffee, microwave and fridge. Doesn't seem like much, but some don't so it's great when they do. Also here are grills for use, tables and seating outside. They even have FREE ice bags for your cooler, and forget your cooler? They have those for your use too! The staff is VERY knowledgeable and helpful about the area too. Great stay! I'm coming back!

View from The Beach Inn's backyard. Beautiful!

Clean and Affordable Hotel! Free breakfast, wifi and firewood. Staff were helpful and were happy to answer any question we threw at them. Definitely recommend staying here. Yelp has the address wrong so we had a little trouble finding it- 9360 E Munising Ave Munising, MI 49862 United States is the correct address.

I stayed here at the end of June 2016. I grew up just a couple of miles away and wanted to stay at a hotel on the lake. This place was fairly new and looks very nice from the street. Upon arrival, the woman at the desk seemed quite grumpy and unprofessionally dressed. Throughout our stay I typically only saw her at the end of the driveway smoking and texting. The room had a great view. That's the only thing it has going for it! The walls are paper-thin, there are NO artwork or mirrors in the room (except for the bathroom mirror). There isn't a closet, ironing board, iron, nowhere to hang clothes, or really any storage space beyond a small dresser. The microwave was dirty with melted cheese, something that wasn't cleaned up throughout our stay. The railing on the balcony was broken so my 2-year-old could push it out and fall, possibly to her death. Housekeeping didn't vacuum our room or wipe down the surfaces while we were there, kind of bad considering we're at the beach...and kids with sand. I believe there were code violations in the form of not having a sprinkler system in the rooms and there was no emergency exit strategy posted on the back of the doors. All in all, the room was a depressing place to be and we eagerly looked forward to checking out. Completely regrettable considering the peak-season rates we paid! Don't be fooled by the hotel's curb appeal. The inside isn't as gorgeous.

The hotel was dog friendly, clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The free breakfast was better than expected and gave us a good start each morning. Our room faced South Bay of Lake Superior, which made for a beautiful view -- especially at sunset (though you'll need a little patience, since the sun doesn't set until after 10 PM in the summer!). The location was convenient with lots of great activities nearby, making it easy to explore the area without driving too far. Overall, this hotel added comfort and relaxation to an adventurous trip. Would definitely stay again when passing through!

The price was high for a room with a lake view but their season is not very long so I understand. The location is good just a mile into town and a short drive to the western sights of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Park. The room was decent nothing fancy except for the nice balcony looking out to the lake. Unfortunately the strong north wind and cold front limited our ability to sit outside except for a short bit. Welcome to Lake Superior at the very end of May! The breakfast room was super tiny for such a big place and on a Sunday morning it was cramped and hard to move around. Overall it worked for us.

On September 7th this year we stayed at the White Pine Lodge in Christmas, Michigan. Upon checki-in…read morewe were told nothing except the pool/hot tub was out of order. When checking out the next morning, there was a bedbug on a pillow. I was very discreet as I went to the front desk to let them know. It had already been a crappy morning because, unbeknownst to me, they had been without water for a week up until the day before our stay, their complimentary breakfast had no coffee, no juice, no meats or eggs, the waffle maker was broken, and though they also ran the attached convince store they wouldn't let you get that coffee without paying for it. The front desk person told a housekeeper of our situation then said they were calling the manager. After waiting half an hour because we were told the manager was on her way, we had to leave to make our next reservation. I made sure they had my contact info and was assured I'd be called. 7 hours later I called the lodge back and was told the manager, Amy, had left for the day. And that they didn't find anything else so she didn't know what management had decided about it. I asked to be called the next day and again nothing. So we went about our vacation. After returning to work from vacation I called the Sault Tribe in the U.P. who own the lodge. I was transferred to a woman named Jennifer and she listened to my situation. Then told me she was the wrong person to talk to and that I should be talking to Dan Doyle. She said she was going to email him about what I told her and CC me on that email. Never happened. It is now another week later and I called Dan Doyle to see what was going on. Had to leave a voicemail. It's been 3 days and nothing. Today I called the LMAS Health Department who is over that county. That lady said they can't do anything about bedbugs and I have to contact the owner Ok... soooooo.... the lodge basically said they didn't find any other bugs which likely means they didn't call an exterminator and just turned the room over. The management and owners don't seem to care and now neither does the health department. Mind you, I didn't ask for anything. Not a discount or refund. Nothing but to be contacted by management. They could have lied to me and said they fumigated the room, how would I know? But at least they would have appeared to give a shit. I will still file a complaint with the health department and BBB in Michigan so there is a paper trail and my conscious is clear. I just don't want any to get sick or take home bedbugs!! White Pine Lodge, Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians... how absolutely disgusting you run your businesses!!!
