Batchmaker was in charge of cookies and brownies for my wedding. They were so responsive and helpful during the ordering process. Pick up was simple and everything was PERFECT!! Guests continuously came up to tell me how great dessert was and ask where we had ordered. I got multiple texts afterwards asking for the bakery name. Batchmaker has always been amazing and they exceeded my expectations with this order. I cannot recommend enough for large catering style orders as well as just stopping in for a few treats. This team is amazing and the treats are delicious
This is such a cute bakery and it smells so nice inside. I read a lot of reviews and people raved about the oatmeal cream pie so I decided to order one for my evening sweet treat. Was I supposed to eat it immediately? When I went to enjoy it after dinner that evening it was hard as a rock and I was worried I would break my teeth biting into it. I ended up separating the two cookies and microwaving one of the oatmeal cookies for 20 seconds. It was still very hard to bite into but I did taste it and it was overly sweet. If I ever go again I would order something different.
This place has been saved in my bookmarks for so long and I'm so glad we finally had the chance to stop by! The bakery itself is so so cute, everything is very thoughtfully decorated. As for the pastries and desserts, I was so excited to see that they had a wide variety, which made it so difficult to pick out which ones to buy because everything looked so yummy. I'd say that any item that you pick is a good choice. Staff is very helpful with recommendations and very efficient. If you like your desserts traditionally super sweet then this is the place for you. I can't wait to return to try something new next time!
Sweet, sweet, sweet and I have a sweet tooth. Finally managed to get to The Batchmaker after years of dying to try. It wasn't necessarily my cup of tea given the level of sweet each seemed dessert seemed to have. Everyone has different tastes. S'mores brownie which they are known. The burnt marshmallow had a bit of smokiness and was for me the perfect amount of burnt. From there, it felt like the marshmallow could be eaten separate from the brownie. I did eat the majority together to have the whole bite. The brownie itself felt like an ordinary brownie. It didn't blow me away. Puddle cookie with caramel - the caramel was like a layer of burnt sugar vs buttery caramel. The puddle cookie itself was okay w/the chocolate chunks. The caramel toffee brownie again given the caramel super sweet and the brownie is a solid offering. The cinnamon bun was not as cinnamony as one would expect given how it looked and it was really light on the cream cheese frosting. Really solid offering and would recommend to those who like their sweets sweet.

I was blown away! I love chocolate chip cookies and have eaten so many of them and this one immediately jumped into my top 5. They somehow made it taste like cookie dough and not in an underbaked way. The raspberry poptart and smores brownie were delicious as well. If I lived closer I would visit all the time!
This is the cutest little bakery. It's comfy cozy and homey. There's so much to see, and a great selection of treats. The lady taking the orders was really nice, and provided great recommendations. Awesome customer service. I ordered the oatmeal cream pie. It's a little pricy but oh so worth it. Listen, when I tell you this was THE best homeade oatmeal pie...oh.my. goodness! Little Debbie has been permanently replaced. The oatmeal did not have the doughy floury after taste that I've tasted in other homemade oatmeal cookies. It was a large, thick, soft and chewy. It was so perfect to me. I can't wait to go back and try other selections.
First of all... How freaking cute is this bakery! We noticed the bakery and decided to give it a try, and I'm so happy we did! Honestly, everything looked so good and I was totally over stimulated, but the cashier was really nice and let us know what some of the fan favorites were, which helped us narrow down our options! I ordered the smores brownie for my son, he scarfed it down and said it was delicious! I ordered the chocolate chunk cookie, and boy was it scrumptious! It was firm yet chewy with big milk chocolate chunks, just YUM! A good chocolate chip cookie is so hard to come across but they got it right here for sure! My friend ordered the oatmeal pie and said it was the best freshly baked oatmeal pie she's ever had! We both regret not getting more goodies, but will definitely be back to snag more goodies!

Anytime I go to a new bakery I typically get a few different things, and like maybe 1 or 2 items. Not the case here!! I got a s'mores brownie, puddle cookie, Oreo truffle cookie and oatmeal cream pie and every. Single. Thing. Was perfect. The cookies were soft and just the best texture and flavor. I was afraid the oatmeal cream pie cookie was going to be hard because that thing has some weight, but it was just as soft as the other cookies! The brownie was everything I could've hoped for and more. Highly recommend!!
Absolutely delicious chocolate puddle cookie! It tastes like they baked a candy bar right in the middle of a chocolate chip cookie! The atmosphere was adores! Cool vibe, laid back and family friendly. A small kitchen graces the wall with select seating. The owner was gracious, attentive, and gave attention to each customer. You felt like a guest in this well appointed speciality shop. The freshness was above par. They have eats from cookies, to brownies, scones, and cakes! Check out the batch matcher today!
What a gem of a bakery in Charlotte! I have been impressed by every baked good I've tried here. The millionaire cookie might just be the best cookie I've ever eaten. If you crave sweet and salty treats, this cookie is for you. The s'mores brownie was another highlight - decadent, chocolatey, and perfectly fudgy. It's the perfect brownie! The oatmeal cream pie was also life-changing (and definitely large enough to share). Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the treats at The Batchmaker - every treat is baked to perfection. The interior is super cute and I adored the Golden Girls-themed bathroom (!). There is also a nice outdoor space with plentiful seating to enjoy your baked goods. When I visited, they only offered black coffee. It would have been nice to have an option for milk, but the coffee was solid. (There's also a coffee shop across the street.) The staff member who helped me on my recent visit wasn't super friendly, which differed significantly from my first visit. But overall, this is a splendid bakery that Charlotte is lucky to have!
I loved all of the treats! Each one was so good. This was a thoughtful gift from a friend, and now I can't wait to visit Batch House myself. I've already heard so many great things about their desserts, and this experience definitely lived up to the hype. I'm excited to check out the atmosphere in person and try even more of their delicious goodies!

If I could give this place ten stars I would. When I moved here from Birmingham almost 2 years ago, I was on a mission to find a dessert place. I kept striking out for months on end, but then stumbled upon the Batchmaker. This place is hands down the best bakery in Charlotte, and I will fight anyone that disagrees with me. I go here every single Saturday morning to get my goodies for the weekend and am always greeted by the friendliest staff. They recognize me and some even know my name at this point. Cris is extremely kind and you can tell she loves what she does. She is super interactive with her customers in person and on social media. The instagram account is super well run and is aimed at engaging with followers. Daily videos are posted of what's in the case for the day, along with events coming up. They recently opened up on Sunday's so that more people could stop by during the week and get cookies, which was game changing for me since I work until 5PM during weekdays. The bakery is super cute and inviting, themed after the Golden Girls. Every day, there is something new in the case, but you always have your staple items such as s'mores brownies, pop tarts, and oatmeal cream pies. Some of my favorites are the churro cookie, crème brûlée cookie, and any cookie cake slice. The Batchmaker goes all out on holidays as well, making themed cookies and treats. This is my favorite place in all of Charlotte and I couldn't recommend it anymore. read more

I went here for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved everything about this place! The decor, the service, and the vibe was just perfect. I went around 2pm and there were only 2 treats left; the halloween candy brownie and twix bar. If you come here for the first time, I highly recommend getting there when they open so you can choose from their wide selection of baked goods! Nonetheless, the brownie and twix bar were both so good! The cashier was so sweet and gave me an extra brownie for free since it was their last one and was very friendly and helpful! I will definitely be coming back here again, just in the morning this time! I can't wait to try what else they have! read more

Absolutely darling little bake shop with an amazing variety of top quality treats. But get there early, because they sell out quick! Must-Haves: *Definitely grab one of the rolls if they're available! Strawberry cheesecake has been my absolute favorite, but every variety has been divine! * Oatmeal crème pies! * The cookies - s'mores, cracker, cheesecake, caramel apple, every kind is to die for! * The cheesecake or apple crumb bars! * The brownies - s'mores, Nutella, peanut butter, Oreo, oh my! * The tres leches draft latte. Even if they're sold out of baked goods, the latte alone is still worth the drive. Cris puts her heart and soul into everything she makes here and it shines through. read more

My friend who I was visiting lives down the street from this place, and he took us here to start off our morning walk and let me just say I'm soooo glad he did! This little place is adorable with golden girl vibes all around! I had gotten the draft iced coffee tres leches and it was phenomenal! I also tried the apple cheesecake which I would eat all day every day if I could. Also got the caramel chocolate chunk cookie which was the size of my head and soft and gooey, yummy! read more

Finally got to order a Jumbo box during covid and got super lucky. Her items are just legit and you can tell they were made with love. Unconditional love. It was a lot of pastries but the gf and I just nibbled on them day by day until they were gone. Everything tasted just as good days later with maybe the exception of the jelly roll (we'll eat that first next time haha). I can't wait to go try more things when she finally reopens and especially to get those oatmeal pies and cookies. Those were my highlights. Just be aware, she sells out quickly with almost everything she makes. read more

These cookies are delicious I was gifted 3 cookies in the cutest pink box. I just couldn't believe how beautiful and tasty the cookies are and even freeze well I have one more left. If I could give zero stars I would!! So I went to the bakery to buy cookies 3 weeks before I ordered the cof course I get there they were sold out. I asked the owner that I wanted to order a cake she said I HAD to do it on line I said I'm here I want to order it she said no that's not how we do it. So I sent and email because that's how you order it. Wait 2 days to get a response the pick up date was 2/19 also order cookies. During the week I tried to get them to hold cookies and I was told no they couldn't? I'm like I'm spending about $100 and you can't hold cookies? They said no. So I get there picked up the cake and the special cookies. Thankfully they had cookies so bought some. Well fast forward we cut the cake on my moms birthday and OMG!! The cake was raw!!! The third layer on the top you can see it. I'm so disgusted!! I reached out to the owner and she seemed as she was going to do blues clue and find out?? Meanwhile I'm embarrassed that everyone at the party was like what's that in the cake. I expressed this to the owner and it meant NOTHING to her. I got charged for the cake....cookies....I even paid a tip???? Since when do bakeries do this?! She was not sympathetic nor did she offer me no type of compensation towards HER mistake. Very disappointing and sad that she gets to do this and have no type of customer service!! read more

There are times my wife and I need to finish our night with a treat. One place we love to either get a treat to end our night or to have with our morning coffee is batchmaker. This place has great homemade baked goods and the owner and staff are such nice and friendly people. We have had the pop tarts (both apple cinnamon and strawberry), the oatmeal cream pie, their brownies, cereal killer muffins with cereal cooked inside. We have loved everything. My wife's favorite is the oatmeal cream pie and mine is the pop tart. They also serve coffee from my favorite local coffee shop, Hex/stable hand. So, two great local spots collaborating is also a big win for us all. Good people, great food and great drinks is what local shopping is all about. I would recommend this place to all sweet connoisseurs. read more
What delicious treats they have. This bakery is known for their s'mores brownies but their oatmeal cream pies and puddle cookies are truly to die for. I do wish the opening hours were still 7am so I could stop there before work but that will just make when I can get there that much more special. What a lovely spot west of uptown! This bakery is decorated beautifully! I had the strawberry pop tart & oatmeal cream pie. Delicious! The employee working was very nice too. This is a great spot to grab a treat with a friend. Love the little play corner too. I hope they eventually do tea, this is the perfect spot for that. Love the tea decor on the wall. read more

These pastries are amazing! I got half a dozen of a variety and honestly all of them where sooo good! Out of all I think my favorite one was the brownie and to second that the pop tart. We took these on a road trip and these were gonna within seconds! I also got a tres leches coffee and I have to say this was amazing. I normally drink black coffee with no sugar and I was surprised of how good this coffee was. I can't wait to go back and try different things. I keep on looking at the lemon bars on their Instagram account so hopefully next time I go those are up for grabs! read more

Huge fan of this new place! It's hard to get me out of bed early on a Saturday but the treats were worth it and we'll be back! I can't express in words how fantastic the oatmeal cream pies are... crunchy but chewy and just wonderful. Everything else we tried was awesome too (s'mores brownie, Oreo cake jar, Oreo truffle cookie), but those were my favorite. Also got a very solid latte here with homemade caramel. Highly recommend! read more

To whoever is reading this. Do not order a whipped cream cake from here. Attached below is photos of the cake we ended up with. The cake did not survive a 15 minute ride home to be placed in the fridge, as you can see the whipped cream wasn't stabilized enough and ended up looking like it had melted causing the cake to look like the cake in the film "sleeping beauty" thethat the fairies made for her birthday. You know the one that was melting and leaning over? Yeah. The cake layers were not evenly cut and there were chunks of cake missing. I don't understand how a cake like this came from a "professional bakery". It was so sad to end up with a cake like this for my birthday because I was so excited to try out this place. The photos on their website are so beautiful but unfortunately in person that's not the case. I didn't want to leave a bad review and wasn't going to, BUT, I've been in contact with the owner who now unfortunately stopped responding to my emails. So what I've learned is that this company never thinks anything could possibly be their fault and that you will not be receiving any compensation or refund from them if your cake is a disaster. It's unfortunate because I genuinely feel like they're not bad people, they just have absolutely horrible customer service. You can't put your motto on your company as "people first, cake second" when clearly this isn't the case. Hope I can help the next person who is thinking of ordering a whipped cream cake from here. read more
