As a vendor in the event business, I highly recommend this space. The owners, the staff, and the grounds are absolutely awesome.

However, each of the items we ordered had excellent flavor. I would come back again purely for the fries and beer. Might need to scout the table options in order to identify where we would prefer to be seated for a more comfortable dining experience.

Important update - Carnival rides have returned to the Boone County Fair. Rides run from Wed -…read moreSaturday. I saw over a dozen rides including my favorite, the merry-go-round. Lots of carnival games were set up to open this afternoon. The Beehive cafe offers air conditioned, clean dining courtesy of the Boone County Extension Homemakers. I had a $5 Pork Tenderloin, which was a great deal. I also enjoyed watermelon and fried mushrooms, but used great restraint to not indulge in the locally made pies. The people are salt-of-the-earth friendly with a common love of agriculture. This year, there were more food trucks than in past years. I saw funnel cakes, corn dogs, blooming onions and much more. Lots of animals, exhibits and events are scheduled throughout the event. I don't know what "barrel racing" is, but it's happening tonight. Parking and admission are still FREE, so you can use all your money on food! Parking was easy in and out. This is a great small town fair with reasonable prices and lots of fun. The fair runs July 29-26.

What was amazing and appreciated is the fairground not only had the buildings air conditioned but also had connecting tunnels between buildings. So it felt like being in one big building. Each building had access to indoor restrooms that were very well maintained. Participants RVs had access to set ups directly next to the buildings so it wasnt a long hike to show ones dogs. Regular parking wasnt far away. Plus plenty of handicapped spots. Really liked this venue. Would come here again. I would attend this venue again.

It is near a shopping area, so if you forget anything their is an Ulta, Dicks, Drugstore, grocery store etc all within less than a mile. Also there is plenty of food choices. An asian steak/sucshi house, city BBQ, Chikafilet, wendys etc.... That makes for a great location. The hotel itself is well staffed and clean. The luggage valet trolleys were a little dirty. They have free breakfast in the AM, offer team and coffee 24/7, have free apples at the desk. Plus a large pantry of add on foods/items to charge to room. Nice. I left my toothbrush at the last hotel, no problem, tey comp'd me a new one. Room is spacious. Lots of storage. Luggage rack, fairly comfortable bed. Room not overcrowded with furniture. Thats a plus. Decorated on trend. Bathroom has glass door not flimsy curtain. Also nice. What deductd a star is they choose to use what looks like a matress pad for their comforter. It is so thin it barely keeps one warm. Plus they fail to disclose to make the air lower at night you must adjust the wall unit AND window unit. Odd. That shouldnt be a thing one needs to do. Seems inefficient. Other than that, was very happy to stay here. Staff was excellent.

Friends and family dropped by to enjoy the gathering, food and games. Kids were free to roam and play, and adults were free to reminisce and renew connections. It was a beautiful and rich time for us, and the site was perfect. My nephews rented the cabins, we were able to spend time with their wives all the grand nephews as well. The lodge worked well for serving food and for after hours relaxation.

The farms primary mission is to help fight food insecurity in Hamilton County and to provide nutrient rich organic vegetables to our local food bank. It is primarily staffed by volunteers, and I am one of them. I see people who believe in this mission out there working their butts off to help other people they will never know. That brings a tear to my eye. The vegetables are always first class, and last much longer than anything you can buy in local stores. I know where they are grown, I can walk among the fields and touch the carrot tops, I can smile at the chickens. They have gorgeous flowers starting this year that are part of the CSA membership. Get your veggies, get some flowers for your table. They have honey also, with a beekeeper who is dedicated to helping the farms mission. Too often when we think of what we receive, we judge it by its value against other similar items. In this case, with the volunteers that staff most of the farm, and the mission to fight food insecurity, there are no other veggies like this in Hamilton County. When comparing to a farmers market, it helps to understand that other local farms are not helping to feed the hungry, and are also not trying to grow sustainably. Teter is. I will gladly continue my membership! They rock!
