The Nest Event Center is located in Greenwood just off I-65 at Main Street. The parking lot is quite large and will accommodate a large event. The interior is amazing and you'd never know it was a former restaurant. The lobby area is very attractive, decorated in beiges and cream, and I could see using this for cocktails, a reception line plus so much more. It worked well tonight for purchasing tickets plus an area to sit and relax while enjoying the fireplace. The versatile ballroom is quite large and can handle everything from a wedding, conference to special events. One of those special events is the Holiday Craft Show tonight. The Event Center has a neutral color scheme and can accomadate most bridal or conference color schemes. This proved to be true with all the colors associated with the Holiday Craft Show. Tonight all different color schemes were used and all the crafts looked wonderful. With this neutral backdrop any decor theme would work nicely allowing brides or companies a great deal of flexibility and creativity. The Holiday Craft Show was a huge draw. Many different types of vendors filled the ballroom carrying Christmas decor, wreaths, jewelry, clothing, wool mittens, woodworking projects, signs, candles, crocheted items, lap blankets, floral arrangements and much more. There truly was something for most anyone's interest and many gift ideas. In the future I would like to take an official tour and checkout pricing for a yearly event I'm involved with. Your options: rent Henry's (not equipped for bridal parties -- no hair, makeup, or staging space) or squeeze into limited space downstairs. At our wedding, our groomsmen had to physically carry my Aunt up the stairs so she could get ready with me. If anyone in your party -- or any guest -- has mobility issues, think hard about this. The overcharging isn't subtle, and it's documented on their own social media. At their "Grand Opening," booked couples were charged $25 to park in a baseball field and get shuttled in -- a detail they didn't disclose until the day of. For $75, you could get VIP parking up front, conveniently reserved for friends and family of the owners based on a convo I had in the restroom with a family member of the owners - whom they'd already had a party for the night before.. Paying customers in the cheap seats, insiders up front -- make of that what you will - especially when the insiders also participated the night before. And once again: if you had accessibility needs, you found out about the parking situation four hours before your event, with no plan in place. The owner also changed outfits no less than three times at the Grand Opening alone -- who knows how many wardrobe changes happen at the other promotional parties she throws so often. Multiple costume changes for an event isn't cheap, and it's hard not to wonder how much of what we paid went toward funding that kind of spectacle instead of, say, an elevator. The "booked out for years" claim doesn't square with the constant promotional parties. If you're really booked solid, why the ongoing push for exposure? Add-on costs pile up fast: $300 for outside DJs to plug into their sound system, $125/hour for coat check attendants. The venue and grounds are genuinely beautiful -- but you're decorating roughly 18,000 sq ft, and that does not come cheap. Speaking as a bride who got married there in June 2026: don't expect any breaks on cost. Bottom line: they're new, but "new" doesn't excuse repeated bad calls that vendors are already talking about. I wouldn't recommend Westwood. Had we known about the missing elevator upfront, we wouldn't have booked. A venue that prioritizes sound quality over basic accessibility for grandparents, parents, kids, and even the bride herself tells you everything you need to know about where their priorities sit.

The weeknight discount allowed them to stay within their budget without giving up any wedding magic. Guest after guest commented on how beautiful the venue and grounds were. This venue is easily accessible from I-74, but the trees, blooming flowers, and fountains create a hidden-away ambiance. Lizton Lodge's day-of-coordinator, Gracie, made every step of the process smooth, allowing me to relax and enjoy the festivities. Their large decor inventory, linen rentals, and attention to detail made the reception hall shine - all we provided were the greenery and flowers. She secured the venue the day before for the wedding rehearsal and we had plenty of time to set everything up and rehearse at the venue from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. she hoped to have the wedding outside but the weather did not cooperate. They told us at the farm that they would make the flip from outside to inside or inside to outside dependent on the weather but we never had a shot at it. This venue was very budget-friendly compared to other venues that she had looked at. I will say if you set up the day before or early at all and you are eating there do not set your plates and glasses out ahead of time. As people walk across the floor on the top level little bits of dust fall down in the plates. It wasn't a big deal I just re-washed everything but it would be a big deal if you had more people there than what we had. We had 50 in attendance. Overall I would recommend this as a good place to go if you need a venue for your wedding or event.

It's no secret that I'm a fan of CoHatch, a 30+ location network of co-working, community spaces…read morethat has been in existence for just under 10 years since its start by six friends in Columbus, Ohio. CoHatch, which has hosted at least a couple Yelp events that I can remember, currently has five locations in Central Indiana (a sixth, Circle Centre, I believe has closed). The locations include Polk Stables, Zionsville, Carmel, Noblesville, and this location in Broad Ripple. This location is housed in a former church (I know it used to be Common Grounds and I'm pretty certain it was at least one church before that). There's still some of the stained glass windows present. Managed by Jenna, whom I met during a Polk Stables Yelp event, this location seems to be quite busy. While I didn't get a chance to go around it as much as I'd have liked as I was here for an actual meeting, I was impressed with the decor, amenities, the people I met, and the efforts to make it accessible. Let's start there. Not every CoHatch location is truly accessible - they tend to locate in unique and often historic buildings. This can create challenges to true accessibility. This location has accessible parking in the back along with a ramp that goes up to one of the doorways. If you're not a member, you'll have to be let in. I wasn't completely thrilled with the end of the ramp - it's got a bit of a lip to it, however, the effort is obvious and it definitely works. The parking is also truly ADA compliant. I didn't notice all the businesses here, however, I did note that the Sagamore Institute maintains offices here. This location has the usual coworking spaces, a large event space, an outdoor area with a patio and kitchen, a sports simulator, and private offices. They have high-speed Wifi, coffee/tea options, meeting rooms (we used one to record an interview), 24/7 access, phone booths, office supplies, mailbox service, printing/copying, workshops for members, a kitchen, and an onsite manager. The neighborhood feels safe and is a pretty easy jaunt over to Broad Ripple's main strip. I like the decor, though found it a bit more plain than some of the locations. I think Polk Stables remains my favorite of the Central Indiana locations. This location is probably the closest to my home and it's definitely someplace I could see myself working. As someone who does a lot of social outreach/charity work, I definitely saw spaces I could bring to life here. I also did notice the restroom offered nice accessibility and there were some personal supplies in the restrooms - nice touch. I'd wanted to stop into this place and was pleased when I found out a meeting was going to be here. I finally got to check it out and was definitely impressed.

My meeting was a fun way to be exposed to this location and will definitely be returning to try out some of the other spots for meetings or work.
