Batchmaker was in charge of cookies and brownies for my wedding. They were so responsive and helpful during the ordering process. Pick up was simple and everything was PERFECT!! Guests continuously came up to tell me how great dessert was and ask where we had ordered. I got multiple texts afterwards asking for the bakery name. Batchmaker has always been amazing and they exceeded my expectations with this order. I cannot recommend enough for large catering style orders as well as just stopping in for a few treats. This team is amazing and the treats are delicious
This is such a cute bakery and it smells so nice inside. I read a lot of reviews and people raved about the oatmeal cream pie so I decided to order one for my evening sweet treat. Was I supposed to eat it immediately? When I went to enjoy it after dinner that evening it was hard as a rock and I was worried I would break my teeth biting into it. I ended up separating the two cookies and microwaving one of the oatmeal cookies for 20 seconds. It was still very hard to bite into but I did taste it and it was overly sweet. If I ever go again I would order something different.
This place has been saved in my bookmarks for so long and I'm so glad we finally had the chance to stop by! The bakery itself is so so cute, everything is very thoughtfully decorated. As for the pastries and desserts, I was so excited to see that they had a wide variety, which made it so difficult to pick out which ones to buy because everything looked so yummy. I'd say that any item that you pick is a good choice. Staff is very helpful with recommendations and very efficient. If you like your desserts traditionally super sweet then this is the place for you. I can't wait to return to try something new next time!
Sweet, sweet, sweet and I have a sweet tooth. Finally managed to get to The Batchmaker after years of dying to try. It wasn't necessarily my cup of tea given the level of sweet each seemed dessert seemed to have. Everyone has different tastes. S'mores brownie which they are known. The burnt marshmallow had a bit of smokiness and was for me the perfect amount of burnt. From there, it felt like the marshmallow could be eaten separate from the brownie. I did eat the majority together to have the whole bite. The brownie itself felt like an ordinary brownie. It didn't blow me away. Puddle cookie with caramel - the caramel was like a layer of burnt sugar vs buttery caramel. The puddle cookie itself was okay w/the chocolate chunks. The caramel toffee brownie again given the caramel super sweet and the brownie is a solid offering. The cinnamon bun was not as cinnamony as one would expect given how it looked and it was really light on the cream cheese frosting. Really solid offering and would recommend to those who like their sweets sweet.

I was blown away! I love chocolate chip cookies and have eaten so many of them and this one immediately jumped into my top 5. They somehow made it taste like cookie dough and not in an underbaked way. The raspberry poptart and smores brownie were delicious as well. If I lived closer I would visit all the time!
This is the cutest little bakery. It's comfy cozy and homey. There's so much to see, and a great selection of treats. The lady taking the orders was really nice, and provided great recommendations. Awesome customer service. I ordered the oatmeal cream pie. It's a little pricy but oh so worth it. Listen, when I tell you this was THE best homeade oatmeal pie...oh.my. goodness! Little Debbie has been permanently replaced. The oatmeal did not have the doughy floury after taste that I've tasted in other homemade oatmeal cookies. It was a large, thick, soft and chewy. It was so perfect to me. I can't wait to go back and try other selections.
First of all... How freaking cute is this bakery! We noticed the bakery and decided to give it a try, and I'm so happy we did! Honestly, everything looked so good and I was totally over stimulated, but the cashier was really nice and let us know what some of the fan favorites were, which helped us narrow down our options! I ordered the smores brownie for my son, he scarfed it down and said it was delicious! I ordered the chocolate chunk cookie, and boy was it scrumptious! It was firm yet chewy with big milk chocolate chunks, just YUM! A good chocolate chip cookie is so hard to come across but they got it right here for sure! My friend ordered the oatmeal pie and said it was the best freshly baked oatmeal pie she's ever had! We both regret not getting more goodies, but will definitely be back to snag more goodies!

Anytime I go to a new bakery I typically get a few different things, and like maybe 1 or 2 items. Not the case here!! I got a s'mores brownie, puddle cookie, Oreo truffle cookie and oatmeal cream pie and every. Single. Thing. Was perfect. The cookies were soft and just the best texture and flavor. I was afraid the oatmeal cream pie cookie was going to be hard because that thing has some weight, but it was just as soft as the other cookies! The brownie was everything I could've hoped for and more. Highly recommend!!
Absolutely delicious chocolate puddle cookie! It tastes like they baked a candy bar right in the middle of a chocolate chip cookie! The atmosphere was adores! Cool vibe, laid back and family friendly. A small kitchen graces the wall with select seating. The owner was gracious, attentive, and gave attention to each customer. You felt like a guest in this well appointed speciality shop. The freshness was above par. They have eats from cookies, to brownies, scones, and cakes! Check out the batch matcher today!
What a gem of a bakery in Charlotte! I have been impressed by every baked good I've tried here. The millionaire cookie might just be the best cookie I've ever eaten. If you crave sweet and salty treats, this cookie is for you. The s'mores brownie was another highlight - decadent, chocolatey, and perfectly fudgy. It's the perfect brownie! The oatmeal cream pie was also life-changing (and definitely large enough to share). Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the treats at The Batchmaker - every treat is baked to perfection. The interior is super cute and I adored the Golden Girls-themed bathroom (!). There is also a nice outdoor space with plentiful seating to enjoy your baked goods. When I visited, they only offered black coffee. It would have been nice to have an option for milk, but the coffee was solid. (There's also a coffee shop across the street.) The staff member who helped me on my recent visit wasn't super friendly, which differed significantly from my first visit. But overall, this is a splendid bakery that Charlotte is lucky to have!
I loved all of the treats! Each one was so good. This was a thoughtful gift from a friend, and now I can't wait to visit Batch House myself. I've already heard so many great things about their desserts, and this experience definitely lived up to the hype. I'm excited to check out the atmosphere in person and try even more of their delicious goodies!
Ah yes, finally. After window shopping on Yelp for years, I was finally in the neighborhood and stopped at The Batchmaker. Upon entering, I found the place very clean and inviting. The only employee behind the counter was welcoming and helpful because it was my first time. I went with what they are known for. Oatmeal Cream Pies, House-made Pop tarts, a coffee cake cake and a Dulce de Leche banana breads. All the pastries were fantastic and I will definitely make it a point to recommend this Latin, Female, owned business to everyone. Delicious! read more

The BEST bakery!! I got a snickerdoodle cupcake and Oreo cookie and WOW. Speechless. So good and so fresh. The employees are so kind and warm and friendly which really made my morning. The establishment itself is absolutely adorable, the best breakfast meetup for a date, friends, family, etc. it is so beautiful inside and has a bunch of great outdoor seating. I am from out of town and friends and I headed to Charlotte for my best friend's 40th birthday celebration. I emailed and inquired to get a cake for my friend 3 days before coming in town. I got a reply immediately which I really appreciated. I ordered the mini chocolate covered strawberry cake in which it was beautiful when we got it. The person who got it was so friendly and even made some suggestions for lunch. We were instructed to put the cake down on the floor of the car so it doesn't fall and put it in the fridge immediately and to remove it 2 hrs before we cut into it. We did just that. When we got to our Airbnb I saw that the cake toppled over. I tried fixing it to make it presentable to my bestfriend and put it straight in the fridge to make it not so fragile. The cake was a crooked . My friend made me feel better and said it was ok but I was a little embarrassed as we didn't want to go back to the bakery to complain. We did order the oatmeal cream pie cookie which was amazing. It was the right consistency but the filling was a little too sweet for me. Overall, I would probably check it out again when I come back into town, but I do recommend the bakery providing a cake sleeve if the integrity of the cake was going to be so fragile that included special instructions to make it home carefully. To provide a description in detail of the cake, it had chocolate strawberries on the top of the cake, it was three layers and in between the layers was a strawberry compost/jam like that made the cake top heavy and the cake itself "slippery" as the tiers slip off the jam. The inside was clean and decorated so cute with Golden Girls. Friendly service and that's why I rated it 4 out of 5. I'm gifted cookies from here by my boss every now and again, the oatmeal cream pie is my absolute fave. The cookies are huge and I cannot eat one by myself. Give them a shot but check for business hours. read more

I had heard about The Batchmaker and her desserts for awhile from friends during quarantine of 2020 and I thought, "man, I wish I had known about her sooner to try the desserts!" Then when I heard she was reopening a store front I knew I had to go to her grand re-opening. I got there early-ish and waited in line for about 45 minutes. Not horrible if you ask me. I've waited in 2 hour lines for food before, so no big deal. Before we get to the dessert, let me start by saying the inside of the new shop was very cute and quaint. Has a cute high tea feel to it from the furniture to the delicate dishes on display behind the counter. The love for the Golden Girls is apparent when you step into the restroom and I am HERE FOR IT Cris (owner and baker) even has a little kitchen for the tiny customers/junior bakers in the making! It's all adorable. Now to the desserts... I got the following: - Apple roll - DELICIOUS! The roll itself wasn't overly sweet which balanced out the sweetness from the frosting. The apples were delicious and still had a nice bite/crunch to them, which I always appreciate. - Oatmeal creme pies - I love a good oatmeal cookie and these were very good. Again, the cookie balanced out the sweetness of the creme which has a subtle marshmallow flavor. - Apple caramel cookie - Also delicious! - Cookie butter cookie - I love cookie butter and this mixed with the chocolate chunks was so good!!! So far, there wasn't anything that wasn't delicious. Another thing I noticed while visiting was the genuine love that Cris has for her work and the customers that support her. Asked vice versa. 5 stars - whimsical and photogenic decor, delicious pastries Stopped in on a Friday at around 11am and there was no line and quite a few pastry options to choose from. We were in and out in like 5 minutes. We got the pb&j cookie, s'mores brownie, and oatmeal cream pie. My favorite was the pb&j cookie and my husbands was the oatmeal cream pie. The brownie was good but extremely rich and a bit too underbaked/gooey (I never though that I would say that! But it's true.) read more

Whew, I took way too long to get over here to try the great sweet offerings. I've since been twice and everything is always absolutely amazing! The parking lot is almost always full and there is some construction going on so keep that in mind. There was always plenty to choose from on my visits which were both around lunch time. I've only had cookies so far, mint chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and double chocolate chip and they were all freshly baked, chewy and delicious. read more
Bathroom Yelp: Golden Girls theme was adorable! Cute, clean and fun bathroom! Great for families! Full changing table with spares items if you don't have them. Citrus spray for freshening when you leave. The trash can is near the door so you can use your paper towel to open the door as you exit. One person bathroom. CoVid Procedures: Only 2 patrons allowed in restaurant at a time. All staff was wearing masks in the establishment. Apple Pay accepted for touch-less interactions. 6ft distance tape outside Time for the grub: The gluten "sensitive" s'mores brownie left no gluten to be desired. They do a great job of making the brownie too delicious to tell there isn't gluten. I wish I would've bought a regular one to test it against but I'll definitely be buying this again (if they have it) Coffee cake muffin was wonderfully soft and not too crumbly of a coffee cake, the softness made it seem warm the entire time I was eating it. I liked this bakery and the location!! The service was good the lady taking my order was helpful and patient. I ended up getting 4 cookies for a dinner party and that totaled about $20. Now that is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The cookies are a pretty decent shareable size! I got two chocolate chip cookies, one Oreo cookie and one Smores cookie. The Oreo one was my favorite which is weird because I am not an Oreo fan. But the way they made it was so good! It was made out of a chocolate chip cookie base with hints of Oreo pieces and cream! So good! The Smores one was a bit too chocolaty for me, and the regular chocolate chip was pretty good as well! I will definitely be back especially if I need something again for a group event! read more

My best friend mailed me a Batchmaker cake for my birthday a few years ago and it was so good! Fast forward to last month: I was visiting my friend in CLT,so you know we had to come to the Batch House! The space is so cute and welcoming. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. We ordered a little bit of everything to try. I honestly can't pick a favorite, but my top faves were the puddle cookie, the oatmeal cream pie, and the edible cookie dough. I also snagged a "people first, cake second" hat that I have been wearing around Pittsburgh. As someone who likes to bake as a hobby, Cris's creations really inspire me! I can't wait to come back to Charlotte and trying some more goodies from the Batchmaker! read more

This small bake shop is located off Freedom drive. We made our way there on a Tuesday afternoon. There is limited seating, and limited options in regards to desserts. I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting. There were a couple different cookie flavors, one brownie and the oatmeal cream pies. Aside from that there were a variety of coffee drinks to choose from. We attempted to come a few days before, but they were sold out. I could see that happening with the limited supply of baked goods. Though the oatmeal cream pie was good, I'm not sure the it was worth $4.50. The actual cookie portion was tasty, the filling was overwhelmingly sweet with a hint marshmallow flavor. I will say, we fell for the yelp hype on this one. Not sure we'll be returning. read more

My sister ordered a key lime cake for my birthday celebration. The person who helped us when we picked up the cake was so lovely and the location is a cute, kind of cottage core style place. The cake was denser tha I had anticipated and had a more shortbread or pound cake thickness. Lime curd was tasty. All around good cake but would prefer to try something else next time. I did it! I got a Batchbox and feel like I won a golden ticket! I got a: chocolate puddle cookie, millionaire shortbread cookie, brown sugar pop tart, oatmeal cream pie, and a chocolate birthday cake slice. Would I get all of these items again? Hell yes. I wish I bought double of each. Now reviews of each item: The millionaire shortbread cookie? Perfect balance of salty, sweet. The Chocolate puddle cookie will blow any traditional chocolate chip cookie out of the water. The brown sugar cinnamon pop tart is super flaky, and filled with all the cinnamon-y goodness of your childhood - but topped with sprinkles too! The chocolate birthday cake - holy dulce de Leche filling - this cake is for serious dessert lovers only! I don't know why but the oatmeal cream pie is bigger looking in person than it is in the picture- it is dense, thicc with a "c", and absolutely ahmazing. Look at all this texture! Hate me for saying this but, Little Debbie's could never be this thicc and delicious ! The space is so chic, homey, and welcoming - as is all of the staff! I will definitely be back! Waited 3 years to try the S'more Brownie from The Batch Maker/The Batch House and it didn't disappoint. Dulce de leche brownie also deserves a shoutout. The caramel was decadent and I honestly preferred it over the s'more brownie. Finally got to come in person! Their hours are specific so made it happen on a Saturday which is the best shot I have. And they still had what I wanted, I had heard to come early because they sale out. So yay! First off, cutest little store!! Secondly, all you need to know is OATMEAL CREAM PIE COOKIES. Literally all you need to know, even if you think you don't like them you should get one and try it. So good! I also finally got to try the pop tart (brown sugar cinnamon). And a Carmel de leche brownie. I will say their pricing range $4-$5 each but they are big so it's worth it. Best thing I've tried tho is still that Oatmeal cream cookie! read more
Went and got a mixed box of yummy goodies this past weekend! I took the advice of the reviews and got there early (10 mins before opening in fact) to make sure I had my choice of things I wanted! I highly recommend everyone do the same. We ate some stuff on their outdoor bench and by the time we left (8:30/8:45), people were starting to pile in. If there's not a line, they're kinda hard to see at first sight. They're on the side of the Delectables by Holly building tucked away! Plenty of parking so get there early! The Good: the shop is just the cutest - like your grandma's home but leveled up with a modern touch. There's a small selection of rotating goodies which means the owner/baker can focus on quality vs quantity. Everything was fantastic - gingerbread cookie, puddle cookie, dulce de leche brownie, and an orange/cranberry brownie. Really wanted to try the s'mores brownie so that's for next time! Even their iced coffee is really good! The girl working the register was really nice while helping me decide on some options. The Meh: the hours might be difficult for many people who, like me, work a M-F 8-5. That just means you have to drag your sleepy ass out of bed Saturday mornings, load up on carbs, and go back to sleep after (that's what a friend told me...I wouldn't know heh) The Bad: nothing noted! I'm absolutely obsessed with this spot! My friend brought me here on my last day visiting her in Charlotte, and I'm so glad she did! The service is AMAZING! The staff is super friendly, helpful and kind. Answered all my questions and were so patient when I couldn't decide between all their incredible desserts. My friend and I shared the millionaire cookie (chocolate chip, caramel) and their signature oatmeal cream pie. Both were decadent and insanely good. The aesthetic of this place is so quirky and charming and their Golden Girls themed bathroom is EVERYTHING. I'm sad I don't live in Charlotte because I'd make The Batchmaker a weekly stop. Oh, and it's in a complex with it's own parking, so very convenient as well! read more
