We had my daughters reception here and it was absolutely beautiful. They've made a lot of improvements over the year since we booked. There's still a few kinks they need to work out as they are new but it is a beautiful place. All the wood details and tables are handmade. All the lights, chandeliers and fire pits make it perfect at night. They have a wedding wall where they put all their bride and grooms names up...don't have a photo as they spelled my daughters name wrong(one of the kinks I was talking about). They have a lot of places for photos and a cute area to get married. There's private houses for the bridal party to get ready. To help work out some of the kinks...Make sure you go over what you agreed on over and over even if you think it's minimal. A few things were agreed on then became a problem the night of which no one wants to go through on their big night. They all could've been avoided easily in the set up meeting but They are still a newer venue and we lost about the last hour of our reception dealing with things that we shouldn't have had to. If it hadn't been for this and a couple other things I would definitely give 5 stars.

I contacted him twice during my stay getting no response. I Was not given the room I booked, and upon check in, the front desk staff told me the hotel was fully booked and the only room they cold give was one overlooking a construction site. The food was horrible. I ordered room service on one of my five night stay. And, I am pretty sure I was served table scraps. When ordering dinner, I asked if it would be served on a dinning cart? The person that took the order replied, " No We Don't do that. You should should have a table in the room ". I did have a small table, bed side doubling as a night stand holding a lamp. The only other option was to dine in the bed, which I did. The burger was cold in the center, cheese was congealed and fries had probably been cooked and reheated at least four times. The Door men (probably young college guys) were great! I Will not choose this hotel on an upcoming visit to Indy. Beware! 5 Star room rates! Not accompanied by 5 star service, food or staff.

I loved the whole atmosphere of the place and thought it was a perfect fit for a baby shower that didn't have to involve the typical games. Lots of carnival games were set up to open this afternoon. The Beehive cafe offers air conditioned, clean dining courtesy of the Boone County Extension Homemakers. I had a $5 Pork Tenderloin, which was a great deal. I also enjoyed watermelon and fried mushrooms, but used great restraint to not indulge in the locally made pies. The people are salt-of-the-earth friendly with a common love of agriculture. This year, there were more food trucks than in past years. I saw funnel cakes, corn dogs, blooming onions and much more. Lots of animals, exhibits and events are scheduled throughout the event. I don't know what "barrel racing" is, but it's happening tonight. Parking and admission are still FREE, so you can use all your money on food! Parking was easy in and out. This is a great small town fair with reasonable prices and lots of fun. The fair runs July 29-26.

What was amazing and appreciated is the fairground not only had the buildings air conditioned but also had connecting tunnels between buildings. So it felt like being in one big building. Each building had access to indoor restrooms that were very well maintained. Participants RVs had access to set ups directly next to the buildings so it wasnt a long hike to show ones dogs. Regular parking wasnt far away. Plus plenty of handicapped spots. Really liked this venue. Would come here again. I would attend this venue again.

The restaurant is vast and the atmosphere is comfy and rustic. The food was great and everyone seemed to enjoy it. It was all well prepared. We tried the fish, burger, mac and cheese and scallops pasta dish. I had a filet steak and it was wonderful. The staff were very knowledgeable and so helpful and friendly. They have a gift shop and sell many cool handmade items like lotions, soaps and food. If I am ever back in this area, I will absolutely come back.
